I haven’t had any complications with them, up until recent events. I pick up a prescription at my local Walmart every three months (because I need it or else I will have major withdrawals). I cannot login into the app no matter which device I use, whether it is my phone or my laptop. My authenticator works perfectly fine on other platforms I use but for whichever reason, it does not wish to work with the app. I’ve tried every method possible to gain access to my account just to be told “Something went wrong. Please try again later.” after I enter my 6-digit code. You guys act like I can try later because I do try later on and still that same error code. Based on the many reviews that I have seen as of late, it’s time to upgrade the system Walmart, chop chop! ### 1/5 — App doesn’t even access your account *2026-07-02* Without a doubt the worst app i have ever used. MFA is required to access your account and the moment you set it up your account is impossible to reach. Receiving code via text, call or email doesn’t matter as it will never accept the code you put in. Just constantly says to try again or that the code is wrong regardless if you enter or copy it. Completely pointless app and has made me switch pharmacy for prescriptions as Walmart is way too much hassle to deal with in every conceivable way. Simply unusable rubbish that doesn’t even deserve a 1 star ### 1/5 — Ugggh *2026-07-02* I used it for a few years. Now app is going in circles. Reinstalling doesnt un-confuse it. Im done with this app. Gotta choose my battles. Local walmart pharmacists are gold. Your app sucks chunks. ### 1/5 — Can not sign in *2026-06-29* I did sign in successfully several months ago. However, I have tried several times to sign in lately with no success. The problem is with the two-factor authentication. They have 2 separate emails which used to work but now only one person can log in with one phone number. This is not good for seniors who share one phone number. ### 1/5 — Still useless… *2026-06-22, version 29.3.8* I just downloaded the app even after looking at poor comments…and yep it’s bad. I know I don’t have an account, so when selected create account the thing too me to a screen to verify an email or phone number - just to tell me my email doesn’t exist - good job Einstein. The best part is it doesn’t let you create an account, total PoS. ### 1/5 — Login one time verification, happens every time I log into my account. *2026-06-20, version 29.3.8* I’ve been using the Walmart Pharmacy app for probably two or three years now, it was a good app, I’m not sure what has happened but the last few months every time I sign into my account I have to be sent either by text or email a one time verification code. A one time verification code to me should happen once, this happens every time I sign into the app. Why is this happening, was there an issue? The app is very convenient when you could just open it up select your prescriptions get a notification when they’re ready now. I have to sign in every time. Seems a little strange. ### 1/5 — Junk *2026-06-20, version 29.3.8* I’m actually considering switching pharmacies because of this app. It was fine up until this week when the decided to add a two factor authentication (after having to type out you email), it asks for your cell phone number to send you a text. It will not work! Enters the code and gets an error that something went wrong. Absolutely terrible. ### 1/5 — Too much security *2026-06-19, version 29.3.8* Used to work like a charm. Then they added the phone number verification. There is always an error. The chat suggestion was to delete and reinstall. I did that. Same result. The problem is with Walmart not my phone. I’m going to give it 24 hours to fix itself and the permanently delete it. I can sign into my regular walmart account fine, Cant sign into the pharmacy app to manage my prescriptions ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2026-08-22* This app has been down for months, can’t log in passed the 6 digit code….tried over 30 times now…FIX IT ALREADY!!!😡😤🤬😖 ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2026-08-07* Just fix it! It’s been quite some time since I have tried this app…. This time, I tried to login and this app is stuck on: Are You a Human? Then I press the required icon until a check mark appears…. Then it’s stuck there! All of your phone recordings tell you to download this app, etc, and all this wasted time for nothing! I still ended up phoning in my prescriptions…. ### 1/5 — Logs me out *2026-08-02* This app logs me out EVERY time I exit the app. There needs to be a fix because it is so inconvenient and inefficient. ### 1/5 — Too frustrating *2026-07-28* Keep trying to sign in, get to the point where I input the 6 digit code the text me and it say error try again. About ready to switch Pharmacies all together. 🤬🤬 ### 1/5 — Not a functioning app *2026-07-27* All the ads tell you to download the app to make your life easier but since the app doesn’t work it’s actually not worth your time. Every time you try to sign in it error codes or claims that the 2-factor verification code didn’t work even when you’ve typed it in exactly perfect. The app also sometimes does not show new prescriptions. Truly this app barely functions and Walmart needs to stop encouraging people to download this embarrassing and non-functional program ### 1/5 — Something went wrong message *2026-07-25* Every time I try to login on the app all I get is something went wrong message. Incorrect security code. It’s been like this for over two months. This app is a joke. ### 1/5 — Hasn’t worked for at least a month *2026-07-22* It was great when it worked, but for at least the last month it only gives a “sorry, something went wrong” message when inputing the security code. Ultimately had to call the pharmacy to renew my meds. Will give it another week and if it isn’t fixed I’ll be deleting the app and my account through the website. ### 1/5 — Very poor *2026-07-15* Always hard to access. Updates frequently break more than they fix. Need Face ID + user name + phone number + password to get into it. And none of it gets loaded automatically (except Face ID obviously). Should only need Face ID to open. ### 1/5 — Record linking doesn’t work *2026-07-09* Every time I try to add an existing prescription I have with my pharmacy it tells me it can’t be found despite it being within a short time frame of me getting it and still having refills on it. ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Not working in Canada *2026-07-02* I have used the app for more than 3 years, in the last 2 months, I have not been able to log into the app. I get a message “sorry, we are having a technical issue, please try again later. To access prescription services, I have to log into the Walmart.ca site and search prescriptions. Can this be fixed? ### 2/5 — Latest update *2026-08-03* After the latest update the app became painful to use. The login process does not remember any of the user’s info and these have to be entered manually. Then there is a two factor authentication that works inconsistently. Today I tried six times between getting a code by text or call and it still didn’t happen. Why not use biometrics instead?! Most phones have a face IF or finger print. If banking apps use it, why can’t you?! Kindly fix this. Thanks ### 2/5 — Login *2026-07-31* Finally got the app working but can you please get up to date and enable a biometric or more automated login. The app works fine but no apps make you type your full email every time just to login then get a code etc. ### 2/5 — Dated, Insecure *2026-04-21, version 29.3.8* Despite a recent update, the app is still behind the times when it comes to login security. Somehow this app manages to be the only one that doesn’t autofill the 2FA code when sent via text message. If you’re going to make me login every time I use the app, make it painless and seamless! ### 2/5 — stop. logging me. out. *2026-04-11* this app is horrible. as of late it doesn't even process orders properly. i end up having to call the pharmacy because it bugged. constantly logs me out if i'm not in the app for a while. i give it 2 consolation stars for whenever it decides to function. ### 2/5 — So many flaws *2026-03-16, version 3.1.8* Making an account will only go smoothly if your pharmacy has entered your personal info properly. I could not log in until I entered my postal code incorrectly. Secondly, the app crashes as soon as I try to “connect with pharmacy” ### 2/5 — Needs Work *2026-02-20, version 3.1.8* The app was working well until recently. Every time I sign in, I get a white screen that won’t leave. I have to delete the app and reinstall, then sign in again. This even has mixed results. Sometimes it works, but more often, I get the white screen again. Sadly, doing this repeatedly is usually better than trying to call. ### 2/5 — Useless *2024-10-09* I open the app, sign in and nothing but a white screen. I’m on recurring medications and yet no refill has been applied to my meds. I get a referral for medication and the pharmacy tells me no they don’t have it.
