## What is Wander Madeira?

Make more of your Madeira trip with Wander Madeira — a complete hiking guide, public transport finder, 3D mountain weather map and collaborative trip planner in one app. Discover levada walks, check peak conditions before you leave, find bus connections to trailheads and organise your days step by step.

Find a hike that suits your day
Explore Madeira hiking trails and levada walks with detailed descriptions, photos, difficulty ratings, insider tips and elevation profiles. Filter routes by difficulty, length and official trail status, or create your own custom hiking routes on the map.

3D mountain weather & webcam views
Check the interactive 3D forecast map with cloud ceiling simulation on peaks such as Pico do Areeiro, Pico Ruivo and Fanal before heading out. Compare summit temperatures, wind and hourly cloud layers, and browse available webcam views near trails and viewpoints.

Explore Madeira by bus
Getting around without a car is easier with the built-in bus planner. Search direct lines and transfers from Funchal and across the island, check timetables, school-day schedules, walking time from the bus stop to the trailhead, and previous line numbers that locals still use.

Trail ticket availability & alerts
For trails requiring entry reservations, check available dates and 30-minute time slots, subscribe to notifications for freed-up places and follow the link to the official external booking website. Availability can change before you complete a booking.

Trail maps, GPS & watch synchronisation
Follow your position on the trail map and track your elevation profile along the way. Export completed hikes to your health app and share GPX tracks with your watch or favourite fitness app in one tap.

Plan together in shared workspaces
Start with a ready-made itinerary or build your own day-by-day plan. Invite your travel partner or group to a shared workspace to edit plans together in real time, share Madeira Pro access and see live presence while planning.

Discover places, events & AI travel assistant
Find viewpoints, Fanal forest, natural pools, beaches, gardens and local cultural events around Madeira. Ask the AI travel assistant for tailored route suggestions, bus options and sightseeing ideas based on your interests and saved favourites.

Check trail updates before you go
Review available trail status information and subscribe to alerts for selected routes. Weather, conditions and access can change quickly in the mountains; always check official notices and local signs before setting out.

Start planning your next day on Madeira.

Premium trip plans, shared workspaces and selected features require Madeira Pro. Optional AI token packs are available as in-app purchases. Available plans, prices and usage limits are shown in the app before purchase.
