Please fix this. I can still use it on my iPhone at least. I'll need to print out the cards again. ### 2/5 — Since recent update *2020-03-02, version 2.60.12* The most recent rules update (convergence) cause my app to crash. I have had to reinstall it twice. I cannot download the rules pdf nor am I able to upload/download my lists. Update: since my last review (4 weeks) I've had to reinstall war room 4 times due "irrevocable database" issues. I am quite frankly getting sick of it. ### 3/5 — Love the app but sadly it keeps crashing *2020-02-20, version 2.60.11* This has been a great app, but now it won’t work on my phone. Some buttons like the back arrows are hard to tap. This app is not useable unless you pay into it. ### 3/5 — Love the app *2019-10-21, version 2.50.0* Needs fixed on iPhone 11 ### 3/5 — Please fix UI issues on iPhone Max *2019-10-09, version 2.50.0* This app has fantastic and frankly irreplaceable functionality but as a paying customer I demand the up to keep up with technology! :) Current list of issues (and I am not even using the app more than a few minutes): 1) In iPhone 11 pro max corner buttons are half hidden by the curved display. If you set the button size to minimum you actually can’t press these buttons at all 2) In iPhone 11 pro max swipe up bar interferes with the ui. For instance when a war caster card is opened the swipe up button covers the digits for the war jacks size - a very important characteristic for the warcaster ### 3/5 — Store will not open for me *2019-02-02, version 2.30.1* I have enjoyed the app a great deal but recently when I went to purchase a new deck, the store will not open. It just keeps attempting to reconnect. I have an iPhone 6d with the preset updates and I have also deleted and uploaded the app two times to no avail. Help! ### 4/5 — Nearly unusable *2018-10-03, version 2.30.0* App is nearly unusable on the iPhone XS max. Buttons are cut off in the corners of the screen in portrait and landscape mode. The text is also very small and hard to read on the new phone. The app is still amazing and I love it, it just needs some resolution changes to accommodate the new phones. ### 1/5 — In purchase only. *2018-01-11, version 2.20.3* I’ve been playing WM for a while and I lost my cards, so I figured I download this app so that I can find the cards of my warjacks and casters so I can write them down on paper, (only option I really have) so I download the app and come to find out you have to purchase factions or specific cards just to have the info..... very disappointed in this app. Not what I bought it was. ### 2/5 — Company of Iron Issue *2017-10-27, version 2.20.0* Purchased access and now I cannot load company of iron resources. Would be deserving of a higher rating once that is fixed. ### 1/5 — I'm super unimpressed with this program. *2017-03-11, version 2.09.2* It's currently the only way to get updated stats of every faction, and at $80+ dollars for that, its price is ridiculous. On top of that, it murders your battery even after reducing it to 15 fps. Also, it's super buggy. I've yet to play an online game that wasn't showing me wrong unit information 5 minutes into the game. Did I mention it's a memory hog? Switching to almost any other app on my phone causes War Room to restart upon returning. ### 1/5 — I thought the original was bad... *2017-03-08, version 2.09.2* Clearly no one who worked on this knows a thing about usability. This app is a shining example of what happens when you don't test your app prior to handing it over to the masses. Menus have no header navigation or labeling, everything looks the same, and the same icons are used repeatedly but provide different functions. Pro tip- if you need massive walls of text to explain your app, you should probably rethink your design. Stick with the cards. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t make purchases *2022-07-11, version 2.61.10* On my iPhone XS IOS 15.5, won’t let me connect to the store to buy anything. So app is kinda pointless. ### 1/5 — Cards purchasd from Warroom *2020-07-18, version 2.60.13* I spent a significant amount of money on digital cards for Warroom. There is no reason the cards shouldnt have transferred. Since this app appears to be dead, Im really disappointed in Privateer Press here. I cant even access the cards on the original Warroom app. Very unprofessional behavior. ### 1/5 — Worse than fan tools *2020-04-24, version 2.60.13* This app is just lousy. Unit cards and info are free on the Privateer Press website, why do I have to buy them in this app? I also can’t select my army theme which is a real pain. The app also doesn’t appear to have been updated since 2017. Do yourself a favor and skip this. ### 1/5 — Ui broken in new update *2020-02-09, version 2.60.0* Latest update is very bad for UI. Font sizes way too big and buttons are cutoff Please revert or fix. ### 1/5 — If the rules are free, why do I have to pay for them? *2019-11-09, version 2.50.0* The rules for fractions are free, however in this app it costs $10 ### 1/5 — Stupid useless app *2019-08-28, version 2.50.0* I assumed this app was for players who need a quick reference to cards or rules for Warmachine. You have to PAY for almost everything, I thought at least my bottle box cards would be available, but nope. What’s confusing is you can go online and download all the PDF cards, so why charge for this one? ### 1/5 — Infernals *2019-06-20, version 2.40.0* Updates app went to go purchase infernals but says it’s already purchased. Go to look at the cards and they are locked says to buy. Go back to the store and still says purchased already. Never made the purchase. Would would think with all the money grabbing you do, you would be able to get this right the first time. Send bug complaint to the email. Now I wait lol ### 1/5 — This COULD have been a nice utility... *2019-06-17, version 2.30.1* Companion apps for board/war games have been a slowly growing trend over the last couple years and, in theory, they’re a truly essential thing to have. Forget memorizing stats and throw out notebooks filled with army lists, rules, and other scribbles - it’s all digital now and easily accessed and viewed, getting you into the fun faster and easier... Well, that’s what this app COULD have been. However, Privateer Press - like Games Workshop - has decided to take the nickel and dime path. Sure, the app is free as is the stat cards for starter box models, but if you want to have access to the stat cards for anything else you better be willing to cough up $9 a faction. Which means having the cards for all factions of Warmachine will cost you $45...and another $45 if you’re into Hordes as well. It’d be nice if actually purchasing a model box gave you a code to “unlock” that unit in the app but no, PP wants that extra money on top of the money spent to actually buy their physical products. ### 1/5 — Epic fail. *2018-07-25, version 2.30.0* Existing account: Login failed. Since I copy and paste, impossible unless the developer invalidated existing logins. Reset password...sent successfully. Login failed. Until they find a way to transfer existing account info...not to mention all the $ previously spent, this app is unusable. 0 stars but the lowest is 1. ### 1/5 — Screwed over original users *2018-06-09, version 2.20.8* No, I’m not buying the whole set again. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best wargaming app *2019-07-27, version 2.50.0* Wile there is always room for improvement, this is by far the best wargaming app in existence. PP build an excellent tool that makes building list and playing the game a much more easy and fun experience. The old version served me just fine. War Room II is everything I liked about the War Room I knew and loved, but with MORE! :D I seriously don't even know what people have to complain about any more. Everything desired of WR1, including every feature of iBodger, is now baked into WR2. I look forward to all the auto-updates and erratas with 0-effort. :3 ### 5/5 — Great app for Warmachine / Hordes *2016-06-21, version 2.02* Tinker house games has done a great job on this updated app for release of the new mark 3 Warmachine / Hordes release. I was a regular user for the original war room that got off to a rocky start. This one is much better with its expensive UI and new features, like the collection manager and the new online play.
