## What is Walkie Talkie Apps?

Turn your iPhone into a powerful Walkie Talkie that works without internet, cellular service, or any accounts. Walkie Talkie connects nearby devices directly over WiFi and Bluetooth using mesh networking -- no servers required.

REAL-TIME WALKIE TALKIE
Talk instantly with automatic voice activity detection. No need to hold a button -- just speak and your voice is transmitted in real time. See who's talking with live speaker indicators. Mute your microphone from the lock screen or Control Center for quick privacy.

MESH NETWORKING
Every connected device extends the network. Messages hop from phone to phone, reaching people far beyond direct range. The mesh forms automatically -- just open the app and you're connected to everyone nearby.

RICH MESSAGING
Send more than just voice. Share text messages, audio recordings, photos, videos, files, and GIFs. Photos are automatically compressed for fast delivery. Videos include thumbnail previews. All received media saves to your photo library automatically.

LIVE BROADCAST CHANNELS
Create or join broadcast channels for group communication. Perfect for coordinating teams, running events, or keeping a group connected. Switch between channels instantly.

GROUP CHATS
Create private group conversations for focused discussions. Invite specific people and keep conversations organized, just like your favorite messaging apps.

PRIVATE AND SIMPLE
No accounts, no phone numbers, no email addresses. No data leaves your local network. Set a nickname, pick a profile photo, and start talking. Your conversations stay between you and the people around you.

WORKS EVERYWHERE
Perfect for outdoor adventures, camping trips, festivals, conferences, construction sites, warehouses, cruise ships, and anywhere cellular service is spotty or unavailable. Essential for emergency preparedness when networks go down.

BACKGROUND OPERATION
Keep the app running in the background while you use your phone normally. The mesh network stays connected and you'll receive notifications for incoming messages.
