The home was immaculately clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Excellent location and overall a very family friendly home. Minor note- the jacuzzi only heated to 98 degrees and for a short period of time during the day, and the indoor thermostat could not be adjusted. The large gathering areas provided an opportunity to share happy memories and the serene bedrooms were comforting retreats. Perfect for our couple’s golf trip, Zion Mountain—with its four suites, each with its own ensuite bathroom — gave every couple the privacy and space to unwind when they needed. With views for miles, you can wake up to hot air balloons launching just below, sit one of the many patios with your morning coffee, or relax in the hot tub after a long day of golf. We didn’t go in the pool, but the beautiful infinity edge set against the mountains is hard to beat. The living room is cozy with its fireplace anchoring the space on cool desert nights. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need to cook after a long day on the course. Our four couples had three cars, each with their own garage space, a small detail that makes a big difference. The concierge was immediately available, whether it was heating the hot tub as we drove back from the course or helping troubleshoot the home theater system. The Wander app is packed with invaluable information and walks you through most of the questions you’ll have during your stay. Whether you’re playing pickleball or trying the short golf hole, you’ll never be bored. All in all, Zion Mountain delivered one of the most seamless, memorable, and downright fun golf trips we’ve had. It’s the kind of place you leave already talking about when you’ll come back. ### 5/5 — Luxury in Joshua Tree *2025-11-20, version 1.13.9* We have used VRBO for many years but it is frustrating to spend so much time trying to find a nice house and then it is always hit or miss what you actually get. We decided to join a vacation club called Inspirato. This was nice because you knew what you were getting but it came with restrictions with how often you could rent. We found Wander by chance. We rented a house in Palm Springs. There were some things that went wrong but Wander went above and beyond rectifying the situation even putting us up in a beautiful house out in Joshua Tree area. It was beautiful. We plan to use Wander for all of our future rentals. We highly recommend them. The app is useful and also easy to navigate. Whenever I had a question, someone from the Wander team got back to me promptly! Property was stunning but the home had numerous issues that unfortunately were unable to be resolved during our stay (broken hot tub, broken automatic blinds, dirty water and bug infestations) Concierge was helpful to an extent but seems the home needed some TLC which was unfortunate as the home itself was stunning! App was easy to use and concierge was quick to respond which made dealing with the issues a bit less frustrating. Bathrobes and towels were lovely which was a nice touch to our stay! ### 4/5 — Great home, but… *2025-11-16, version 1.13.9* The home is beautiful, clean, and just like the pics. The only complaint is that the whole time we were there we were killing flies. From the moment we arrived till we left. It was distracting from the beautiful atmosphere. I think it’s because the living room windows are not operable. The scenery around the home is amazing and probably just like many others they wanted to enjoy the outside air but the only way to do that is open doors. Or maybe whomever was there before we arrived left doors open and they got in. I don’t know. We didn’t though, we knew better. We were already killing flies. It was so annoying. Other than that, the area, the home, the scenery was amazing. Unfortunately, I do not think it was worth the money we paid. We went back in August. It’s not a place I’m rushing back to visit again. ### 5/5 — Unbelievable Experience at Stow Woods *2025-11-13, version 1.13.9* Wander At Stowe Woods blew me away. I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnbs, but this place is on a completely different level. The house was spotless, beautifully designed, and genuinely felt like a retreat tucked into the woods. Every detail was thoughtful and intentional — from the layout to the finishes to the way the space just makes you feel calm and taken care of. And the sauna… unreal. Hands down the best sauna experience I’ve ever had. Perfect heat, perfect humidity, that smooth steam rolling off the stones — it felt like a true Scandinavian spa. I was in heaven. Between the sauna, the views, the peaceful silence, and how clean and well-maintained everything was, it honestly felt like a luxury wellness getaway. The whole stay was effortless — check-in was smooth, the amenities were top-tier, and the vibe was just immaculate. It’s the kind of place you immediately want to rebook the moment you leave. I’d go back in a heartbeat. If you’re heading to Stowe and want something elevated, peaceful, and truly memorable, this is it. ### 4/5 — Almost a perfect five stars *2025-11-07, version 1.13.9* We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home with its incredible views of the mountains. It was a perfect setting for family and friends to gather. The layout was spacious and comfortable and the Wander team was super responsive. Future guests should understand the home’s layout as it wasn’t very clear from the listing. