## What is WakeYa?

Your alarm doesn't beep. It calls you — and it doesn't hang up until you're actually awake.

WakeYa rings like any alarm clock. But instead of a tone you'll snooze through in your sleep, an AI voice starts talking. It knows your name. It asks you things. And it keeps going until you have proven that you are awake.

WHY IT WORKS
If you're a heavy sleeper, a tone is just a sound you have learned to sleep through. A voice asking what 7 × 8 is is a problem your brain has to wake up to solve.

FOUR PERSONALITIES
• The Skeptic — dry, unhurried, wants proof
• Gentle Coach — warm, patient, never harsh
• Drill Sergeant — volume and zero negotiation
• The Commentator — your wake-up, commentated live like a cup final

THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS
Gentle gives you three snoozes. Standard gives you one. Relentless gives you none — and makes you wait the longest before the app will even let you give up.

HOW YOU PROVE IT
Pick the wake-up test yourself, or let the caller surprise you every morning: solve a small math problem out loud, repeat a phrase word for word, count backwards in threes or sevens, say what you're getting up for, or hold three words through the whole call and give them back at the end.

THE GET-UP PROOF
Ten minutes after the alarm, WakeYa comes back and checks that you stayed up. Run a tap and let your phone hear it — the listening happens on the device, offline — or solve a math problem on the number pad. If your phone has already counted you walking around, it stays quiet. Talking your way out of a call is not the same as being out of bed.

WAKE PROFILES
Work, weekend, holiday, Ramadan — each with its own alarms, personality and rules. Switch once, everything follows.

RISE GENTLY IF YOU WANT
Optional soft volume ramp over 30 seconds to 2 minutes, so you're eased awake instead of launched out of bed.

FAJR PRAYER MODE
WakeYa follows your local Fajr time, recalculated daily, with an optional offset for suhoor. Pick your city from a built-in list of 31,000 or type in coordinates — there is no location permission, and your location never leaves your phone. Quiet reminders for all five daily prayers, a month view of the times, and the Hijri date on your home screen. Fajr is always gentle: never mocking, and the AI never recites religious texts. There is no recorded adhan either — WakeYa is the voice that keeps going until you are actually up for it.

ALSO IN THE APP
Bedside clock mode for the nightstand, timers, a stopwatch, one-off events, repeating habit reminders, and 13 themes.

16 LANGUAGES
English, German, Turkish, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indonesian — both the voice on the call and the app itself.

BUILT SO IT ALWAYS RINGS
No network, no AI, something broken on our side — WakeYa falls back to a classic alarm tone. Nobody oversleeps because of our infrastructure. That isn't a feature we added; it's the rule everything else is built around.

PRIVACY IS THE PRODUCT
No account. No sign-up. No ad tracking, no analytics SDK, no profile. There is no database with your name in it, because there is no database. What WakeYa learns about your mornings stays on your phone.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Everything is free for 7 days — no card, no login. After that WakeYa stays a complete alarm clock for free, with the AI voice you picked reading pre-recorded lines. Premium unlocks the live AI: it knows your name, remembers your mornings, and actually talks back. Premium includes 3 live wake-up calls a day (snoozes included), up to 5 minutes each; beyond that the recorded voice takes over.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-31

Faster to set up, easier to get around.

New: a getting-started list that walks you through the app, and an AI tab that shows exactly what your caller knows about you. You can now hear the Fajr tones before you pick one.

Fixed: the running-tap proof works again — it had been quietly falling back to the number pad every time. The clock now follows your phone's 12/24-hour setting, and the wake-up call gets through on a shaky connection.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-22

Your alarm, harder to sleep through.

The get-up check now really rings instead of waiting quietly on your screen. Alarms are set reliably again even while the app is in the background — on some phones that could silently fail.

New: WakeYa tells you when your phone is holding the wake-up call back, and where to change it.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-20

Steadier alarms, from the ring to the screen.

This release is all reliability. We fixed the rare crashes we could find — including one during the trial call at the end of setup — and tightened the path that brings your wake-up screen up and ends the ring afterwards.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-16

Your Fajr caller, right in setup — and an honest look at Premium.

• Pick your Fajr caller while setting up: four tones, gentle to strict.
• You can now see which features need the live AI. Nothing was taken away.
• The trial call at the end of setup often failed on the first try — fixed.
