This is the kind of app that I’d buy for a one off price. I don’t hang / move pictures every day. Also, the tool tips and instructions get in the way and are hard to click off. But, once you’re off, it’s great and helps me visualise my own art on the walls, which is exactly what I’ve been looking for. ### 4/5 — Good, except…. *2024-05-13, version 5.4* Would be perfect if measurements could be precise, as is its unfortunately not very useful ### 2/5 — It works, but the UI is so painful and bad *2024-04-08, version 5.4* Why can’t it let you pick photos from favourites or albums than scrolling for ages to find the photo you want? Centimetres only, so I have to do math outside the app 2. Size changes are in 5cm increments, no granularity for precision 3. Can’t lock the size of a photo so you might accidentally resize it while dragging 4. No text input for sizes 5. Multi layout has no concept of grouping so you have to drag each picture manually This is a toy application at best and when you get serious about planning a layout it’s a big let down. I wanted to hang a 16”x20” frame but the only options are odd numbered increments, eg 15”, 17”, etc. ### 1/5 — Missing key features *2022-12-03, version 5.4* Can't select standard frame sizes, and when I resize a photo it snaps to odd increments, so I can't get an 8x10, I can only get 9x11 or 7x9, which really throws off the whole gallery wall concept. That renders the whole thing pretty much useless to me. But I have been charged for months and I can’t cancel it. It doesn’t show up on my apple account charges, or in my active subscriptions, yet every month I get an apple receipt saying I was charged. ### 1/5 — App allows download on incompatible devices *2022-04-02, version 5.4* I have an iPad mini 2 and this app allowed me to download, install, and get all the way through the workflow before bothering to mention that it wasn’t compatible with my device. A similar app prevented me from downloading and spared me the trouble. P.S. please add an alternative contact method such as email to your website, not everyone uses Zuckerberg products. I would have done that, instead my only option was to write this review. ### 4/5 — Great app but with one flaw *2021-10-18, version 5.4* It has helped me picture and scale two single canvas arts in the bedroom and dining room. However it is much harder with gallery walls since you cannot change the scale of a group of pictures together. You need to do it one by one and that’s almost impossible. ### 1/5 — Picture sizes *2021-09-27, version 5.4* The app becomes completely useless if a person cannot create an issue of the exact size of a picture/mirror. I see on other reviews that others have complained about this for over a year, but no change (and no warning is given to users). With this app, correct measurement is critical, not optional. There NO instructions or menu to help navigate. There are only two options, neither of which I wanted. But it's so worth it. Seeing paintings and posters in augmented reality is incredibly useful and way better than mockups or Photoshopping. There are some annoyances (the biggest of which is that increments go in 2inches instead of 1 inch, but it's close enough for 95% or visualizations). Imo, the price is more than fair given how it's for a niche need. But it works better than any other app by a mile for visualizing art on your wall or even getting a 2d sense of the scale of furniture or decorative objects. I use it constantly for wall art, mirrors, sometimes even to get a general visual scale of other objects I'm considering buying (like TVs, bookshelves, etc). Feature requests: (1) PLEASE let us change dimensions in increments of 1 inch instead of 2 inches. Yeah, rounding to the nearest 2 inch increment is usually "close enough" but it's frustrating. (2) Please let audio play in the background even while visualizing in AR. The app always stops my music or podcasts when I use the AR feature. Just let the music keep playing. Other apps that allow AR visualization don't have this problem, so I assume it's an option when developing the app. Thanks. It works so well at letting you see how wall art (like paintings, posters, mirrors) look in your actual room from all angles in real time AR. It deserves more than 5 stars for how useful and well done it is. Some suggestions I'd have for making this great app even better are--from most important to least important-- (a) let users adjust dimensions in increments of 1 inch instead of 2 inches (b) for the edges of images, instead of dragging the image edges over the depth of the image or making us choose a solid color edge, make one option "mirrored edges". This would be perfect for picture frames since it would give the depth the exact same color as the frame without altering the proportions of the front-facing image (c) let users choose between measuring in inches or centimeters in the app. Thanks! ### 5/5 — So helpful! *2022-05-18, version 5.4* This makes it so easy to plan my walls.
