A German invasion wipes out literally every single troop I have in a tile, even tho they have space to retreat. I know that irl the Soviets had many deaths early on, so it makes sense that germanys attacks are deadly early on, but now I’m in 1944 and my troops in tiles are getting completely wiped out. This is when I go to zoom out of the map it creates a big white boarder around the map instead of actually zooming, I’ve tried a few things to try and fix this issue but haven’t been able to sort it. Are there any suggestions to rectify the issue? (The game is very fun and enjoys still, I’ve been playing for years if you haven’t played it I highly recommend it🫶🏼) ### 5/5 — Wonderful war based game *2024-08-19, version 9.70* This is a very fun war based game in covering Europe and Northern Africa. A lot of people may want more intricate details out of their games, making them more like the conquest or civilization games, but this is exactly what I’ve been looking for out of these types of games. It’s very simple in comparison, but I personally find it very fun. I wish there were more games with the exact same play function/style but different maps, I’ve tried some of the other games from the same developer that cover the whole world, but they added too many things to complicate the game. I would love to see new maps with the same game function as this game. 10/10 or I suppose 5/5 stars haha. I’ve rage quit due to ai bum rushing me at points and i get happy when i absolutely shred garrison into bits. When i play this game in class, on a roadtrip, plane, doctors appointment, time goes by really fast and I like how long pace some games can be. However, the only thing that really bothers me is the UI. This game pleased me with its interesting storyline. ### 5/5 — Issues since new iOS update *2024-06-03, version 9.70* This game is fantastic, I’ve had it for 1 year now and I play daily (key tip of you don’t want adds play with data and WiFi off!) Recently since the new IOS update I’ve had issues with the map loading and zooming in and out. I’m not sure if anyone else has had this issue? Anyways it’s a must play. I have all of the games by this developer and I can’t recommend this game enough. ### 2/5 — Good game, poorly implemented *2024-06-01, version 9.70* The game is alright, it’s nice, simple and to the point. The issue is the developer has plastered adverts all over it. I appreciate it’s a free game and they have to make money somehow but they’re also doing way too much, an ad after every turn is crazy. I know you can buy the game and get rid of ads for £4 but I think that’s personally too high of a price, I bought balloons tower defence for £4 which has actual graphics made by a huge team of people. Rip off ### 1/5 — Alliances aren’t meaningful and war mechanics are broken *2022-02-15, version 9.30* The sequence of the turn is all players make their combat moves without knowing what other players are doing. Then combat happens but its sequential, not concurrent so sometimes you end up attacking allies. Example: You are Britain and you attack the territory of Germany. France also attacks Germany. The French battle is first and they win. Then your battle occurs and your troops attack the French occupying force costing both Britain and France troops. Instead the battle should have been the combined French British force for a more decisive victory. At the very least when Britain “attacks” there should be no battle. Either the two forces should coexist or the British forces should turn back. Different example: If there are two territories controlled by opposing forces when each side chooses to send an attack across the border the forces don’t clash in the middle, they pass each other and only attack whatever forces we left to defend. Dumb! Also apparently you cannot sail your warships into waters controlled by allies. So it is possible for your navy to be bottled up in a few sea zones because your ally controls the surrounding seas. EDIT IN REPLY TO DEVELOPER RESPONSE: Sorry but these flaws aren’t features that prevent the game from being complicated, they are fatal flaws. Allies should never unintentionally attack each other and allies should not box in each others navies. These are fatal flaws in your game. ### 1/5 — Not fun *2021-10-23, version 9.25* The game cheated that all I am going to say ### 1/5 — Negative changes, aggressive monetization *2020-08-26* I’ve been playing this game for months, and I payed to have full access to its features. Now the game that I’ve been playing for almost a year has locked one of its primary game modes behind a ridiculous pay wall requiring me to either spend all my time playing the game modes don’t enjoy or to spend ten dollars. I understand the need for monetization but to lock features I had previously paid money for behind what is essentially another paywall is absurd. I shouldn’t have to pay ten dollars for a single game mode and I shouldn’t have to farm the challenge games either. Ten dollars is more than I originally spent on the game in the first place. If you’re going to lock free for all behind a pay wall then at least lower the price and make it a one time purchase for all of the FFA games, not just one. **Developer response:** Hi Chris000772, Thanks for you review. You still have all you had before, you can now create any mix of games via the new Custom game. But I will make the first FFA unlocked to all full game purchasers in the next update. Also if you have played all the short scenarios then that should give you enough points to open up the first FFA. You can also get free 100 credits each day to help you make up any difference. This upgrade is huge and offers more for everyone. Only paid players have access to Custom games and the additional '1941 Barbarossa' war game which introduces the US forces. The new FFA games (offered to everyone) gives you something to work through and adds variety to game play. Once you unlock a FFA it should stay unlocked unless you uninstall the game. I still need to fine tune the Custom game so be patient, so more to come. PS please email me bugs as I can respond quicker. I just love this game so much. I’ve spent money and I’ve spent countless hours on this game. I hope you can bring some new. Something like Vlad, the Impala defending from Islam or any ancient Greek was. It’s a little torky, but I have probably spent about 100 hours in the WW1 mode over the years. I really really hope that he makes a game exactly like this except the maps are way bigger.
