Not worth purchasing the product. Don’t hurt yourself like I did trying to quickly look in your ear before app became frozen and or choppy. ### 1/5 — Do not recommend this at all. *2022-02-08, version 1.4.4* This product was beyond disappointing for me. My ear has been clogged for the last few weeks and thought I should finally buy a camera to see deep in my ear. I downloaded the app and after about 20-30 seconds of using it, the camera started to lag and become very choppy. That can be very bad especially with putting something deep in your ear. I think that’s why some people are having problems because they do not realize you need to charge the scope for an hour before using. Can clearly see the ear drum. Can also photo area and email or text it to your doctor! First of all, the device was very inexpensive, so i wasnt expecting much, but the video quality is decent. The only problem i have is figuring out which way the camera is facing. I feel like i am turning the device left, but it is turning right. There should be a way to invert the camera. But to the people saying it only works once… as you know, you first need to connect your phone to the wifi of the device. But as SOON as you put the cap back on, it will disconnect from the wifi, you have to go back into your phone settings and reconnect your phone to the device. It does not reconnect automatically. I think that if there was a little more activity and support from the developers of this app, by commenting on peoples bad ratings, giving them feedback, the app might not have such a low rating. The device does heat up quickly from the LED light, but if it gets too hot, you can take a 5 minute break and it should be fine. I think that for the amount that i paid for this device, i am more than happy. ### 5/5 — Works as described *2021-05-29, version 1.3.7* I did not have any trouble with this connecting. I like that it only connects when I give it permission. It works as described. I would suggest a tighter fit for the scoop as it came off a few times but unrelated to the app. Move the camera very slow and remember you’re looking at it more like a mirror so move the opposite of what you think. ### 5/5 — Connects to it’s own wifi signal - amazing *2021-04-28, version 1.3.7* For those who are having issues, it just creates a unique and unsecured connection. Connect to it in the wifi setting page, then open the app and it’s pretty amazing. The build quality it solid, it feel well weighted and secure. It takes some effort to examine ones own ears, because everything is backwards. But wow is it cool to use and see. Took pics of my own eardrum. It should be a blue tooth device (intuitively) but instead it uses it’s own wifi transmitter. When you link your phone to the wifi it will say “no internet” so it’s tempting to think it isn’t working but of course there is no internet as it’s just transmitting a local wifi video signal.
