### 4/5 — What I think so far

*2026-08-22, version 16.0.0*

I think it would be more enjoyable if there was other ways to earn spawning points or coins or whatever they are called.

### 3/5 — Limited

*2026-08-16, version 16.0.0*

A great concept, really cool art. I’m just really disappointed that your critters top out at level 5. There is no reason to spend money as you hit the end too fast and can’t even expand without spending money, even with the prices being quite reasonable. It’s a grind that has no way to keep players grinding. Still fun, I’m just sad the fun is effectively done.

### 3/5 — Awesome in theory, 3 stars for trying

*2026-08-16, version 16.0.0*

The concept that each person can have unique monsters by what they scan is super intriguing, but here’s the truth;
1)There is only enough monsters to battle based on current level so if you are just starting you can only play maybe 3-6 battles Total and then you are done til those battles reset.
2) once you have your 8 monsters which happens pretty quick , you are stuck with what you have because you MUST pay to
Expand your monster slots. The ability to earn monster slots faster by paying is fine but to not have any alternative is poor planning. Think pokemon go, you
Can pay for coins to
Increase monster storage
Or you can leave a monster in a gym each day and in 4 days you can expand. Ultimately you end up stacking a ton of monster generating cores on this game and the only way to use them is to
Delete one of your monsters or pay to expand
3) appearance modifiers,
Have the potential
To make cool monsters even cooler but also have the ability to make to take a fierce monster and give him a head on a tail that looks absolutely ridiculous. Making it somewhat dangerous to use them on your monster you like.
4) the battle sequences becomes pretty repetitive, pick the guys on your team against a opposing team, for each guy you pick just pick the one that has a green up arrow and you usually will
Do well .

All this being said it’s playable, it’s a solid
Idea, but ultimately I see someone coming in with a knock off of this game that incorporates the items I just said,
Rendering any money spent on this particular game, a waste.
This game seems to be a first to market as far as what I’ve played and they did a good job giving people a road map but seems there was too
Much thought on how to get paid back but missed the mark on hooking players for long term and getting g incremental purchases over time which I think will be the downfall.
As I said, it’s a good game I’m just giving my personal
Opinion

### 4/5 — Really fun idea with great potential!

*2026-08-15, version 16.0.0*

Needs some kind of tutorial to get the game moving along. Scanning the bar codes is really fun. The whole family got involved with that. I wish the time to gain the chaos summoning stuff wasn’t so long.

### 3/5 — Would be better if

*2026-08-13, version 16.0.0*

Dear Warcodes Support Team,I am writing to express my frustration regarding the current monster storage limitations in the game.Warcodes is built around scanning barcodes and collecting diverse monsters, yet the gameplay loop is severely halted by the incredibly low inventory cap. Allowing only a single 5-slot expansion using in-game tokens before forcing players into real-money paywalls feels overly restrictive. It significantly disrupts the enjoyment of collecting and experimenting with different teams.I strongly urge the development team to consider adding more free-to-play pathways to earn storage slots, such as unlocking inventory space through gameplay milestones, scanning specific rare barcode tiers, or allowing repeatable token purchases at increasing costs, or maybe ways to earn gems in game even.Thank you for your time and for considering this feedback. I hope to see adjustments made in a future update to make the game more accommodating for dedicated players.

### 3/5 — Wish list development

*2026-08-12, version 15.2.0*

I just wish we could use coins to upgrade monsters to anything beyond Uncommon rarity and also not having monsters insta-die if I idle outside of the app for a few minutes.
*Can’t complete trades without buying and spending gems, please fix. I have the correct amount of coins but it forces me to buy gems.

### 4/5 — Good start

*2026-08-09, version 15.2.0*

Fun concept. It doesn’t need too much more complexity. I was a little frustrated that I needed gems to have any more than 10 creatures. There should be a way to earn gems.
My main ask/suggestion would be to be able to blend/combine the creations.
Otherwise I have enjoyed it so far!

