Walkly is a map and walking‑navigation app designed for clear, safe, and battery‑friendly guidance in cities.
It focuses on simple, stable navigation, easy route saving, and a clean interface inspired by Apple Maps but optimized for walking.

Stable Map Navigation
Map stays north‑up by default (no spinning)
Blue location marker with consistent on‑screen size (does not grow/shrink when zooming)
10m red dotted “ahead line” in navigation showing exactly where to walk next
Smooth recentering only when you move far from the center (no jumpy camera)

• Start a live session and send a link — when the other person joins, you each see the other moving on the map in real time.
• No sign-up needed. Share runs until you stop it, with an automatic time limit for safety. Anyone with the link can see your location only while the session is active.

Smarter walking navigation
• Clearer turn-by-turn guidance — the highlighted path follows the real route ahead of you, so it's obvious which way to go, even at busy multi-way intersections.
• Automatic rerouting — take a wrong turn and Walkly quietly finds you a new route.
• More reliable arrival detection.

Faster and lighter
• Recent searches are reused instead of re-fetched, and location updates are tuned to stay responsive without draining your battery.

• Your settings now stick — map type, traffic, haptics and more are saved across the app.
• Use Walkly in English or Japanese, switchable right inside the app.
• Accessibility improvements — clearer VoiceOver labels on the map and navigation controls.

Navigation Stability
Removed automatic map rotation in navigation; map now stays north‑up.
Camera updates are heavily throttled and only recenter when you move far enough.
User gestures (pan/zoom) temporarily pause auto‑camera to avoid “fighting” the user.
10m Ahead Direction Line
New red dotted line ~10m ahead of your position in the direction you’re facing.
Updates as you move and turn, making it very clear where to go next.
Improved User Location Marker
Replaced default blue dot with a custom marker of fixed size.
Marker size no longer changes when zooming the map.
PDF & Photos Export
Reworked route export to a modern one‑page PDF.
Added “Photos” button to save the same layout as an image into the Photos app.
Fixed image orientation so saved pictures are no longer mirrored.
Performance & Battery
Reduced frequency of map and camera updates.
Tuned location thresholds to ignore tiny movements and orientation-only changes.
Removed unused transit code and development/backup files to keep the app lean.
Production Cleanup
Removed internal documentation and backup files from the bundle.
Verified Release build compiles cleanly with no linter errors in core modules.
This version is focused on making Walkly ready for production: stable navigation, clear guidance (thanks to the 10m red direction line), and polished export options for saving and sharing your routes.
