## What is Warblez?

Log sightings by voice. Never miss a bird.

Warblez is the birding app that keeps up with you. Instead of typing or tapping through menus, just speak what you see. Our AI understands birding context and turns your words into rich, detailed sighting records, so you can stay focused on the birds.

HOW IT WORKS

• Spot a bird; no need to fumble with your phone.
• Tap and speak; describe what you see in plain language.
• AI does the rest; species identified, location tagged, weather logged, entry complete.

Just say things like:
• "I just saw a red-tailed hawk circling above the meadow"
• "Three mallards on the pond, two males and a female"
• "Heard a wood thrush singing from the oak grove"

FEATURES

Voice-first logging: Speak your sighting naturally. No typing, no fuss. Traditional birding apps slow you down; Warblez keeps pace with the birds.

Never miss a moment: Log sightings in seconds, not minutes. Keep your eyes on the sky while we capture every detail.

AI-powered recognition: Our AI understands birding context and automatically fills in species, behaviors, and habitats from your spoken descriptions.

Rich sighting records: Every voice log becomes a detailed entry with location, weather, time, and your observations — all without lifting a finger.

Built for birders, designed for the field. Download Warblez and transform how you log your sightings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-03-17

New features:
- Ability to record multiple sightings in one voice recording
- Ability to process multiple recordings, speeding up significantly input time needed to enter sightings
- Multi-lingual support for voice recordings

Bug fixes:
- Issue with taking a photo to use as a cover photo on iOS

### 1.3 — 2026-03-10

Bird in the field, even without signal

• Offline voice notes – Record bird sightings by voice when you’re off the grid. Recordings are saved and processed when you’re back online, so you don’t lose any birds.
• Offline manual entries – If the app can’t reach the server, you can save an observation as a draft and submit it later when you have connection.
• Pending sightings – Session details show how many offline items are waiting. Open “Offline sightings” to review, play back voice notes, and submit or edit them.

Share your session

• Share session list – Share your session’s species list (with counts) via Messages, Mail, or any app from the session menu.
• Share a sighting – Quickly share a single sighting with friends.

Session cover photos

• Custom covers – Set a cover photo for any session from your camera or photo library. Session details show your chosen cover; you can change or remove it anytime.

Smarter counts

• Approximate counts – Mark counts as estimates (e.g. “~20” for a flock). Approximate counts are shown with a tilde and included correctly in eBird-style exports.

Better location search

• Place search – When picking a session location, search by place name with suggestions powered by Google Places so you can find and select spots quickly.

Edit existing sightings

• Full edit support – Change species, count, approximate flag, notes, heard-only, media, time, and who saw it. Edit any observation from the session’s observations list.

Other improvements

• Connectivity awareness – The app detects when you’re offline and guides you to save for later instead of failing.
• Session invites – Opening an invite link (e.g. from the splash screen) can take you straight into the app and handle the invite when you’re already signed in.

### 1.2 — 2026-03-06

New feature: Add other birders to your sessions including the ability to contribute to the same session from multiple devices.

Includes other bug fixes

### 1.1 — 2026-02-25

Improvements in how bird species are displayed (sorted), bug fixing and adding in-app surveys for user feedback.

### 1.0 — 2026-02-22

No release notes.
