### 3/5 — Obtrusive ads

*2025-05-22, version 2.4*

It’s great! But recently they made it so you get five ads in a row with a 5 second counter for each and if you miss the centre of the x button then you will be thrown from the app to go look at whatever site it was advertising.
If you don’t finish all your ads then it will not let you use the app.

### 3/5 — No volume control

*2025-05-20*

It would be great if the app had several options to choose from for the alarm… some that are not as loud as others. Or, place a volume slide in the settings so we can turn the alarm down. Otherwise, a great app.

### 3/5 — Uninstalling App

*2025-02-03*

I will be uninstalling the app after successfully using it for the past year. Why ? Because the app is forcing me to share my location at all times with it rather than while using it only. It takes me to settings and will not let me proceed until I make that change. I refuse to have it track me when not even using the app, so it can sell my data to a data broker? No Thanks !!

### 3/5 — Useful app but loud ads are annoying

*2024-03-19, version 2.4*

Autoplaying ad that blares music even in silent mode is not what I want on a busy bus at 8 in the morning

### 3/5 — Hard to Silence Alarm

*2023-10-12*

This app works as advertised. However, the only way to silence the alarm once it goes off is within the app. On the iPhone anyway, pressing buttons do not silence the alarm after it has gone off. Awkward on a crowded train. Hopefully the developer will create a fix for this.

### 3/5 — Too loud for a sleeping app

*2023-05-20*

Would like to be able to use this when sleeping in close quarters on a tour bus, but the blaring ads - which cannot be silenced before entering a destination - have made this app too rude to run. I assume this is known to the developer since it is a painfully obvious flaw. It is also disappointing to not be able to zoom in to see which road / route we are on. Overall a pretty good concept and execution but in general I will be sticking to a classic alarm.

### 4/5 — Can’t change the volume

*2023-01-30*

Duress the job, but the volume of the alarm can’t be changed.

### 3/5 — Subject writing needed

*2022-09-08*

I wish it could support subject writing for selected location alarm

### 3/5 — Can’t Close Out of Ads

*2021-04-28, version 2.4*

Can’t close out of ads

### 4/5 — You are super cool! Butt need to polish it:)

*2020-01-19, version 2.4*

Hey. Thanks for the great app.its full-featuredwith suggestions and other useful tips in comparison with alternatives.
I would like to improve it a bit. If. You can share the code - I would love to make a pull request.
First thing - I want to show notification on Apple Watch with option to disable alarm. It would be much better that dig in the pocket with a hurry in front of sleeping

 Neighborhood 🤙

1) Miss open street maps layer for the app. I can help you to implement it if you are interested in.
Veru good that you mentioned open source library. Respect!! :)

2) And one more thing: would be cool to add Apple Watch integration! Also let me know I you willing to collaborate on this. Cheers!

3) missing current distance till point information during movement! 🙏

4) please add confirmation to stop alarm. It's very easy to press it randomly

5) location radius circle not updated when I change it (need to reposition pin to update radius)

### 3/5 — Requires you to always allow gps tracking

*2019-11-01, version 2.3*

Cannot set tracking to only while app is open. Pop up will open and force you to set gps tracking to “always” before it even lets you get back to the app settings or features again. Otherwise, worked good and would have been brilliant. OmniBuzz does the same thing and you do NOT need to set to always to use.

### 3/5 — Great but a few issue....

*2018-12-13, version 2.3*

I discovered this app recently after falling asleep on the train and missing my stop.

I love it and works flawlessly. I paid to have the ads removed to buy the developer a coffee.

Since making the in-app purchase, I’ve noticed a few annoying issues.

1. You listen to music on your headphones. When you fire up the app and set a destination, it cuts out the music. You have to then go and un-pause the music.

2. You cannot always zoom. Happens when settings destination and also when it’s in progress. It’s zoomed so far away that you can’t even see the blue dot moving.

Please sort these issues out and I will change my rating to 5 stars.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just money hungry

*2024-08-11, version 2.4*

Can’t use the app without a bunch of adds.

### 1/5 — Full screen 1 minute ad

*2023-11-28, version 2.4*

Forced a full screen 1 minute ad

### 1/5 — Requires location services always on

*2023-05-04*

Appeared to require location services always on. Works great if you want to be constantly tracked.

### 1/5 — No option

*2022-03-14*

The app won’t let me into it unless it is set to “always” for location, instead of while I’m using it. So I deleted it.

