### 3/5 — Would buy again

*2024-11-04, version 2.405*

It’s a good game and worth buying.. The reason I’m knocking off a couple of stars is that it has a few completely correctable and frankly avoidable glitches.

### 4/5 — Not as good as odyssey; but at least it isn’t age of sigmar

*2024-05-17, version 2.405*

Title

### 2/5 — Cash grab

*2024-04-10, version 2.405*

Aside from the obvious cash grab of a version 2, this version is pay and then pay to play. The original Rodeo Games version had better music, and felt a lot more ‘Old World’ than this one. The original far far more like the tabletop version as well. Really disappointed..
And to rub salt in, all the in app purchases of the original I’ve made are gone along with the game as well…

### 3/5 — Wasted opportunity

*2024-01-31, version 2.405*

It could have been a great game. The graphics are fantastic, story is well written and the level design is interesting and varied. Sadly it is ruined by constant “ambushes”. They seem to occur at random throughout the level and take no account for the remaining foes in play, health of your troops and how many you have left. I enjoy a challenge but after 10 back to back ambushes in one level, it makes the game incredibly frustrating and ultimately unplayable. Perhaps this could be fixed with a patch because otherwise the game is excellent and I would have given it 5 stars.

### 2/5 — So much potential wasted

*2022-05-21, version 2.405*

Looks good, plays very smoothly but there is no depth. Far too easy, story lines are uninteresting and poorly written. The missions need some variation (the ambushes being the only bit of difference to provide something different). Could do with some difficulty levels and a lot more item variation (and make it hard to get the good stuff!)

### 4/5 — .

*2021-08-27, version 2.405*

Good Game, not as good as the first though.

### 3/5 — Good but short

*2021-01-11, version 2.405*

Overall the turn based play is pretty decent and the different character classes offer some nice variety. It’s fairly straightforward but with some tactical depth.

The overall game is pretty short and can be “finished” in a few hours before needing to buy more dlc.

Considering it’s $5 to get initially and $3 to unlock each character class beyond the initial ones, and another $5 for each of the next story portions it’s pretty expensive IMO.

### 2/5 — Short, easy and expensive

*2021-01-02, version 2.405*

The game looks good and the game play is ok. All the dungeons are all very similar and it’s easy to wait by the door and pick off the enemy. The AI is pretty dumb so it’s no real challenge. What I did find shocking was the cost of the add on levels. I wasn’t expecting them to be only 10 dungeons max. The most ‘difficult’ level only has 7 dungeons.

I finished the entire thing including the expansion packs over a weekend, and I can’t see any replayabilty as you have to pay to get new characters and the game is too easy to be bothered.

Conclusion Too short, too easy, too expensive.

### 4/5 — Really fun but needs higher difficulty settings

*2020-12-24, version 2.405*

The game was fun. I thought it played much smoother than 1. Less gimmicks to get stuck in. Less unfair ambushes. But I found this to be too easy. I just soloed the final boss level. Just give me a higher difficulty mode so that there is the risk I might actually have some deaths.

### 3/5 — Pretty good but no variety

*2020-09-08, version 2.405*

I found this great fun at first but then very quickly it became repetitive - you enter a dungeon, you kill everything and then you leave - there are no other quests or variations in the game play.

I didn’t have the same problem others had with a lack of gold - in fact I quickly became rich by selling characters and items I had found in the side quests. I never needed to purchase additional gold.

Once past level 5 and with a few decent pieces of equipment your party becomes completely invincible and you will be able to chew through the rest of the scenario and the expansion packs (which aren't worth the money), completing each dungeon on your first attempt without too much trouble.

Had real promise at first so a bit disappointed in the end.

### 3/5 — Too many changes from the original

*2020-08-25*

If this is to be a sequel to the first the mechanics should be similar. Where the first follows the basic rules and mechanics of the board game from the 90’s the second seem to be more like the dungeons and dragons mechanics which wouldn’t be bad but it just wasn’t what I expected. The there is the issue of the difficulty level skyrockets to fast. I get that they do that to get you to make in app purchases. Personally I would rather pay a few dollars upfront than be buckled and dimmed. I am also not crazy about the characters maybe I am just to hung up on the original. I have tried to get into it several times mostly because the original won’t work with the current iPhone version. I truly hope the newWarhammer quest silver tower is closer to the original

### 2/5 — Gameplay is all right, but the graphics?

*2020-06-13, version 2.404*

I recently bought this game, and it functions acceptably as a typical run-of-the mill dungeon adventure game, but the graphics are distractingly awful. It looks like the creators gave the lead 3D artist the day off and let the intern have a go instead. The figures look like plastic identikit dolls, and bear little or no resemblance to their 2D illustrations, the movement is wooden and lacking any form of heft, and the whole thing is set to highly excited music which, due to the way the graphics fail to work, I find hard to get excited about or engaged in. Play the first edition of this game, or the Warhammer 40k versions such as Space Wolf or Space Hulk, as they are more ably constructed, but I would think twice before spending money on this game.

### 3/5 — Good, but not as good as the original

*2020-04-05, version 2.404*

Considering that the first version, while available, isn’t being supported anymore this is the next best thing. The game does not have the challenge or the charm of the first one, but it is very slick and professionally presented.

Other than the Warhammer license there isn’t much to set this game apart from a horde of competitors.

In short, not bad... but also not great. Could have really capitalized on people coming to it as fans of the tabletop game instead of another generic fantasy turn based dungeon crawler.