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms. The primary has an en suite bathroom but the other four bedrooms share two hallway bathrooms. There is a half bath on that level but there will be a line for showers if you fill the house. Downstairs there is a game room that includes a bunk bed that instead of sleeping two people sleeps four. (It’s like two queen size bed stacked.) So the home actually sleeps 14 not 12. There is a full bath off of the game room. This would be perfect for kids, but some adults would not like navigating the spiral staircase to get to that level. My main issue though was the ill equipped kitchen. The home was advertised to sleep 12 but there weren’t 12 glasses that matched — just an assortment of tumblers, water glasses and wine glasses, but not 12 of anything. Many common kitchen utensils were missing. Non stick coatings were worn on pots and pans. Mixing bowls and serving bowls were in short supply. Basic supplies like foil, plastic wrap, paper towers had to be replenished. Elsewhere in the home, once beautiful houseplants were dying because no one was watering them. Basic maintenance needs to be performed… there is a loose toilet seal downstairs, trim work is fall off of a doorframe. A bathroom door’s lock didn’t work. All of these issues were relatively minor but not what I expected from the property given the 5 star rates they charged after the peak fall leave season was past. These issues have been noted by prior guests and I’m puzzled why they haven’t been addressed. That said, we loved our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to book the home again. I would simply confirm with the Wander team that these issues were resolved before returning. (And they could be — for example, just making a Target run to restock the kitchen would be an easy fix.) I will say that I was very impressed by the Wander team and the level of detail in the house manual found on the Wander app. Both improved our experience significantly. ### 5/5 — Absolutely stunning, only from Wander *2025-11-06, version 1.13.9* Stayed in Malibu but all the homes look gorgeous! Concierge is always there for you, felt like a 5 star experience at surprisingly great value! I would book from Wander again and again. They are legit my favorite travel brand of all time. ### 4/5 — Hillsdale Lakeside *2025-11-03, version 1.13.9* Overall we had a good time, we love modern architecture and hope to be able to build our own home someday when we can afford it. We went to celebrate an anniversary, otherwise we probably would have spent so much on two night stay, we booked trough Airbnb which probably increased the price but we had never used wander before so we felt safer doing that. The experience with wander concierge through the wander app was very quick. We had a little issue with the lock box but they resolved it quickly. The home was beautiful and love the quiet peaceful location with view of pond and hills. We did go visit Hudson and that has a nice main street area. We picked up food at local grocery and cooked 2 meals there and the kitchen had everything we needed. Bedding and towels were very nice. The home was very homey and comfortable. Only complaints we would have is the wooden floors downstairs were very very creaky and in an open plan house this cause the issue specially of people waking up the sleeping people. So in future I would suggest upgrading the floors or fix squeaks and put blinds in master bath for people who like privacy when showering, remote control blinds would be a wonderful addition, for ease of use and blocking glare when the sun is bright. Fireplace was out of fuel to light but not a big deal. Only other issue we had was figuring out all the remotes for the tv downstairs, lol there was a bunch of remotes. Overall a positive trip and would consider using wander again if we could afford it (middle class family with kids in college) :( ### 5/5 — High-end Homes *2025-10-30, version 1.13.9* Wander helps me find a selection of impressive properties that work well for long weekends with friends. Properties that are large enough for both privacy, so each couple gets their own space but also for community, with common spaces and lichens large enough to support a crowd. It can be hard sorting and filtering through options with other apps but that is not a problem with Wander. After booking my trip, I struggled to find the link that showed the listing (it was not connected to the booking) - I could not easily share or show people where I was staying