Tilting your hand held device at any angle allows you to see in, around and behind objects. Then there's three tables (all based on blockbuster movies with the actual voices of the actors). Finally the superb crystal clear graphics and rich sound. Leaves all other pinball apps behind in its wake. ### 5/5 — War Pinball *2013-05-17* I thought that Wild West Pinball was good because it is one of the smoothest pinball emulators I have played on a mobile device (I have Wild West Pinball on my iPod touch too). These three war themed pinball tables have better featured play fields with toys galore! They are more mainstream in their layout and functionality while Wild West is a good staring place for those interested in getting into pinball as the playfield is uncluttered and therefore easy to grasp the playfield objectives. The sound effects on War Pinball are brilliant and really help create an involving atmosphere during play. I have played pinball emulators for years and have some pretty darn good examples on PC and consoles. I'd have to say though that the creators have done a really good job of making the iPad perfect for this genre. Nothing interesting to shoot at with the left flipper. The action is in a mini secondary field at the top of the screen. Why make the play in an area the size of an iPhone on an iPad ? These movies probably weren't the best source material; there's just a total lack of any character. The physics may all be spot on, but the table designs are boring and just unengaging... Expected much better and there are better pinball games out there. ### 2/5 — Quite dissapointed *2011-04-14* I've purchased this application on an iPad 2 and the graphics are tremendous, I must however state the fact this pinball game keeps sticking its disappointing. I usually play 'Missing in Action' just by choice and whilst the gameplay is good the ball keeps getting stuck in between the gun turret contraption and a wall. Leaving me having to restart over everytime, this has happened on more than several occasions so the ability to nudge the table would be a welcomed addition perhaps in the form of shaking the device? This is one of those games that uses "marketing badges" and there is no way to turn them off!!! Seriously, I do not care about other products nor do I want my home screen to be polluted with the red pox of irrelevant information. It's fine to promote stuff in app (unobtrusively of course) but badges are really meant to inform users about info that is relevant to their goals. I paid for this app... It's not free...
