This app is a MUST HAVE for your trip to Walden Pond! It is not only informative of Thoreau, the land, and its history, but also offers reflective insights that draw transcendentalist concepts to the present day, offering a taste of Thoreau for ourselves. Includes a useful map and walking tour.

A wonderful “feet on the ground” resource to learn about Henry David Thoreau’s beloved Walden Pond, then and now.  

Nice blend of technology (GPS directions with site-specific info as you walk around the pond), literature, history, and science.  

It is not only educational, but inspirational.
