### 4/5 — Soooo Close to 5 Stars!

*2026-01-02, version 1.0*

I played endless hours of the first Warbits, like every level, puzzle, and challenge with a 100/100/100. This game is an amazing successor except it feels a little unbalanced now. The bombers are way too powerful and take way less damage from the AA “Gunner” mech than they should. If the computer gets a bomber, you’re essentially screwed because its move range is way more than the Antiair missiles range and trying to back the missiles up with mechs that only do 4 damage is absurd. Then the bomber, with only 6 health still one shots your damn mech! There are some extra powers now that also feel unbalanced and the computer uses them liberally, such as “One Punch” and “Fearless.” They are probably meant to give the player more strategic choices but it just seems like too many now and hamper the experience for me because those are so powerful for only 5 points it’s rarely worth using the higher ones.

### 4/5 — So close to perfection!

*2025-09-30*

As a long-time Warbits fan, I was so happy to see a sequel come out! The previous game was a classic, but due to it being outdated, the resign button doesn’t work, along with other minor issues, so a remake of some kind was much needed. Seeing a level creation option in the new game is a dream come true by the way, I’ve had so much fun with it already! However, there is one big that could use improvement. (Really quickly, why are jets and ballistas so cheap? Whatever.) The ONLY reason why I’m not giving this an easy five stars is this: the opponent selection is way too limited. You can’t add CPUs (understandable, with custom maps). The real issue is with 4 player battles. You can’t make 3v1s or 3 player FFAs, and can’t even swap which two teams are paired up (I want red and green to pair up again)!
Devs, if you’re reading this, literally ignore everything except restoring 4 player battles to their former glory, and I would be more than willing to rate 5 stars :)

### 4/5 — Great fun just like the original

*2025-02-27*

It was great to play this with a new campaign. There wasn’t much new imagination added to the gameplay or story line. The gameplay was basically the same. The jets being so weak now was a disappointment and the cash out boost was removed, also. The campaign seemed really short. I hope they add an expansion campaign and hire someone to come up with a better storyline. Overall, I like it and would recommend the game.

### 5/5 — Turn Based Glory

*2024-10-02, version 1.0*

If you enjoy any type of turn based strategy games like Advance Wars, this is a must. WAY better and more challenging than the original. Worth every penny.

### 5/5 — Please Add Sign-In Option!

*2024-09-26, version 1.0*

Please Add a Sign-In Option for Risky ID so we don’t have to write down and remember another password! (Eg. Apple, Google, Facebook etc.)

### 5/5 — The best turn-based strategy on iOS

*2024-09-07*

Excellent strategy and unit balance makes this a game I keep coming back to over and over again.

### 5/5 — Warbits Plus is a fantastic multiplayer game

*2024-08-28*

It’s easy to learn, and harder than chess to master. Every game is different, because it’s your mind against your opponent’s and everyone has different strategies.

There are some terrific players that are regulars. I’m always happy when I get matched against someone tough. Tip: If you lose, pay attention to the strategy that was used against you!

There is also a single player campaign but I can’t comment on that as I don’t play it.

Be sure to join the Discord. Theres a link to it within the game. There you will find other players, and you can even chat with the developers Joe and Reilly. They are constantly improving Warbits.

For about the price of a sandwich, this game provides hours and hours of enjoyment. There are no ads, no recurring costs, and no attempts to sell you upgrades. I can’t think of anything else I have spent so little on and been so happy with. I appreciate the devs for making this.

If you enjoy strategy this game is a must play.

### 5/5 — Oh yeah!

*2024-08-27*

Great to see this awesome game return. Can’t wait to score a perfect platinum on every level

### 5/5 — Loved the original. Love this.

*2024-08-20*

It’s a great game that can help kill the time when you are at the airport or dmv. But man, it’s so addicting it can take up a big chunk of your time if you are not disciplined.

It’s similar to advance wars with the same infantry, artillery, tanks, and air units. Quirky story but amazing level layout. It makes you think and solve, and rates you on your performance. Gold is good but blue is best. Aim for all blue and you have a game that last you a very good long while. Totally worth the $5.

### 5/5 — Awesome, but something’s missing

*2024-08-17*

I just recently got this game and it is SUPER fun, although there is something that I feel is missing. I have played Advance Wars, and this is essentially a mobile version of that, but thing thing that Advance Wars has that this doesn’t is: naval units.

I feel like naval units could be really fun in this game, with maybe an amphibious mech unit, a battleship like the one from original Advance Wars (where it can move then attack), maybe a submarine, or anything else that you could come up with. But as long as there are some king of truthful naval unit (not the probe) , I will be happy.

### 5/5 — Favourite game

*2024-08-11, version 1.0*

Amazing game, the developers have surpassed advance wars

### 5/5 — The game we’ve been waiting for is back

*2024-07-27*

And it rocks! Thank you so much to this small but mighty development team. My whole friend group bonds over this game.

### 5/5 — Awesome game

*2024-07-22, version 1.0*

But I can’t clear puzzle #12. Is it even possible?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — buggy

*2025-10-11*

### 1/5 — Sound problem

*2025-09-24*

It’s impossible to silent the game while connected to a Bluetooth speaker. Several times I have the sound turned off. And then I go into the game and all the sounds are still there. I have done this multiple times with various methods the problem is still there. Please fix asap.

