## What is WakeVerse?

The first thing you touch in the morning shapes your whole day. For most of us, it is the snooze button, then the noise of social media. WakeVerse replaces that moment with the Word of God.

WAKE UP WITH THE WORD

WakeVerse is a real alarm clock: it rings even in silent mode, even with Do Not Disturb on, even after a restart. And when you stop it, you do not land on your notifications. You land on a Bible verse chosen for what you are going through.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Tell us what you need most right now: peace, courage, strength, hope, trust or gratitude.
2. Set your wake-up time and days. Your alarm rings with a gentle piano that can rise progressively.
3. Stop the alarm, read your verse over a sunrise, and say Amen. Your streak grows morning after morning.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT

- A dependable alarm built on Apple's native alarm technology: silent mode, Focus modes and a locked phone cannot stop it
- Verses chosen by theme, not at random: your mornings meet you where you are
- Dawn landscapes, elegant typography and a calm reading moment designed to be the opposite of doomscrolling
- A streak that grows each morning you show up
- Share the verse that carried you as a beautiful image, in one tap
- Optional progressive volume for a gentler wake-up
- Scripture in English (Berean Standard Bible) and French (Segond 1910)

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-22

Your morning verse, with the music you choose.
• Pick your ringtone and the gentle volume ramp while you set your very first alarm.
• Mute the music from the wake-up screen whenever you want a silent morning — WakeVerse remembers.
• The verse now appears however you stop the alarm, including from the lock screen or with the app already open.
• The wake-up music is audible again on a phone left in silent mode.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-15

Your home screen no longer reveals the verse waiting for you.

Until now it showed the verse of the current day, so opening the app after
midnight gave away the one your alarm was meant to unveil. It now shows the last
verse you actually read, and keeps tomorrow morning a surprise.

Your streak, your verse and the countdown to your next alarm also refresh the
moment you come back to the app, instead of keeping the values from whenever you
first opened it.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-11

More reliable mornings. This update fixes two behaviours that got in the way of
daily use.

YOUR ALARM SETTINGS NOW STAY PUT
Turning your alarm off used to erase your wake-up time and days: reopening the
app brought everything back to 7:00, Monday to Friday. Your schedule is now
kept. Turning the alarm off means "do not ring", not "forget my settings".

A READABLE COUNTDOWN
When your next wake-up is more than a day away, the home screen now shows
"2d 23h" instead of "71h 2m". The maths was already right — only the display
looked like an error.

ONE VERSE CORRECTED
Psalm 92:1-2 was missing its closing punctuation, on screen and on the shared
image.

ALSO
The subscription screen opens faster.
