## What is Wardly?

Give your spare iPhone, iPad, or Mac a useful new job: a camera for Apple Home. Check on your pet or take a quick look at a room from the Home app on another device, using hardware you already own.

Install Wardly on the device you want to use as a camera. Open Apple Home on another device, add the camera using its setup code, and view the live video. For viewing on your home network, you do not need a home hub.

BEFORE YOU START
The camera device needs iOS/iPadOS 17 or later, or macOS 14 or later. On iPhone and iPad, keep Wardly open in the foreground while using it as a camera; a power connection is recommended for longer sessions.

Watching away from home requires a HomePod or Apple TV set up as an Apple home hub. Wardly provides live video, not recordings or HomeKit Secure Video. Sound from the camera's microphone is not sent to the viewer; speaking from the viewer to the camera is supported.
