The Wakespeed App allows for simple and reliable configuration, updating, monitoring, and diagnostics of your Wakespeed Offshore WS500 and WS500 Pro Advanced Regulator. Create configurations using Wakespeed's 100's of built in of pre-defined, manufacturer recommended configuration parameters for batteries, alternators, and BMS's; select the brand and models you are using from three easy-to navigate screens to create a customized configuration for your regulator -- just pick-n-go. 'Expert Mode' allows the configuration to be further refined and customized, including adjusting the Charge Profile and accessing some of the more advanced options and capabilities. Once you have created your configuration it may be saved for later retrieval, shared with others via the built in 'share' tools (Email, messaging, etc), or sent to your WS500 / WS500 Pro Alternator Regulator. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your WS500 Pro using Bluetooth to configure, monitor, update, or take logs. With your WS500 regulator 'share' your configuration with a Windows based PC and use the Wakespeed "Universal Configuration Utility" (downloadable at http://www.wakespeed.com/technical ) and a USB cable. Alternatively you can share the configuration to an Android based phone for direct transfer using an OTG adapter. Configuration and updating can even be done before the WS500 / WS500-Pro is installed by powering it through the USB port. Specifically, Victron NG (Next Generation) products. VERY difficult compilenanfilentonimporrnehrn none of the parameters work with each other and it makes guessing a turkey shoot. ### 3/5 — Great Regulator; Lousy App *2025-06-09* I recently had a Wakespeed WS 500 Pro regulator installed to manage our new Balmar 170 amp alternator. It does a superb job managing enabling faster, charging better, efficiency, and perfect integration with the other parts of our battery system. However, the WAKE speed app is horrible. It is extremely confusing. Fortunately, you don’t need to use the app other than to configure the regulator the first time for the alternator and batteries. ### 1/5 — Version 1.10.1(66) text file *2024-11-24* When done with configuration and saved, turn on expert mode to export/share .txt file. ### 1/5 — Latest version 1.10.1(66) won’t export config txt file *2024-09-25* This latest version of the app (1.10.1(66)) does not share the configuration text file. Instead you get a text file that simply says the attached configuration files were created using the Wakespeed app and you get a text file.jason file. You do NOT get a text configuration file as you did with an older version of the app. So now I can’t even create a configuration file using this iOS app, save it, and move it to a windows machine so that I can import it from there. Now I HAVE to use an Android device to directly import the configuration to the WS500 because they broke the ability to share(export) the text based configuration file from this iOS app and you can’t use the iOS app to communicate with the WS500. Ridiculous.
