I’ve been using Walmart ebooks for quite awhile now and have been quite happy with it, but for the last 3 days I haven’t been able to open the app. Every time I tap on the icon, it seems like it’s going to open, but then disappears. I’ve even deleted the app, then redownloaded it and it didn’t make a difference, still disappears. I have quite a few books I’ve bought through this app and Kobo and one in particular that I read every day. I sure hope you fix this issue so I can get back to reading my books.

After dealing with the frustration and aggravation of having to purchase audiobooks/e-bookson a separate app, just so I can access them through the Walmart app, I am so annoyed and not to mention upset about the time that I’ve lost having to deal with this ridiculous quagmire.

I love this app and I’ve used it for a long time and now in the past six months, I can play samples of books but it doesn’t give me the option to download them. It’s very very frustrating.

Having to log out and go to a separate website to purchase books to listen to in this app is very clunky and annoying. I wish I could just buy them in the app. The app works well for playback, though.

Update: developers why not provide a link “click to buy” or “click to view store” in the app that opens the browser to that book’s page?

You can search for books but you can’t buy in the app, only on the ereader or on Walmart’s website. Strange choice and frustrating user experience.

Do not buy this crap. This platform is broken. Every book that I have downloaded quits playing at some point and gives a “something went wrong” error message. Contacting customer support leads to them sending you the same trouble shooting steps available online. I was so dissatisfied that I cancelled with unused credits in my account. Frustration would be a good name for this app. I am using an iPhone XR to run the app (well, to try an run it). I am biting the bullet and going back to a reliable (but expensive) platform. At least I can listen to the whole book that way. Bottom line, the app is crap and customer support is designed to frustrate you till you give up. Well played Walmart.......

Please put a setting in the app so we don’t have to view smut. I don’t care if others look and read it, but I prefer not. Free country and all. Maybe if I get out of bed and find my laptop and the website there is a setting to fix it, but maybe not. It is easy enough for you to put a setting in the app. Thank you.

It was very difficult to sign in to redeem because it went through different apps. It kept wanting to sign in through Facebook and Google when they are for kids. Then there are adult books when we’re trying to get a kids book. I don’t even see a setting for kids only books or a Who is this book for? prompt that even Netflix allows. Wouldn’t recommend.

I honestly really like the Walmart ebooks through Kobo. I used to use audible but switched over because of the price difference. It seems they have pretty much all the audiobooks that I want. At least I haven’t run into not being able to find one I want. I occasionally have a problem where my audiobook will suddenly stop playing and I can’t get it to play again unless I remove the download and then re-download it. It’s a bit annoying, but hopefully they will fix it. Overall I would recommend this to audiobook lovers.

The material is thought provoking and very practical. Plenty of his personal examples and many applications. Jon does a GREAT job with reading his own books. Plus-because he’s the author reading the book- there is a great deal of additional information he adds that’s not in the book.

I have tried to cancel this subscription several times and it keeps charging me every month for over a year. I have canceled on the app and via email with different representatives, and neither worked. Do not download this app unless you want your credit card to be charged every month with no way to stop it!

I am no longer able to access all the audiobooks I purchased. Seriously?! I’m no longer a monthly subscriber so I’m cut off from what I’ve already paid for? This app is terrible! Hard to navigate. Hard to download books. So complicated, unaccessible, and now access to purchases has been blocked. Audible is more expensive but totally worth it!

The Walmart ebook app is extremely difficult to use.  Every month when I try to use my credit to purchase and load a book it takes about an hour because it is so complicated to use.  Not user friendly at all. With as much money as Walmart has I would think they have the resources to make an ebook app easy to use.

I am so frustrated using this app! I love audiobooks & I thought...  🤔 since I usually shop at Walmart,  that I would give the audiobook service a try. Big mistake! Not organized ,not easy 2 search  categories, the website is complicated and it does not sync with my cell phone. The 2 books I downloaded do not show up. & of course I can’t get a Real person via customer service 😞😤🤯

I truly love my Kobo Libra H2O ereader and spend way too much on so many wonderful books in their vast selections, to say nothing of the extremely valuable public library feature which works great and provides really swift access to loads of great material for free with choices constantly increasing.
But trying to locate specific info on some relevant subject in the help section with its insane nonsensical search results is like falling down a deep dark and demented dream well: pages of totally irrelevant unrelated and ludicrously listed garbage with only a sense of random dumping fills an overwhelming flood of misdirected meaningless mind swipes.  But really, it’s a menace.  Hard to believe some folks actually got paid to produce this wreckage.

