## What is Walking Bass Trainer?

Stop retreating to the easy part of the fingerboard.

Walking Bass Trainer makes you find chord tones across the whole double bass — in time, in tune, and without falling back to the positions you already trust.

I built it because I had exactly that problem.

I play double bass, and I write software. I realized that when practicing walking lines I'd happily use the parts of the fingerboard I knew well, while the awkward positions stayed awkward.

So I built something to break the habit of retreating to familiar positions.

Walking Bass Trainer deals you a chord, keeps time, and listens through your microphone while you walk. Find a chord tone and it lights up. Play it sharp or flat and you see by exactly how many cents.

Then the next chord arrives.

A new puzzle every bar.

You're walking at 120 BPM.

Dm7 appears. G7 is already waiting underneath.

You find F. It lights up.

You reach for C higher up the neck. You're 17 cents sharp.

Next bar. G7. Keep walking.

It won't give you walking bass lines to memorize. That's deliberate.

This isn't a walking-bass course. It's for players who understand chords but want the connection between chord symbol, sound and fingerboard to become automatic.

Because on the stand, nobody waits while you work out where the 7th is.

Useful and fun practice tool, love the feature that tracks your tendency to play flat or sharp, good test of whether you know your chord tones or not, lots of variations to test and encourage your fingerboard knowledge at different tempos , def recommend
