When the first one was purchased it originally had a 5 year warranty, they changed it to 1 year. The second newer camera, they were only Going to offer us a fractional refund even though it was still under warranty. They tried to get us to write a 5 star review for a new camera that we had to buy first before they would refund a portion of it. That was how they were going to give us the refund. Those older cameras use this old app, which is no longer updated and the new cloud Wansview app doesn’t recognize these old devices. The cameras or their software will work fine for a while and then just stops working. After hours working on them, following their directions carefully over and over again and nothing works, you just give up. But then what makes this company’s products really horrible is their lack of customer service. First of all, they will not help at all over the phone, no matter what. No, instead you contact them by email, wait a day or 2 for a response. The response is a form email that gives you the instructions you have tried several times that don’t work. You email them back that you have tried all that several times and the camera still does not work. They email back different instructions and they don’t work either. You beg for help over the phone but they say they can’t help over the phone. That’s it for Wansview customer support and you toss another one of their cameras into the garage. Yes there are positive reviews, but I believe they are from those who just bought the camera and within a few months they will be throwing them into the garage too. Any company who will not standby their products by providing telephone support deserves these bad reviews. It’s wonderful because when we are away we can see ,hear and also talk to our dog if we need . I have the app on my phone so whenever I need to see what’s going on , I just open up the app and I can view what’s going on at home ! I love it ! ### 5/5 — Prefer this app over the cloud version *2020-07-10, version 1.0.21* I have been a long time Wansview user and have cameras from the Q3 on up to the current cloud versions. I prefer the older Q3s and this app much much more than the new cloud version of Wansview. So many more controls in this version and allows the user to pretty much do anything with this app. One review complains they don’t get any notifications but next sentence complains they get too many?? One review complains this camera can’t record to the cloud. Well if you have the cameras capable of using this version, No, they are the older, pre-cloud cameras. The DO have cams that record to the cloud with a separate app. So rate the app here, not your cameras. Do that on Amazon or wherever you bought the camera. This is about the app only. I have never had any problems with this app at all. Once the cams are set up, this app is amazing and doesn’t limit my control to barebones config the way the new Cloud app does. If I could add my cloud cams to this app, I’d be so much happier with my set-up. My only complaint is having to switch between two apps because I refuse to let go of this version. It is my understanding that these older P2P cams can connect to Cloud app but the newer cams are not backward compatible with this app. It’s a pity really. ### 5/5 — Very Pleased. *2020-03-01, version 1.0.21* I’ve been using this app with 5 Wansview cameras around my RV, inside and out, for the past 2+ years where I’m very pleased with the results. Except for a few times when the app didn’t recognize my cameras, where I simply exited the app, then clicked it again, I haven’t had any issues with the app, knock on wood. ### 5/5 — Work 100% *2020-02-11, version 1.0.21* For those people who don’t know how it’s work you need to go to YouTube watch the video and then installed.
