## What is Walkable?

Walkable turns your city into a fog-of-war map. Every street you walk gets colored.

This is the first version since Claude Code took over the app's development. AI now writes the code, I steer the direction. If something feels off, blame me, not the bot.

It doesn’t have free version. The trial is only 3 days. Then you have to pay.

This app is really glitchy and doesn’t track your progress properly. It’s also pretty basic and not very engaging, especially since it doesn’t even show location names. I visited a new town once and walked all through downtown, but later the app didn’t show any of it. Not worth the time or effort.

I was looking forward to
Using this app. It recorded for part of my walk yesterday and. Nothing today, followed the advice several times plus other troubleshooting. App not colouring in buildings.

Edit, it has coloured in some building on the later part of my walk.

Another edit: all progress this morning was not saved.  Does anyone have a good experience of this app?

A big release in one update: fixed a rare crash that could stop the app from launching, repaired walk-history saving, and the free history window texts now always tell the truth about how many days you get. Mostly written by an AI: if something breaks, blame it; if it works, credit it. Happy walking!

A big under-the-hood release: all the disappearing-buildings fixes now live in one build, the mid-screen banner glitch is gone, and the map internals got a solid tidy-up. Most of this was written by an AI, so if anything breaks, blame it; if everything works, thank it. Happy walking!

### 1.3.5 — 2026-07-05

More map fixes: the app now automatically fills in the outlines of your discovered buildings so they stay visible when you zoom out — and keeps doing it in the background. Thanks for reporting it.

### 1.3.4 — 2026-06-25

Bug fixes: buildings that stubbornly refused to show up on the map now appear, and the subscription screen no longer pops up out of nowhere. If something's still off, blame the AI — I had nothing to do with it.

Buildings no longer vanish when you zoom out or go offline — your walk history is now stored on-device. Switching between cities is noticeably faster, plus a handful of stability fixes under the hood.
