### 5/5 — Torrey Pines

*2026-08-19, version 12.1.54*

Good hike today 6.5 miles
App used to be better with less clutter but overall really accurate.

### 5/5 — Why all the pestering?

*2026-08-16, version 12.1.54*

Yes I love this app. 5 stars. Use it every day. Even with the recent price increase it’s great. But WHY is it now asking me to rate it on the App Store so frequently? I can hardly tap in the app without the annoying “enjoying this app” thing coming up! Yes I love you, WalkMeter, but right now, no, I am not enjoying using you!!

### 1/5 — Can’t bring up cycling any more.

*2026-08-04, version 12.1.54*

All I get is walking. This happened through nothing I did.

### 2/5 — Clunky and draining

*2026-08-01, version 12.1.54*

I have used this app for years so I need my history. Very difficult to find and turn notices/announcements on and off. OK if keep those the same. Battery drain too high for longer hikes.

### 5/5 — Great app! Tip: more voices available via iPhone settings.

*2026-07-31, version 12.1.54*

Awesome app, love it! ❤️👍

I didn’t like the announcement voices and the developer informed me that the voices are provided by Apple. You can add additional voices via the iPhone Accessibility/Read & Speak/Voices. Once you download additional voices they will automatically be made available in the Walkmeter app.

Thank you developer for replying directly to me regarding the voices, and thank you for creating a fantastic app! 😁

### 5/5 — Peace

*2026-07-27, version 12.1.54*

On Track

### 4/5 — Great app, BUT those announcement voices, HELP!

*2026-07-26, version 12.1.54*

Awesome app, love it! ❤️👍

BUT most of those announcement voices are, to put it as politely as I can, not so good. 👎

Put yourself in our 👟👟. We need clear voices that we can easily understand while we are noisily huffing and puffing exercising. Out of all those voices I only found two, Samantha and Daniel, that are clear and easy to understand.

How about making some new human sounding voices that have a neutral Midwest USA accent that are clear and easy to understand.

Also, we should be able to test the voices just by clicking the voices without having to select the voice then go back to another menu to select another menu to then then click another button to hear the voice we selected. 💤

Now, after having complained about the announcement voices, I would like to thank you for creating a fantastic app! 😁

### 2/5 — A lot of data but brutal UI

*2026-07-22, version 12.1.54*

This gives you a boatload of info but the UI is horrendous. Give it a try and then accept the challenge of finding a map for one of the walks you took in 12 clicks or less. I’d put good money on betting you can’t.

### 5/5 — Walkmeter Review

*2026-07-21, version 12.1.54*

I love that Walkmeter records my walks in miles and the fact that I can look back into the history and check out the routes that I have taken. Very quick and easy to use.

### 4/5 — The app I use every hike

*2026-06-28, version 12.1.54*

Been using since 2013; 17,800 miles so far. Tested other apps but they lack the same level of data quality. My only “gripe” is that all new improvements are only for road bike users (not trail users), and no OpenStreetMap (or derivative)

### 12.1.50 — 2026-05-17

Siri & Shortcuts, reimagined

We've overhauled our Siri and Shortcuts integration. App Shortcuts now install automatically — no setup needed.

Control Walkmeter hands-free:
• "Hey Siri, ask Walkmeter to Start" (also: Lap, Stop, Discard, Reset, or Done)
• "Hey Siri, ask Walkmeter for Distance" (also: Time, Pace, Speed, Heart Rate, Power, Grade, and more)

Examples:
• "Hey Siri, ask Walkmeter to Start"
• "Hey Siri, ask Walkmeter for Average Speed"
• "Hey Siri, ask Walkmeter for Grade"
• "Hey Siri, ask Walkmeter to Stop"

Heads up: Any Shortcuts you created previously will need to be deleted and recreated. Wind and road noise can prevent Siri from hearing you, so commands work best when stopped or moving slowly.

### 12.1.49 — 2026-03-17

Added grade zones for running and walking, as well as bug fixes and other improvements.
