However in late November 2016, I visited New Zealand, during the time just after the major earthquake struck and whilst the earth quakes we encountered were not life threatening, it triggered an alarm every time the vibration was high enough to cross the defined line of sensitivity awareness. The main disadvantage of this app, is in how you set the sensitivity, I was running a second seismic recording device in the background to record the level of the vibration. It’s not measured in the Richter (probably mis-spelt) scale, but on a scale of 5 to 100 (I just double checked it’s the same in the latest version), which I struggled before performing comparison tests to set it by shaking the device. It would be super useful to have that feature. But on a positive, you get via a internet connection, information on seismic events in the world and lots of options. So well worth buying, if you are traveling abroad and are going to earthquake regions. ### 4/5 — Fun and Useful!!! But READ!! *2018-11-09* This app is fun and useful!! But I really want to measure earthquakes!!! So can you add a line with numbers on the side so I can measure earthquakes??? Anyways, this app was good and fine. So when you shake it, it can create very funny things. It really works, but it depends if San Andreas (movie reference)happens.