### 1/5 — App insists on spying on you.

*2020-03-06, version 2.4*

I gave it a go and it worked well but it didn’t like being able to track me only when I was using it. It kept nagging me to let it track me at all times and would not accept no for an answer.

Don’t ever use, buy or support software that won’t let you choose what level of personal safety you’re comfortable with.

### 1/5 — I thought this was set and forget.

*2019-10-31*

I thought I could set this once and it would go off every day. Like a permanent alarm. That does not appear to be the case. That makes this pretty useless.

**Developer response:** Hello, I am sorry that WakeMeHere is not satisfying your needs, but there is a huge problem with constantly monitoring your location to such a degree that WakeMeHere could wake you up reliable: Your battery time.

Your iPhone would be empty after 2-3 hours every day.

Also I am not sure why you would need a location alarm that goes off every day at the same location without you thinking about it? Maybe there is a better way to build something for your use case.

If you have the time please send me an email to daniel@levire.com and we can discuss this further and maybe I am able to help you.

Best,
Daniel

### 1/5 — Useless, the location search bar is broken

*2019-10-04, version 2.3*

As the title says really, pressing return with something typed in the location search bar, or hitting the search icon does nothing, so there’s no way for me to search for a location to set an alarm at.

### 1/5 — Ads every time you set an alarm

*2019-08-07, version 2.3*

Really... a video ad every time you set an alarm. If you’re going to do this at least offer an in app purchase to remove the ads.

### 1/5 — Simply doesn’t work

*2019-04-09, version 2.3*

All gps settings turned on all the time but just sailed through my intended station with no alarm. Not impressed

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-04-12, version 2.1.1*

I installed it and typed in a location by cross roads and there is no search button. Tap the screen and nothing. It would only let me put in a city. No help at all

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This app needs to be added to RTD

*2025-06-29*

I’ve missed my exit on the bus so many times because I fell asleep drunk. Ever since I downloaded the “WakeMeHere” app, I’ve been able to responsibly drink on the bus, pass out, and have the WakeMeHere app wake me up when my exit was close! In the future I imagine myself falling asleep in St. Louis Missouri, and setting the app to wake me up when I get to Kansas City.

P.S. Hopefully you can get in touch with someone at RTD so they can integrate your “WakeMeHere” with this creative add on. If RTD had a few more of these ideas in their app I would probably pay an extra 5 bucks a month for it!

Thanks Daniel, Cheers!

### 5/5 — Best GPS alarm app out there!

*2025-01-28*

Lovvvvvve this app. Works perfect 100% of the time!!
I NEVER miss my stop!
…even with phone on vibrate, alarm rings through! Works great!

### 5/5 — Brilliant App

*2023-09-22, version 2.4*

I used to use the clock app to estimate the time it would take to reach somewhere, now I can get maximum sleep as I am woken up when I arrive at the location (traffic doesn’t have an effect on the alarm anymore)

### 5/5 — Absolute life saver

*2021-04-17, version 2.4*

I can not tell you how much this app has saved me from missing my stop because i’ve had a bad night before school. I owe the devs everything because i would be in such bad situations if it wasn’t for this app!

### 5/5 — Missing from home screen

*2020-11-13*

I installed the app but cannot find it on Home Screen. When I go to App Store to install again there’s “open” button but no “install” button. Where is the app?

### 5/5 — Great convenience for transit riders!

*2020-01-25*

At the end of a long day, it’s easy to get lulled into a nap while riding home on the bus. With this app, that’s no issue - set, forget, get woke!

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2019-10-30*

The lovely person who runs this app, Daniel pays attention to every review and fixes the problems. He resolved the issue I had, and I wish him luck in anything he does, as he is clearly such a kind soul.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind words!

### 5/5 — Yay Naps

*2019-01-23*

Thanks for letting me catch some extra z’s on the way to work. Nice loud alarm and it can be broadcast only through your headphones. Made my commute much nicer!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-05-08, version 2.1.1*

Works exactly as required

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-02-04*

The app works great!
Love the new design. A little disappointed to see the option to add favorites doesn't exist any more..

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! I am sorry that you miss the favorite feature, but it's kinda there automatically anyway. WakeMeHere now remembers your history of wakeup-locations and as soon as you enter the search screen by tapping on the search bar, you'll be shown your 5 last entries. From this you can simple reactivate a recently used wake location.

Since your favorites are basically your wake locations you want to use very often, the chance is high that you'll find your favorites right there.

I hope that helps!
Thanks again for the 5-star review.
Daniel!