### 3/5 — Cool concept , but lacking .

*2026-08-07, version 15.2.0*

Really cool idea , but honestly gets super repetitive and loses its appeal pretty quickly. I’d like to see more gameplay options in the future .

### 4/5 — Has huge potential to take off.

*2026-08-06, version 15.2.0*

This game is very unique and interesting take on gacha. The fact you create monsters by scanning barcodes and every monster is uniquely created by AI makes it a very personal game. The only thing keeping it back is lack of content and a UI that looks like it’s from the early 2000s. Modernize the UI and keep adding content and things you can do with your monsters and or new unique creations you can make with UI and I can see this being the next big thing.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2026-08-06, version 15.2.0*

It needs some improvement like the fact a lot of stuff cost gems but there is now way to earn them so there’s no way to get around spending a lot of money to get a lot of the cooler stuff or better quality monsters

### 4/5 — Good time

*2026-08-05, version 15.2.0*

Great game ..fun.. monsters are excellent.. love the customization of the monsters… but space is a huge problem!!

### 3/5 — Some issues

*2026-08-04, version 15.2.0*

The only issue I seem to be having is it limits the collection with real money cost. I would like to be able to remove monsters from the rooster that I do not want or no longer need.

Removing items from monsters should not break them.

Merging would be a nice add on.

### 4/5 — Potential

*2026-08-02, version 15.2.0*

Like the concept of scanning and generating random monsters. But you’re capped at 10 monsters unless you pay. Yes you can delete ones you don’t want. But it’s mostly a pay to play game.

### 3/5 — Slow as Molasses

*2026-08-01, version 15.2.0*

The concept is novel, I liked it enough to get a starter pack, but maaaaan does this game drag! I have been spoiled with goodies from mail helping my progress along. I can’t grind as much as I want because after you beat the random PvP, you have to wait 1-3 hours for the damn slot to reset. Further more, trade requires purple gems which are almost non existent without payment or some guy interested enough into your monster to sell it. I want something I can binge play and this is not a game you can binge play.

### 2/5 — Awesome game, if you’re willing to spend money

*2026-07-30, version 15.2.0*

Game is really cool, scan barcodes and make monsters that are unique to you. Equip items to the monsters to make them stronger and the appearance changes to reflect the items. It’s a really cool twist on the classic barcode scan games. That said. You’re locked into only 10 monsters. To get more you’ve got to spend gems. How do you obtain gems? Well that would be real world money. Without spending money you’re stuck at 10 monsters.

### 2/5 — Cool idea but meh

*2026-07-27, version 15.2.0*

I would’ve kept this and actually tried it if it hadn’t been for the fact that the monsters I spawned looked nothing like the items I scanned

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Delete

*2026-08-17, version 16.0.0*

No free purple gems Mack the game not as fun no adds to get them gems.

### 1/5 — Drop rates are bad

*2026-08-17, version 16.0.0*

Common (Grey): ~95% to 98%
Uncommon (Green): ~2% to 4%
Rare (Blue): Less than 1%
Epic (Purple): ~0.25% (About 2 out of 800 spawns)
Legendary (Gold): ~0.5% (About 4 out of 800 spawns)🧪

### 1/5 — Greedy Slop

*2026-08-14, version 16.0.0*

It’s fun to play an gen cards. There is no real progression however. Everything is behind a paywall. Can’t use most of the features without spending more than I make. Sad

### 1/5 — Free to Play option does not exist

*2026-08-06, version 15.2.0*

I really want to like this game, but when starting out all opponents vastly will outclass you, necessitating immediate purchase of pay currency to be even remotely competitive.

Healing a defeated monster takes 50 minutes or immediately with a small amount of real money. There is only one 50 minute healing slot, but more slots can be purchased with real money.

