Some last word of advice would to get Combat Cards, it’s a really nice TCG and needs a bigger player base. If that’s not your style I would recommend Tacticus, it’s a real time strategy game. I am happy to see new games in the making but this is just a good reason why we should be cautious around games. But the recent removal of the Defenders of Caliban from the main game has really saddened me. They filled an interesting niche in the game, one that no other faction has really filled. Worse, most players resort to ‘wait it out’ when losing, and your stuck waiting minutes for a timeout countdown. It become better to force-quit just to save yourself the boredom. The game would be 5/5 if they could add an option so you chose to only play bots. В топку ### 1/5 — PTW *2026-01-24, version 3.6.7* Disappointing and frustrating pay to win ### 3/5 — Balance Problems *2026-01-21, version 3.6.7* I know this is probably part of the business model where you introduce new cards that outshine old cards and then nerf them after everybody’s paid for them already, but seriously, I’m starting to doubt that you play test your game. For example, with the dark mechanicum, if you start second you can easily abuse your counterattack for that one unit that gives a buff to random unit every time it triggers network. That lets you start with a high stat unit on turn two and unless the enemy has units already planted, you have a massive advantage. Some units are also just blatantly better than others for the same price and rarity. The Sons of Horus have a 2/4 card with the cost of 3 and the Imperial fist also have that but gave it an ability. Some factions are also just unbalanced in general. The Salamanders are annoying to play with as almost every unit has survivor, allowing them to survive lethal attacks, which you can only counter if you have board control or the perfect strategems. Then there’s the factions that are useless unless you have a particular warlord like the Blood Angels, White Scars, etc. Please play test your game. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — They are closing this game down. *2026-06-28, version 3.7.3* There’s my reason. You used to be able to play whoever you wanted an have fun. Now its meta hell and if you try to play anything for fun you get curbstomped 100 times in a row. Spend hundreds of dollars and barely scratch the surface of the content. Spent years grinding for cards just for them to render all old cards “legacy” and re release whole new card sets so you have to earn everything again. Also they shutdown warpforge to favor this game which sucks because the new game was good. They will shut this game down too one day and all your money and time will have been for nothing. They havent released a new single player campaign in years. So theres no way to just enjoy playing a army you like. Truly a shame. Went from being a gem of a game to the most cursed. (Of our lodge not the start of the game) made some great friends on here. I am really sad that it’s about to be over. Just so many sentimental things I relate to either playing this game or times in my life while this was also a part of my life.
