### 2/5 — Flat fees, failed payments, worse rates

*2026-07-14, version 1.3.8*

I’m giving it two stars, and here’s why. The thing basically earns off you twice: a flat fee for the service, plus the spread on the exchange rate. Three things drag it down, one star each.

First, that fee is flat: 20 cents on every payment, whatever the amount. Buy a 5-cent piece of gum and you still pay 20 cents on top, four times what the gum cost. No percentage, no sliding scale. Tiny purchases get hit the hardest.

Second, payments fail every now and then. The app admits this itself in your account and even tells you to carry cash for those cases. It happened to me once, and I couldn’t pay a restaurant bill for over two hours because the payment just wouldn’t go through.

Third, the exchange rate is worse than at a regular currency exchange.

So add it up. I can’t always pay with it, the app itself tells me to keep cash as backup, and the rate is worse than a plain exchange office anyway. So what do I actually need this app for?

### 5/5 — Responsive, helpful

*2026-05-25, version 1.3.1*

Impressively prompt response from customer service with useful information when I had a question about a payment. Pix transfers using QR codes work seamlessly in Brazil.

### 5/5 — Indispensable travel app

*2026-05-14, version 1.2.6*

On the money for design, ease of use, rapid account set up. I’m traveling in Brazil currently and have used this to pay for everything from bottles of water at a street stall to full hotel stays. Received many positive comments from Brazilians pleasantly surprised that I can use Pix. Nearly everyone prefers this as a mode of exchange, and my cards and their chips are safely out of reach from scammers. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Really good for Bolivia

*2026-04-19, version 1.2.6*

I was using this app during my travels in Bolivia and literally every purchase I made was 20% cheaper. Saved a lot of money.
The deposit options are kinda limited, but still - super worth it

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-04-08, version 1.2.5*

I used this in Brazil - it’s brilliant since there are so many little apps or services that only take Pix, and as a foreigner it’s so frustrating. But this app works great. I had one issue paying a business quite a large sum (brl$500), but the balance was returned to me quite quickly.

### 5/5 — Stuck on the password hint screen but seems devs fixed :)

*2026-03-26, version 1.2.3*

This is an awesome way to use PIX in Brazil!

### 5/5 — Great Wallet for Argentina Use

*2026-03-18, version 1.2.3*

This is a great app with a lot of options to fund the account. Two things i wish we could do: 1. send zelles straight to the account. 2. be able to send to aliases from mercado pago.

Other than that, it works as intended.

Edit: Replying to your reply, if you add the ability to send to aliases, you’ll be the only
app currently that can do that and would totally capture more market share.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for the review. We’re working on enabling transfers to aliases, and hopefully we can launch that soon. We’re also always exploring additional funding options to make topping up even better.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2026-03-07, version 1.2.2*

Good app if you are traveling to Brazil

### 5/5 — Best payment app

*2026-02-26, version 1.2.1*

I’ve used the app in both Brazil and Bolivia and it’s worked great in both places. It’s still worth having cash as some vendors or situations require it, but this app reduces how much you need to take out and helps you pay using the local QR payment systems which save you money on fees. I topped up using USDC (crypto) which then gave me a balance in three local currencies ready to spend. There are ways to top up using Revolut and Bank transfer if you don’t have crypto as well. This has saved me a couple of times when my card didn’t work too, QR payments seem to be more reliable in Brazil and Bolivia.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot deposit money into the account

*2026-08-20, version 1.4.1*

Tried to deposit money on several occasions. I was told that their licensing partner Noah was rejecting deposits that should have been accepted. I was instructed to reverify with their new partner Bridge. Everything will work… except my deposits are still being denied and returned. This company needs to figure out what it is doing. Great concept, poor execution

### 1/5 — Great idea, absolutely useless for NY citizens in practice

*2026-07-21, version 1.3.9*

Sounded great as travelling to Brazil soon. Downloaded app, identify verification failed the first time around, after sending passport info it finally worked, however the only way to “top up” accounts is CashApp lighting (not permitted in NY State, so useless), adding a US bank account which failed to verify even though my credentials were accepted, and Bitcoin lightning or Polygon blockchain. So for US NY citizens the app is pointless. Back to BRL I go!