When I have another app like google maps open, the narration of the book continues, so I miss part of the book. This is not the case with audible books. I downloaded my purchase and yet the book is not fully downloaded. I’ve tried to download it several times and the app says already downloaded, but the book won’t play. While the monthly fee is great, these issues need to be worked out. They are quite annoying. I can’t even listen to my book anymore. It won’t play! I just repaired it and nothing!

I paid for a years worth of credits.  I didn’t read the small print.  If you cancel your account; you have 6 months to use your credits before they STEAL your remaining credits.  This is theft.  If I pay for a credit; it is mine.  I tried to live chat with someone because they have discontinued phone service and they were beyond unhelpful .  I hope this helps you.

I got my first free audio book just like on audible. A month has passed still waiting for my next credit to drop. This seems like an issue audible would fix quickly. I talked to somebody on line yesterday and still waiting for an answer. I have never had so many problems with an app in my life this is garbage don’t waste your time

I enjoy having access to books cheaply, but the screen often looks up while I am trying to read or gives me difficulties while I am trying to highlight or tries to define a word that I never asked for. Often times I have to close the app and reopen it just to get the functionality back. It’s extremely frustrating.

I have downloaded three books. First one worked great. Second one quit twice and then eventually, after playing with my phone for a while, it came back on. Then it stopped again. Had to do a Chat with Customer Service. Finally got it going after deleting the App and redownloading it. 
Thought, this was all a “me” issue so I downloaded the third book and I cannot get it to play at all. Really do not want to deal with their “help” again. Frustrating. Use a reputable audiobook source.

I love the price but the ease of use leaves a lot to be desired. I have trouble keeping books downloaded. I have had several issues being able to get new books with my available credits. The app would get 5 stars if purchasing new books were easier and faster to access through the app instead of being redirected to Walmart and then crashing before you could make your purchase. When I use the Kobo Rakuten app and link it to Walmart it never works anymore. I’m about done with this entire process and ready to use audible only. I hate spending money and not getting to listen to books I’ve purchased.

I downloaded this app figured it would be easy to do. But it’s not… You can’t log onto the app and just buy a book. Way too difficult to navigate, I’m gonna try another app.

Great crime thriller. I liked how it showed how sometimes women are looked at like the underdog&not as smart as the male police men think they are. But as a woman police officer she not only earns their respect but catches a very dangerous serial killer while doing it.... must read - book 1 in the series. 👍🏼

Easy to navigate. Free book selection is varied and contains many stand-alone novels from a variety of well known authors as well as new authors with titles from the country to the city and the boardroom to the bedroom, cowboys to billionaires. 
It is also easy to organize and categorize your own collection so books are easily accessible when you are ready to make a new selection. All in all, 👍

This app is easy to navigate and  is really straight forward!!!! I was a member of Audible for a long time. But, Walmart Audiobooks/E-Books is a much , much, much better value!!!!!  Absolutely so impressed with all of the Walmart platforms!!!!!!  You can still visit the stores, you can shop online, you can get your prescriptions filled at the pharmacy, you can get your dog or cats medications filled at Walmart Pet RX, and now you can enjoy e-books and audiobooks with Walmart Audiobooks/E-Books!!!!! Wow!!! LOVE, LOVE,LOVE Walmart!!!!!

I really enjoyed the audio version of this book! Hearing Ms. Elaine’s voice throughout the book has stuck with me through my journey thus far in life. I appreciate her transparency as a black woman in corporate America and how she strive to be great in everything she does. Her story empowers me to keep moving forward and pursue my dreams! This book is amazing! I’ve already bought two more hard copies for two wonderful ladies in my family!