### 1/5 — Update: love it but Nothing new! You coulda added new units, etc. 😣

*2024-06-30*

UPDATED: Tikibob48 said it too…[And Developers refuse to answer]…WHY have you removed the use of Special powers during the Skirmish & Puzzle missions?

*** One frustration…why take away the use of the HQ bonuses in the Challenge missions? We get the points awarded, but they do us no good because we can’t spend them like we can in the main missions. (And this was something we could do in the old Warbits.)

For those of us who bought the original, the loyal customers who were your first purchasers, there should’ve been a free upgrade or a discount on this one, because there is nothing new here at all. I enjoy it, but it’s the same ol, same ol. Your excuse of “we can’t access the old game engine we built the first game on” isn’t the fault of your loyal customers, so what’s the purpose of re-issuing the same exact game? You rebuilt it, so you easily could’ve added new units (how about a water unit or an underground unit), and new Special powers (how about one to take away ‘fog of war’ for one turn).

Also, this game takes far too much power! Even plugged in, my iPad Pro cannot keep up with this game draining it!

### 1/5 — Controls are broken

*2024-05-30*

Big fan of the their first game. I like the changes in units and mech balancing. The do over mechanic is nice. But the ui is a step backwards, example: I can't always switch to a unit's targeting. Frustrated boomer button presses! Overall original game's ui felt more polished, which is a bit concerning as this is a premium mobile game price, and should at the very least work as well as it's predecessor. Is there a manager to speak to?

### 2/5 — This is not a sequel

*2025-06-24, version 1.0*

This is virtually the same game with one new building and no new mechs? I’m confused. Additionally, it hasn’t been updated since launch with new single player levels or campaign. Sad to see the programmers give up on the game. 2/5 stars

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2025-11-18*

first, let me start off by saying I had the classic Warbits and I loved it and I was very sad when issues with game Center led to me being unable to play with my friends. I haven’t explored thoroughly in head-to-head games, but I was playing 1v1 against the computer in a local game and a number of absolutely ridiculous. first, why did you change all of the power ups and the prices of all the vehicles?? that’s not ridiculous, but it used to be perfect. I emptied my carrier, but it still had the little smiley face pop-up on it indicating it had troops inside. all of my troops were wiped out near my enemies headquarters while fog of war was on and I was not immediately unable to see their troops, I could still see them until the end of my turn. The most ridiculous things that happened were the computer brought his carrier to my shore and dropped a troop on top of mine. I thought that was pretty silly, but then later, it did the same thing and dropped one of its troops on a city that I owned it was my city, and I had my guy on that city and then enemy carrier flew over dropped their infantry troop on my city that I was currently occupying and began capturing it… ridiculous stuff

### 3/5 — vu et revu

*2025-02-01*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfection

*2026-01-05, version 1.0*

iPad version of advanced wars, funny and challenging at some of the levels. A great pick up.

### 5/5 — Incredible update to the most addictive game

*2025-11-14, version 1.0*

I’ve played Warbits so much since it was released and this brand-new version does not disappoint. Graphics and gameplay are improved and it seems like the bots really do learn from AI. I managed to beat the final level once but so far I get thrashed every time I try again. I’ve spent a lot of time creating really hard to beat terrains with the map building part of the game and then keep playing each one trying to make it more and more challenging by editing out the easy bits!

### 5/5 — Very honest and high quality game

*2025-10-30, version 1.0*

Finally!!! Just an amazing interesting game without casual / gambling / dark pattern stuff. The old-school we miss. Not overloaded with details, just perfect one

### 5/5 — Definitely worth $5

*2025-09-16*

Warbits is one of the best turn based tactics games on mobile. For just $5, it delivers a complete package with fun, strategic gameplay, colorful art, and a sense of humor that keeps things light. It’s polished, responsive, and feels like a proper Advance Wars successor built for touchscreens.

At this price point, it’s absolutely worth it. The only thing I’d suggest for the developers is to consider adding cosmetic options like skins for units or map themes as optional microtransactions. That way, they could keep supporting the game while still giving players the value of a full experience up front.

### 5/5 — Just awesomely cool I love it

*2025-03-17, version 1.0*

This is the best game ever

### 5/5 — Great fun

*2025-02-09, version 1.0*

Really enjoyed this. Solid strategy game

### 5/5 — Good but please german language

*2024-12-26*

PLEASE

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2024-11-19*

This is how it’s done. Great game, great graphics. High attention to detail, super fun. Absolutely worth having.
My only gripe at all is that your UI elements are too large and clogging up the battlefield. It’s slows things down a little having to pan around the UI all the time. I just with they were a little smaller since I’m playing on an iPhone. Excellent game. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — More Warbits... Yes Please!

*2024-11-18, version 1.0*

If you loved the original Warbits then you’ll love this. Some nice tweaks to the units and powers but mostly just more of the same - which is a great thing. If you haven’t played Warbits or Warbits+ then what are you waiting for?!

### 5/5 — Advance war like de qualité

*2024-10-12*