### 3/5 — Its not working

*2020-04-02, version 2.404*

Its not working for me at all it is just stuck trying to load for minutes right when i open the app i have iphone 5 says its compatible

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Undisclosed ripoff

*2025-04-26, version 2.405*

When you buy gold, it can only be used for that single saved thread. Not for the account not for other saved games just the single thread saved game. It’s just a money grab.

### 1/5 — Typical pay to play

*2021-12-23, version 2.405*

Version one was a fantastic game! Version two ruined by difficulty levels and action points that mean you have to pay $$$ to get anywhere. So sad to see this happen to a game that you already have to pay for.

### 1/5 — I don’t appreciate cash gouging

*2021-04-28, version 2.405*

This game in order to play with the 6 additional heroes you must pay 18 dollars. Also, another 10 for the 2 other areas to quest in.

### 1/5 — Worst game ever

*2021-03-19, version 2.405*

Worst game ever! - stuck in 2nd dungeon - play die play die play die - cannot get out cannot move forwards. Do not usually comment on games and give them a review but this one is just so bad I had to write this.

### 1/5 — Greedy and poor quality

*2021-01-13, version 2.405*

This game is a money grabbing grind, don’t think the money ppl behind this have a shred of honour. Progression system is unsatisfying and you have to pay gold to level up! It stinks, the first Warhammer Quest whilst not being an exceptional game is far superior. Wouldn’t mind the pay for progression and additional characters if the game was free in the first place but one or the other, GREEDY! The game is no where near the quality where I’m even slightly tempted to shell out additional cash and rather regret spending money to get it the first place. Will make sure not to buy anything from Perchang or is it Ka-Ching 🤔 again.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2020-12-26, version 2.405*

The first Warhammer game was excellent but this is rubbish. Heroes walk through fire unless micromanaged. Dumb monster AI. Full of bugs and crashes a lot. A retrogressive step in every area except the visuals. Avoid it.

### 1/5 — Too repetitive

*2020-08-06, version 2.405*

The game is simply always the same : enter a dungeon (the room quickly become recognizable), kill the same monsters (about 7 different types) get 3 loots.

Most of the classes are locked and you get a single region to play in. The full game would probably cost over 40$. Ridiculous.

Avoid this game, it is not worth it.

### 1/5 — Not worth it at all

*2020-06-04, version 2.404*

I tried really hard to like this game.. I played warhammer as a kid so I thought I’d give this a go.
Here’s the upside: the gameplay itself functions smoothly without bugs, that I’ve encountered at least, the story is good if you like the warhammer world, the combat and game mechanics play well and for the first couple dungeons it’s interesting.

The down side you ask?....
After about two Dungeons you’ve basically played the whole game with exception of monster type and a few hero advancements. The gameplay is in incredibly repetitive and easy, I never once felt my group of basic characters were in danger in the least the game just becomes un interesting if it’s just clear this room, move to the next rinse repeat finish.
In order to play as any of the non 5 (I think) classes offered with the purchase you not only have to pay real money, but then buy them in game.... lame.... especially if I don’t know if I want that class or not.
EVERYTHING IS RANDOM!!! And I mean everything. Character advancements, random, items at that shop, random, characters available, random... the end result is that the player has to tediously wonder the map in search of something they actually want to play with.... who the hell thought this would be fun?

I think the bottom line is, This had potential to be a great strategy board game and it just ended up being tedious, random as hell, and repetitive as hell.... as well as leaving the player feeling scammed by not actually having access to the classes advertised..... if that sounds fun to you then pick it up.... if not save your money.

### 1/5 — What waste of money

*2020-05-09, version 2.404*

Played the game for a few days then it refused to load. Uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times which didn’t fix the problem. Emailed the developer and got no response. I feel robbed. I want a refund, to anyone reading, don’t buy this game!

### 1/5 — Game doesn’t load up

*2020-03-07, version 2.404*

The game doesn’t load up. Not good for a game I had to pay for.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So so gooood!!!

*2024-09-22, version 2.405*

Love it. The correct difficulty level. I just wish the heroes had more equipment slots - 4 is not enough

### 5/5 — Great sequel

*2023-03-25, version 2.405*

I had to buy a couple characters early but very fun game good sequel

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2021-04-27, version 2.405*

I really like this game, wished there were more areas. You can beat the first area with the default characters. I would like there to be an export map (but that’s just a personal preference).

### 5/5 — After act v

*2020-12-13, version 2.405*

I’ve completed act v and it hard and amazing at the same time

### 5/5 — Please add Apple TV support!

*2020-09-22, version 2.405*

Very fun game, reminds me of playing hero quest as a kid with my family!

### 5/5 — It’s worth it

*2020-09-19, version 2.405*

Has great replay value and I am glad I purchased it! You won’t be disappointed if your into turn base strategy roll playing games.

### 5/5 — Nice throwback

*2020-08-17, version 2.405*

Love this game. Old school tactics with improved mechanics and effortless gear maintenance.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2020-03-31, version 2.404*

Fun little dungeon crawler☄️recommendable to warhammer fans for sure

### 5/5 — Excellelent

*2020-02-12, version 2.404*

Excellelent

### 5/5 — Don’t buy DLC

*2020-01-06*

This was my favorite mobile game until I fell victim for this games money trap. After beating the first set of challenges (without DLC) I was disappointed at the lack of more difficult dungeons to play. Naturally I download the DLC looking for a challenge (because I highly enjoyed the raw version of the game), only to find out the next levels you purchase are for beginners! All that grinding for nothing. From one avid Strat player to another: save your time. Or simply play to only beat the first 10 challenges (don’t get invested).