without sharing a link that required them to create an account. The policies around cancellations and different pay type options are not easily accessible upon checkout - this resulted in my misunderstanding, which they helped me fix but it took almost 2-weeks to get it sorted out with me checking in frequently to ensure things were still moving along. I recently asked how to contact the property owner (I wanted to see if they had suggestions on hiring a chef) and they asked what I wanted to ask and why. These little challenges add up and negatively impact the customer experience. When I book through a site like this I am not expecting to have to reach out to support constantly…in fact, I shouldn’t have to reach out at all. All that said - customer service seems okay, if not slow and a bit tedious. ### 1/5 — Save your money, not worth it!! *2025-08-19* This was a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we found the home in an unclean state—an open, half-eaten candy wrapper in the entryway, bathrooms with hair and grime on the floors, a hot tub with debris and used items left behind (a hat and wine glass), and even a “Happy Birthday” balloon still stuck to the ceiling. The Nespresso machine was dirty and stocked with only two pods, despite being listed as provided. The property itself was poorly maintained, with numerous dings and scratches throughout, and the wall above the fireplace visibly falling apart. It was clear this home was simply being turned over between guests with little attention to care or quality. For the price point of $1,350 per night, this is outrageously overpriced. The only redeeming qualities were the view and the concierge’s quick replies, but neither can make up for the lack of quality and basic cleanliness. I will never stay at a Wander property again and strongly caution others to look elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Terrible App & Customer Service *2025-04-29, version 1.13.4* They don’t care about their customers. They cancelled my reservation and said they couldn’t honor it without any reason. Asked the concierge if there are any other available dates in the same month and it takes them many business days to pull up a schedule so that we can figure something out. If I can give it a zero star then I would. ### 1/5 — Stay away *2025-03-10, version 1.13.4* I have a family of 6, so we use home rentals instead of hotels for every vacation we take. We have used them all multiple times a year, for a decade and never had an issue. The first time I use wander, the owner will not agree to honor my reservation because they decided to put their home on the market and wander’s response is “we will give you your money back”. No compensation. No apology until I had already wasted way too much time “chatting” because there is no corporate number. They are canceling my fully planned family vacation of 10 people flying from multiple, different locations, with less than 60 days before time for us to check in with zero concern. Just a refund. I guess I should he glad they are only making me reschedule 10 flights, scuba trips, and multiple other prepaid plans. At least they didn’t try to keep my money?! I would not risk working with this company. ### 1/5 — Extremely Deceptive and Unprofessional - Stay Away *2024-09-26* I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Wander. They market themselves as combining the amenities of a luxury hotel with the privacy of a vacation rental, but they completely failed to live up to that promise. I booked a home for a family trip through Wander, only to have them cancel my reservation 6 weeks before my vacation, claiming the homeowner "pulled the home from the platform." At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but just 2 weeks later I noticed that the same home was back on their platform—now at 3.5x the price I originally paid. This feels like a blatant bait-and-switch tactic and is both deceptive and unprofessional. Their only response was to offer a full refund, as if that were some sort of resolution. It's a legal obligation, not a solution. They also claimed that 6 weeks is "ample time" to find another property. As someone planning a trip for a large group, this was far from enough. By the time they notified me, other homes were already booked up, and I was left scrambling. The opportunity cost of having to rebook last-minute was significant, and the stress it caused was completely unnecessary. If you’re looking for a reliable and professional service, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Wander's lack of transparency and customer care is alarming, especially considering how much they charge. It has 7 properties only, globally. It’s not a lifesaver for anyone yet. It’s difficult to search - opens as a globe and you select your area only to see there are no locations. When you find one you can’t see the price until 3/4 through booking. Not only that you can’t delete your account or as a CA residence delete your data.
