## What is WalkPic?

Keep the photos and the path you walked together.

Start a walk in WalkPic, then take pictures with the iPhone Camera. When you return, see your route and photos on a map. Play the walk to revisit it one photo at a time, or open a photo stop for walking directions.

Your own photo journal
Keep walks organized by day, add private notes and mark favorites. Find a walk by its name or place, filter by country, or choose Calendar in the filter menu. Your private journal stays on your iPhone until you choose to share or export it. Save and restore an encrypted archive through Files with your own passphrase.

Share what you choose
Review your route and photos before publishing. Hide part of a route, share a photo as a pin or leave it out. Choose Public, Followers or Specific friends, then pick the quality of the shared photos. Your originals stay in Apple Photos.

Find walks worth revisiting
Explore public walks by area, time or popularity. Follow people and see the walks they share in your feed. Bookmark a shared walk to return to it while its author allows access. Public and unlisted web links let friends view walks without the app. Sign in with Apple or an email code. New profiles can be found by friends; you can turn off Appear in Find people in Edit profile.

Remember your places
Check in at a place without starting a walk, or add a place to a walk and leave a rating or review. Places brings your visits together across walks. Choose a city or area, move the map to browse nearby places, and open the walks linked to each one. New signed-in visits default to Public, with a Private choice before saving. Saving a public visit shares the place, rating and review without publishing your recording. Existing private visits stay private.

Plan your next walk
Choose places you want to visit and put them in order, or import addresses from CSV or Excel .xlsx. Save the route, return to it later and follow it on the map while recording. Tap a stop to see its name and address. Open ordered directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps. See your progress and the next stop as you go.

Stay in control
Publishing a walk is your choice. Remove sharing, manage followers, block accounts or report content. You can delete a walk without deleting its original photos from Apple Photos. Account deletion is available under You. Recording and the private journal work without an account.

WalkPic is free to use. Walking route planning currently covers the Paris area. AI narration and messaging are available to a limited pilot group.

WalkPic uses location while recording, including in the background when you allow it. Continued location use can affect battery life. Photos access is needed to match pictures to walks. Limited access may leave some photos out, and photos stored in iCloud may need your approval to download.
