It has an occasional glitch but most can be fixed by restarting the app. Warlord seems like a great company and this app is just one reason why I like them so much. ### 3/5 — Won’t let me make a army list. *2025-09-30* Looks great and I want to get into the game but it won’t let me start an army list, I sign in it’s literally stuck one screen right after I signed up that says log out and subscribe. ### 5/5 — As of September 2025… *2025-09-21* As of writing this review, been using the app a few months now and have had zero issues on Apple. They did a great job at programming it to keep you on track and legal, which is something I very much needed as a new player. I’ve had 0 issues with it and I think for a couple bucks a month, it’s definitely worth it to have the equivalent to the rulebook at my disposal. ### 3/5 — Buggy and unreliable *2025-01-15* The layout and UI are perfectly fine, but the app itself is fraught with technical issues and is very prone to crashing or simply failing to successfully start up ### 2/5 — Potential, but correct broken *2025-01-09* The app currently doesn’t function, as it fails to “populate entity cache” when trying to load the app and the rules to build lists for Bolt Action. ### 2/5 — Frustratingly Unstable *2024-12-22* Incredibly frustrating. Crashes constantly, generally after a unit is altered once or twice. It will absolutely crash after I’ve completed one unit and added another. The web based app on desktop often does not load or loads with a blank screen. Let us know if you're still having problems at warlord@maloric.com. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Would be great if it worked *2025-10-30* If this app wasn’t so glitchy and filled with bugs making it infuriating to use it would be great. It will let you build a whole platoon then glitch out because it has deleted that same platoon while you are in it editing it so all that time you just spent is for nothing this is one of the more common bugs of the many you will find. Until the app is fixed I won’t be paying for it. Do yourself a favor and get EasyArmy instead. ### 2/5 — Subscription bugged for apple users, on an apple app -_- *2025-02-24* The app works alright for what it is, but if im paying for the app, I expect my lists to be there so its ultimately very frustrating that im logged out, cant log back in when I subscribed via ios and then told I need to contact customer service because your app is broken. Either make the app free like battlescribe, new recruit, and others, or make the subscription based on website only. This is really silly. Whats the point of saving lists on your device if they’re linked to your account. So when youre kicked out of your account like I was, you lose your “saved” lists and cant get them back even if you cancel and repay your subscription. ### 2/5 — Not working *2025-01-23* App for days now not working but you have taken my subscription fee from my account? Rules are updated constantly and allow access to information hidden throughout several books. Warlord is also very fast to correct bugs or issues. Noticed an error in rules and they fixed it the same day. ### 5/5 — Solid App and Website, Updates Regularly *2026-01-17* I’ve had the app for over a year now and I’m pretty happy with it. Haven’t experienced any lost lists or issues. Once you get the hang of it (the UI is clunky at first, different than easy army) it’s actually really intuitive and I enjoy building lists with it. It’s constantly updated and has all the new “armies of”books when they’re released, which is a perk. It’s nice to be able to share and export and have all the current rulebook stuff for tournaments and such. I would love if it would expand to Black Powder or Hail Caesar, but happy it has Black Seas, Blood Red Skies, and K47.