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t approve me for no reason

*2026-07-16, version 1.3.8*

I just tried signing up for Wanderwallet and went through all the checks of identity, etc. Without reason, the Noah secondary portion of the app approval refused to approve me to utilize bank transfer and asked for Coinbase or Bitcoin. No. Every other financial institution seems to think I’m trustworthy, so I’ll continue using those. Stupid.

### 1/5 — NO UK

*2026-07-07, version 1.3.7*

App is pointless. No UK support, the other person was right, I tried every method, the only one that was possible was crypto and Im not doing that. USELESS

### 1/5 — Money lost

*2026-07-01, version 1.3.5*

I sent $1,000 wire, money has been lost with no response for days

### 1/5 — Not available to people who reside in UK

*2026-06-26, version 1.3.5*

Why don’t you make it clear that the app and your process for authentication makes this app unusable to people who reside in the UK? Either fix the issue or be upfront

### 1/5 — Internal error

*2026-05-12, version 1.2.6*

I keep getting an internal error every time i try to link my bank to deposit money.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-04-22, version 1.2.6*

After wasting a lot of time trying to set up it turns out not to work for people from my country… why not make that clear at the start…

### 1/5 — Unable to use

*2026-04-14, version 1.2.5*

Never made it through the verification step. Their ID checking AI doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Downloaded

*2026-02-23, version 1.2.1*

Immediately upon being verified service was “temporarily unavailable.”

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best International wallet

*2026-08-17, version 1.4.1*

Good job team

### 5/5 — Simply the Best…

*2026-08-15, version 1.4.1*

I never seen anything like it, it’s very easy to use no fuzz. It has a potential to do better than Revolut and Wise app if they are going to add more countries. Brazil for example it’s the worst country to transact payment and receive money here if you need to as a foreign person no. But WanderWallet figured it out so you won’t starve to death when you visit here. And it’s also effortless to send back your funds back to your account when you don’t need it with USDC polygon. Don’t leave without this app..

### 5/5 — Best App for Nomads

*2026-08-13, version 1.4.1*

This app is such game changer for travelers in South America. Being able to utilize superior exchange rates and QR payment systems is extremely helpful in terms of safety but also overall ease of travel.

### 5/5 — A must for Argentina to send transfers via alias

*2026-08-12, version 1.4.1*

Crazy good app for those that can’t open bank accounts in Argentina. Or even if you have a bank account and want to deposit pesos at awesome rate.

### 5/5 — Don’t leave home without it

*2026-08-05, version 1.3.12*

I use this every day in Brazil. The Cash App connection is chefs kiss

### 5/5 — The best app

*2026-08-01, version 1.3.12*

Highly recommend

### 5/5 — WanderWallet

*2026-07-26, version 1.3.10*

I just started using WanderWallet and I have nothing but positive interactions with this App. It’s user friendly and it makes my travel outside the US much easier where I don’t have to carry lots of cash with me where PIX is available as a form of payment especially in Brazil. New feature is coming sometime this year. Wait for the great news.

### 5/5 — Lifesaver in Argentina

*2026-07-12, version 1.3.7*

App is saving my life here! Super useful. Grest exchange rate too.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-07-06, version 1.3.6*

This app is awesome! Much better exchange rate than either credit card or taking out cash. And you don’t have to worry about making change for small purchases. We traveled all over Brazil and they accept it everywhere. The equivalent of PIXS which is what locals use.

### 5/5 — SO EASY

*2026-06-16, version 1.3.4*

Absolutely amazing app. Have had 0 trouble paying with pix in Brazil. LOVE that I can use cashapp to add money instead of my bank account. PHENOMENAL. So happy i found this.
