## What is Walk Habit?

No gym. No gear. Just walk.

Set today's goal, log the session, and watch your calendar fill with color. What matters isn't how well you did — it's that you showed up!

Walk Habit tracks consistency, not results. Real habits aren't built on perfect weeks. They're built on coming back, rest days included. Resting on a day you planned to rest means you kept the plan, so it counts too.

[HOW YOU LOG IT]
Start the timer and the ring shows how much time is left, the moment you reach your goal, and how far past it you have walked. Tapped End too soon? Choose "Keep Walking" and the same session continues, so a mistaken tap costs you nothing. Forgot to start the timer at all? Add the walk by hand, start time included.

[GOALS THAT FIT YOUR WEEK]
Set a different target for each weekday. Twenty minutes on Monday, five on Saturday, Friday off, whatever your week actually looks like. Need an exception just this once? Mark a single date as a rest day and your repeating schedule stays untouched.

[A RECORD THAT BUILDS]
Weekly graphs and a monthly calendar show the shape of your effort. Step back to a previous week or month and the bars you actually recorded are still there. Your daily reminder is smart enough to skip rest days and any day you have already finished.

[MOMENTS WORTH KEEPING]
Two seconds at the start and two at the finish stitch into one short Walk Clip, saved to your photo library and ready to share. Add a template to the day's photo or turn it into a GIF to keep the moment as a picture.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.6 — 2026-08-11

• Tapping End no longer finishes your walk right away. Choose "Keep Walking" to continue the same session. The timer picks up where it left off without saving a new record, so a mistaken tap or a few extra minutes costs you nothing.
• Mark a single date as a rest day without touching your repeating goal schedule. One-off rest days are reflected in your stats and goal achievement counts.
• The Goal screen now shows this week's total goal time alongside your actual walking time, including any date-specific rest days.
• The timer has been redesigned to make it much clearer how much time is left, the moment you reach your goal, and how far past it you've walked.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-06-18

Smoother workout flow and stats accuracy

• Fixed an issue where starting a second workout on the same day made the timer continue from 30:01. Each session now begins at 0:00 — today's total still accumulates in Stats.
• Lock Screen, Dynamic Island (iPhone), and notification (Android) timers also restart from 0 for each new session.
• Fixed weekly and monthly stats — navigating back to a previous week or month now shows the actual recorded data instead of an empty graph.
• Rest days (goal = 0 min) now count toward your achieved total automatically. Work out on a rest day and it turns purple.
• Daily reminders are smarter — they automatically skip rest days and any reminder after you've already hit today's goal.
• A monthly storage cleanup tip appears at the top of Stats. Tap "Don't show again" to hide it permanently.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-05-20

Fixed an issue where adding a photo to the album would create a phantom 0-minute entry in the home screen's Recent Sessions list.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-05-20

* A short Walk Clip video — 2 seconds at the start and finish stitched into one — saves to Photos so you can share that day's walk with friends or on social media.
* Active walk progress appears on the Lock Screen and notifications: iPhone Dynamic Island (iOS 16.1+) and Android notification (with a status bar progress chip on Android 16+). Pause, resume, or end your walk straight from the notification.
* Switch freely between selfie (front) and back camera when taking photos — capture scenery, objects, or yourself however the moment fits.
* Every template and unlimited GIF creation is free, regardless of support. The in-app purchase is reframed as a voluntary way to support the solo developer.
* Reporting a problem is one tap — Settings > Report a Problem, or any recent error entry, auto-attaches diagnostic info. If no mail app is available, the app shows a fallback message instead of erroring.
* A recovery prompt lets you save an interrupted timer session or a pending Walk Clip start cut. iCloud backup keeps only the latest copy and restore is more reliable.
* A weekly date selector and expandable Recent Sessions on Home make reviewing/editing past records natural, and you can set a start time for manual records. Album photo deletion and other flow details were polished as well.
* Refreshed copy tone and overall design feel. Broad Android stability across Photos saving, email reporting, ad display, alarm permissions, and data migration.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-04-15

Version 1.1.1 improves recovery, reporting, and streak reliability.

• Added a recovery prompt so you can save an in-progress workout if the app closes unexpectedly.
• Fixed session cleanup so the recovery prompt no longer appears after a workout has already been finished.
• Improved the Report a Problem flow so it works more reliably, including better fallback handling when no mail app is available.
• Fixed streak calculations so rest days and manual records are counted correctly on the Home screen.
• Removed the Pacemaker every minute setting to better match the current workout flow.