Am I missing something about starting out? Games of this type almost always have a free to play option which are fodder for the pay to play players, who are in turn fodder for the whales. Free to play seems to amount to taking 2 minutes to lose a battle then taking 3 hours to heal my 3 monsters. 😜

### 1/5 — Used to be a game you could play daily

*2026-07-25, version 15.2.0*

I wish yall could have seen this game before they optimized the fun out of it

### 1/5 — Just bad

*2026-07-16, version 15.2.0*

I’ve scanned multiple barcodes and it does nothing but load. I’ve still yet to get my first monster cause it just takes forever and never goes through.

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2026-07-07, version 15.2.0*

I just started playing and didn’t like the first couple monsters and now I have no coins to make a monster during the intro and it forces me to buy coins can’t even reset my account because it wants me to summon my first monster and I can’t do that without paying 0/10

### 1/5 — My account disappeared

*2026-07-03, version 15.2.0*

I played for a bit and spent money on upgrades. All of a sudden with out warning I open the app and was signed out and back to square one. Lost all the monsters I’d bought from marketplace and created.

### 1/5 — New Update

*2026-06-16, version 15.2.0*

The event pass boss is now level 10. It used to be level 7. I understand wanting to make it more challenging, but going from 7 to 10 is dumb. I’ve only been able to beat it once with 3 legendary monsters in my roster. So what was already a pay to win for PVP is now a pay to win just to compete in the free side of the event. I was thinking about getting a roster increase but not until the developer changes the focus of the game from a cash grab to something players with very limited funds can enjoy. Especially the portion of the game that is supposed to be free.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-06-11, version 15.2.0*

Its not free. Its starts up and it says to scan a barcode to summon your first monster. You do that but it says to generate core. Click on it and it says you dont have enough dark something. To it gives you the option to refill it. Then you click generate core again and then it says you dont have enough tokens. But dont worry you can just get tokens with gems… gems that you have to buy. So why even advertise it as free if you cant start the game without paying? Might.as well charge money for it in the App Store upfront.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Extremely creative!

*2026-08-19, version 16.0.0*

This is worth your time whether you’re into creature collectors or not. It has elements of realm building, deck building and card collecting AND monster collection and evolution! With literally nearly ANYTHING with a barcode serving as a new possible monster?! It’s brilliant!

### 5/5 — GREAT GAME

*2026-08-19, version 16.0.0*

Only thing is the DRAINS my battery but its great to see what people can make

### 5/5 — This game is awesome

*2026-08-17, version 16.0.0*

I like this game because you can earn things others can buy. The monster generation is by far the coolest out of any games I’ve played. This game is dooe!

### 5/5 — Improved

*2026-08-15, version 16.0.0*

Wow this game has improved a lot since I first tried it maybe a year or two ago. Really quite interesting. Still pretty confused what’s going on but it’s nice to be able to find and battle units of different rarities and infinite ways to customize. Really curious to see how this game will improve and whether it will gain a lot of traction.

### 5/5 — Definitely unit

*2026-08-12, version 16.0.0*

I love that you can just scan anything and turn in into a random monster I mean genius it’s a fun game to play and you get hooked on scanning anything and everything

### 5/5 — Human billboard/ hook it up

*2026-08-11, version 15.2.0*

I’ll say whatever you want online (about this game) if you pay me!!!lol and shoot me strong monsters so I can lure other players. I travel all over Northern California for work in supermarkets I can scan barcodes in Walmarts, wincos, targets, etc.. I’m an install refrigeration foreman for supermarkets. I have my job to do and guys to run at work, but I can scan at least 50+ barcodes a night easily to begin.

### 5/5 — Peak

*2026-08-05, version 15.2.0*

Raaaa

### 5/5 — Barcode not found

*2026-08-04, version 15.2.0*

The scanner seems prejudiced towards adult items like cigarette tubes or beer cans. But margarine, catnip bubbles and bug spray no problem.

### 5/5 — war c o d e is energy

*2026-08-02, version 15.2.0*

war c o d e is nutricius

### 5/5 — Super easy and fun as heck

*2026-07-30, version 15.2.0*

I literally just started and I already got creative with the stuff I can find around my house. Like board games, Lego sets, even deodorant. Anything in your house comes alive with ease and enjoyment.
