I’ve double-checked: I for was charged the money for the subscription. **Developer response:** Hello, Thanks for letting us know! This is usually a quick fix. Try these steps: Fully close and reopen the app Make sure you have a stable internet connection Tap "Restore Purchases" in the app settings Still locked? Thanks for subscribing – we're here to help! 💪 ### 2/5 — Annoying reminders during walk! *2026-07-26* I wanted to love it. The set up was easy and it quickly auto generated a walk based on my timeframe. But I did not want to look at my phone for the directions. So I turned the voice directions on. They were so constant. Like continue on. Continue on. Continue on. Continue southeast. Constantly!!! It messed with my flow and my music and was more annoying than helpful. Rather than saying turn left on maple - like Google Maps. It would just continue give north/south/east directions. And when you are not familiar with a place that doesn’t help! It was also a little confusing if it was actually starting my walk or not. No start button and no pause buttons. Seems like the interface could use some refining. The idea is amazing. The simple set up is great but the small details really made it difficult to use. **Developer response:** Hi Jessie, thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I am really glad setup felt easy and that the idea resonated with you. I’m sorry the experience didn’t live up to that first impression. You’re right about voice guidance: repeating “continue on” and relying on compass directions instead of clear turn-by-turn street cues can pull you out of your walk and interrupt your music. That’s not the phone-free experience I want for WalkMate. I’m also sorry the walk controls felt unclear, starting and pausing should feel obvious, and I’ll definitely use your feedback to refine that part of the interface. I’m taking this seriously and improving voice navigation and the walking controls so the app stays helpful without getting in the way. Thanks again for trying Walk Mate and for such thoughtful, constructive feedback. If you’re open to it, I’d love another chance once these updates land. ### 3/5 — Dev NEEDS to get out of the way *2026-03-27* So much potential. But we need text cue sheet or ability to export gpx to Footpath, Strava, etc. Cuz this app is sooo wedded to cute, you can’t see the suggested path for all the floating trophies. Too much of a PITA to make out the route as presented. And, adores heavy traffic routes withOUT sidewalks. The asking price is thus laughably optimistic. I'm sorry to see you go. ### 3/5 — Good start needs improvements *2025-01-12* Ui is clean and easy to understand :) it is easy to generate new routes but the only problem is they need to be circular, I would feel weird walking down a road then turning around in the middle of the street 😅 thanks **Developer response:** Thank you for your kind words about our UI! We actually designed the routes to be circular on purpose, as many runners and walkers prefer loops that bring them back to their starting point.
