## Most critical reviews (7 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is a joke

*2026-01-07*

I’m not sure why they bothered with it. What’s really disconcerting is the reviews saying changes were promised years ago. Hire away someone who worked on Nest
or something!! Between this and the bigger problem that the system in my house can’t communicate via WiFi to run a schedule (so a lower temp at night has to be done manually, every day) I’m really not sure this system was worth the premium cost

### 1/5 — On and off only

*2025-10-14*

It makes sense that most would like to have full control of the heating system. For example turning the heat up before coming home from a vacation not just on. For the price of the system you’d think Warmboard would have the tech knowledge to make an app that is useful.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2025-02-10*

There is so much data that must be collected from the ten Warmboard proprietary thermostats I have. But the App only allows a manual vacation mode toggle and no ability to control what that heat setting is. It is about a decade behind where the tech should be and is an embarrassment for a system that cost me over $100k! Pitiful! Do better!!

### 1/5 — Work but almost not worth it…

*2023-02-04, version 1.0*

While the app works…I mean…it is missing 99% of the features it should have.

### 2/5 — Not up to par with the brand

*2023-11-05*

The system itself (warmboard) is great! And a premium is paid for that system. There’s an obvious weak link in the warmboard chain - the app. It’s a joke. Reward your customers that have paid a hefty penny for your system with an app that’s representative of the quality of the brand. It seems like an afterthought.

### 2/5 — App is very basic

*2023-05-05*

I’ve been using this app for 18 months now and it only does the basic on/off vacation mode. This past week I turned it off vacation mode at noon and when we arrived at the house at 9 pm it was still cold. The thermostat had a message that it couldn’t communicate with the boiler. Now THAT would have been a useful thing to know in advance! All it required for me to do was toggle the boiler off/on which I can do via a smart plug (can you sense that I’ve had to do this before?).
I was told over a year ago that new features would be coming but I’m not holding my breath as nothing has changed yet. This app could be so much better and the data is available, since all the information is being sent to the company anyways.

### 2/5 — I Don’t Have Patience for App Battles…

*2022-05-25*

I installed the app, but over and over again after scanning the code on the side of my Warmboard-provided bridge, I get “Invalid QR Code.” Since Warmboard is in California, I must wait until noon EDT to call them for technical assistance. I like when things just work. Especially expensive things.
