The painting videos are really useful and some of the animations are great. The app itself is awful. I’ve had to reload it several times to keep logged in, poor UI, laggy. Ich benutze die App hauptsächlich auf dem Mac M4 Mini und mir kommt es manchmal so vor, als würden die Entwickler ihr eigenes Produkt nicht testen. Das Bildformat passt nicht, man muss rein zoomen um das Bild zu skalieren, wenn man eine Folge zum zweiten Mal gucken möchte, kann man irgendwie nicht richtig zurückspulen sondern wird innerhalb einer Sekunde zur darauffolgenden Folge weitergeleitet. Watch an episode, next episode is black with only audio. Go back to the Home Screen and try again? Same thing. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and it’s the same. I love Warhammer but this has got to be fixed. ### 2/5 — GW Greed - Outdated/ worst streaming app. *2026-07-11, version 2.3* I’ve canceled my subscription as a direct result of the Games Workshop DMCA against ForceOrg and other Tabletop Simulator Supports. Remember who makes you money games workshop, your community… screw over the community and kiss your revenue goodbye. So kiss the free subscription money goodbye. Regarding the app directly, it’s complete garbage, it would be a bad app by 2013 standards. Trying to select an episode you’ve already watched takes you to the last 5 seconds of the episode and forces you into the next without being able to scroll to restart it. Terrible organization. The content is second rate. Even free streaming apps have better ui than this fecal dumpster fire. Until there is a change of attitude at GW I’ll only be buying second hand plastic or utilizing 3d prints for miniatures. You can aim to please your investors and loose money or aim to please your community and make money. ### 4/5 — Good but the new update has broken it *2026-07-11, version 2.3* New update appears to have stopped Hammer & Bolter videos from working. Some shows don’t list any of their episodes, videos will play over other audio/video playing on your phone or iPad, etc. The UX is also quite poor. Fire the the developer(s). It crashes on multiple Apple TVs. How bad is it? Well I’m an Apple user since 1994, and I’ve purchased dozens of Macs since then, probably 10+ iPhones, same number of iOS devices. Thousands of dollars of software over the years. This is probably my first negative review. At the very least, fire your QA team. ### 2/5 — A really poor and frustrating experience *2026-06-14, version 1.77* I really expected more from a such a massive company with huge resource and money. The UX of the app needs great improvement and it’s like the designers have never used another streaming service before. It just screams amateur - series are listed in long lists of episodes, the app icons are low pixel versions and it requires you to log in seemingly every time you use the app. More recently, videos fail to load and crash the app, forcing it to close. Upon watching again the show starts at the end of the end credits and immediately goes to the next show. This repeats until you reach an episode you haven’t finished. You can’t rewatch anything on the app cause of the poorly functioning autoplay system. The video loads at the end and automatically starts the next episode only for that to instantly end as it starts the next episode again and again… ### 1/5 — App is full of bugs and lack of content *2026-07-18, version 2.3* This app with close down, go to a black screen and constantly throw up errors. The content is very limited. Maybe 1 or 2 battle reports unless it’s 40k or age of sigma. You will be lucky to watch anything without it bugging out before the end. I have complained to games workshop but customer service is terrible. If you want anything other than the mini then I wouldn’t waste your time. Or at least feels that way. I have had difficulty logging in and watching the videos. Even with these problems I still give it a 5 star review. Why? Its simple. Warhammer plus is only going to get better. The more we as their fans keep supporting they are going to keep adding and increasing it. And already it has wonderful content. I spend most of my time watching the animation channel and the citadel painting one. The days when you just need more Warhammer in your life it’s a great place to go and just let your mind wonder. Even though it’s not as clean of a system like Netflix I believe it will be. I know the content is not vast in size either, but it will be. I look forward to the shows and content that will be added.
