But I happened to stumble upon the website and really enjoyed how it was laid out so I took to getting the app. I really like how customizable it is and how clean and updated the layout looks. I particularly like that you can unlock special features in the app through a one time purchase of which you can choose from 3 different affordable prices, the lowest of which, $1.99. They don’t make you commit to a subscription or a large amount in order to unlock even more of a customizable approach to your app, which is something I can really appreciate. I enjoy helping out people and developers but not everyone can afford subscriptions and such so it is very nice that the app/website doesn’t ask for much from the users. It’s incredibly convenient. I’m a big fan of tracking my progress and seeing how accomplished of a weaboo I am!! The customization is really nice too. The website is even more impressive and fleshed out. Some of the website’s features are missing on the app and I hope those features will find there way on the easy-to-access interface of the app someday, but for now I’m content. **Developer response:** We appreciate your support and love for the app's convenience and customization! ### 5/5 — An amazing app *2024-08-18* WakuWaku is the first place that I really started watching anime. I got premium right away and have been watching shows religiously for the past two years. The amount of shows that I could watch and the different options to find shows made it easy to fill my free time. When the new UI changed in the recent update, it got so much easier to find shows that I like because of the recommendations it gives you. The only problem I have is that a feature I used a lot in the old UI was checking what new episodes come out everyday in the “new” tab. There is a section to see what shows are getting new episodes in the season, but it doesn’t really tell you when a new episode itself comes out. Thank you for being a part of our community! ### 5/5 — Excellent application *2024-08-18* I would like to clarify that the application is pretty good I have to admit that if you see it and I really liked it a lot the only thing I would like to add is that they add an option where one could see how many chapters an anime has because I have noticed that it is an option that it does not have and I think it would be very helpful also I think adding a section where we can add the anime and mark it as watched anime so we know which anime we have seen I know there is something similar but it is something quite vague and I think people would not understand it very clearly so I think adding that option to mark mood and as watched and that one can see that section of watched anime would be really great **Developer response:** We appreciate your positive feedback and clever suggestions! ### 5/5 — Something wrong with the ad *2024-08-18* Ok so I’m just watching the anime and the an ad play so I’m like aright but then when the ad plays nothing pops up so I exit out of it and go back then it works. Now when I try that it doesn’t work it like “here an ad” then it give me no ad so I try everything to give me the ad to continue the show but nothing works. So I’m just waiting there seeing a blank screen just waiting for the ad. I had waited SO LONG for the ad to pop up (it was 4 hour) I was determined to get the ad to pop up. I just gave up on waiting for this ad to pop up because I know that it’s not going to so I’m like “welp” I’m doing something else. Then after a day or so I went back to see if it was happening again it went back to normal the after one episode it like “ ohh you wanna watch the second episode nope”. Then my screen turned blank so I reset the app then try watching other show but it didn’t work the same thing happen. So can you please look into it. Like black butler for instance. Pretty sure there is a book of Atlantic, you should put that and there is black butler in wonderland or Ciel in wonderland but that should be added too. Asking the sailor moon series I know for a fact that the sailor moon on there now is the new version I can tell by how she transforms, I think the other sailor moon movies or episodes should be on here as well. I could tell by the transformation as I recal her arm never looked like spaghetti and they never changed into sailor senshi like that. Also there should be less ads! There is constantly so many ad pop ups it drives me nuts! Instead of about 25 ads you should put like maybe 5 or 6 or even give them a choice or something. Bc not everyone wants to be watching there favorite anime and then a super juicy part comes on then BOOM! An ad pops up. Not a very good thing now is it? You might get lower ratings but I still think this is a gr8 app! But there are still problems I have been having and I have reported the problems over and over but the developers haven’t fixed it yet. I honestly don’t mind the ads I can afford to spend 1-2 minutes in ads but the ads are not the problem here. Ok so I have been having a problem in which the ads freeze every single time. I usually have to log out of the app because of it. If your going to put ads at lest don’t make it so I have to waste 10 minutes of my time having to wait for the dam ad to actually begin. I have also been having a problem in which the subtitles don’t work, sometimes the subtitles don’t appear at all. I honestly would love this app and use it 24/7 if you guys would fix these problems. WakuWaku’s anime has saved me from difficult and depressing period in my life. And now with their updated library, I get all the latest anime shows and movies I want. It’s probably been over a decade since I started using WakuWaku and so far I’ve streamed countless hours of anime without a single glitch! Your feedback means a lot to us. ### 5/5 — Amazing!! *2024-08-14* This app is essential for otaku! It's easy to navigate, has a plethora of titles, efficient, and keeps you updated with air dates. One of my favorite (and one I use a lot) features of this app is being able to 1. See all the characters in the series selected and 2. being able to see their VA’s! It includes their Japanese and English voice actors a long with any other dubs it may have. Plus, it gives you background information on said voice actor a long with their other time roles they've voiced. Another really beneficial feature is the quick add! Whenever you finish an episode in a series, all you have to do is locate the show in your list and then swipe to the right to automatically add an episode watched. I just really wish there were profiles! I currently can watch 4 screens at a time which is really nice. Unfortunately, if I’m watching the same anime as someone else in the house and we’re in different spots, it looses each others spots. For the anime’s with less episodes it’s not too big of a deal. When we’re both watch One Piece it is VERY inconvenient! Especially when I’m 730 something episodes in and they just started. It’s definitely not a good time when I binge and not even sure what season on I’m. Other than not having profiles crunchy roll is great. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! ### 5/5 — Opinions about text *2024-08-13* There was once a bug that if you turned your vertically (like an iPod) and then turned it back horizontally, the text would appear bigger, and more at the bottom of the screen. I used this bug only for watching Bleach, because of the screen size. I loved that the text was at the bottom when I did this bug, but due to the fact that I can’t do this bug anymore, kinda ticks me when I see the text floating above the bottomish part of the screen. I hope there’s an option for this on like older anime (like Bleach). Another complaint is that sometimes the text would move to the top of the screen temporarily? Also annoying because it won’t stay in one spot. Hope that there’s a setting for that also soon, but I dunno. One of my favorite features is being able to see when new episodes will approx. come out once they’re are near their release date. I also like that I was able to find many of the anime and manga I have watched/read or plan to watch/read. Of course not all of the manga I was looking for is there but it’s honestly not a problem. Also at first I thought this was the case for a portion of the anime I wanted to list, but then I found out some of them were filtered and I was able to change that with the apps help. Just kind of have to look for that a little (for y’all who had this issue). As a bonus: I also like that I can customize not only the interface but also the app icon by just buying a tip (really recommend ? and please support the dev.) It is clear that the Dev worked so hard on this so I’m really happy to say I support this guy and hope other users too. Went premium right away, and honestly, I don’t even care that it went to 7.99. I canceled my Netflix in favor of it. I watch WakuWaku probably 5-6 days a week. My queue is a mile long and I’m still trying to catch up. I’ve seen more shows than I can keep track of, and even rewatched some that I’d already seen, completely forgetting I had already seen them. They have the newest shows during the hottest trends, and with the fastest turnaround time between Japan’s original air time and their stream release. It’s literally like same-day. Back in the day we had to torrent shows and find awful sites to try and get anime from, and some of it (most of it) wasn’t even legal. Or the subs were done by fan groups that got a lot wrong. If you’re an anime fan, skip the other garbage and just drop the 8 bucks a month for premium. It’s worth it. Not to mention that I’ve met some of the staff at Otakon and they’re genuinely cool people. I’ll gladly give them my cash to support what they’re doing. They do it better than everyone else. Please consider using our support options within the app for more details on this issue. ### 5/5 — Amazing app but a few glitches with premium. *2024-08-21* This app is the best source of anime that I have used, but I have noticed some stuff with premium of which I do not know if they are intentionally implemented or if they are accidentally added, there are glitches and how you can exploit it for free anime with no ads by having extra time that has been happening to me. You see, a recent glitch is happening for it to always give you 2 weeks free, I will elaborate on that later. 1st, I just want to say how great this app is, even without premium, you can watch many subs and dubs for free, I do love this aspect but every time I buy a month of premium, it always gives me 2 weeks extra. It’s just SAO or self promotion, I still love the app but I unless you get premium your stuck watching the same ads over and over. Sometimes there is a new ad but it just disappears as I only see it once or twice, then I just see re:zero season two being spammed, I recommend having more diversity like giving less popular anime a chance, for example an anime a watch called Charlotte is often overlooked by the community as bigger anime’s like one piece is getting attention. Another thing, some ads like mha season 4 has been out for some time and doesn’t need ads for it as people have most likely known about the new season. I understand paying for premium supports WakuWaku and all that but I realized that the only anime that doesn’t need premium is “My Hero Academia” and yeah there’s probably other ones that don’t need premium. I know there’s other people on the app that are also upset because you have to pay for premium “we” want to be satisfied by all the anime right? So why put premium for like all the anime’s? And also the 1 free episode is always the one that gets you into the anime! I really want you guy’s to at least take it on the most popular anime’s. I’m really interested on watching “ Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club” so yeah- ( sorry i sounded rude ?) Since I started watching MHA- straight to the point the ads are annoying why is there like 10 in each episode? Not only that but in one ad it adds up to 2-3 like I can’t enjoy watching the anime anymore tbh bring it down a little please.. like 3 ads is enough. Please and thank you fix the ads problem! Please reduce the ads to 1 short ad or something, because if you always put the ads into 6 ads in a row, it'll be horrible. 2. The horrible thing is I cannot get premium on WakuWaku because my family needs to save money. This is very annoying and can you like reduce the ads to only 1 ad every 2/3 minutes because I always see the same ads which is annoying. I usually think you get ads every 2/3 minutes, but a One Piece episode has 24 minutes, so reducs the ads to 1 ad please!
