Post installation it is a “free trial” and I’m growing tired of the lies. There is no need to lie if your product is worth it’s salt. This sophomoric Millennial trickery will earn you a bad review and a prompt deletion. ### 1/5 — You’re out if your mind. *2018-10-06, version 1.0.3* $1.99 per WEEK!!! Are you nuts. Tons of great apps that I pay reasonable rates for. I have over 50 photo related apps and this one’s $104 per year. Really? Forget it deleted immediately. Trial? Checked it out in the App Store. It was a free app. Downloaded it, fully expecting in-app purchases. After the download and before the app loads, I was prompted to agree to $1.99 per week (*PER WEEK*) after a “trial”. For a photo app!!! Promptly deleted app and then wrote this diatribe. I’d love some sucker to write a review and tell me how this is worth $1.99 per week. **Developer response:** Hello Alicia - and thanks for your feedback. Please note that Warmlight IS a free app, offering a Premium set of features in addition to the ones that are available without any payment. Your contribution is greatly appreciated! ### 1/5 — Do not download; $104 a year to use *2018-09-29, version 1.0.3* If you read the app description there is no mention of cost, so you figure there’s no risk to try; after all, every moderately experienced photographer likes the flexibility filters add. Sadly, when you first open it, a pop-up appears saying opening the app gets you a free 3 day trial, and a $2 a week subscription fee unless you contact iTunes and have them stop automatic payments. Really? This is done only after you agreed to install it. Otherwise you might see what the developer is charging and take a hard pass. The developer has found a way to just tie you into automatically weekly payments. Stopping the subscription is a detail conveniently left out by the developer and a bit of a pain. Since I’ve purchased real filters for my Leica for much less, this doesn’t seem like a value. This app isn’t Photoshop and we’re not exactly working with a pro camera here (though it is surprisingly good). I guess I’ll stick with Apples own product. **Developer response:** The application does not initiate a payment unless you subscribe for Premium. If you had a free trial and haven’t canceled it, the account should have been charged only after the end of the trial period and then automatically according to the duration of your subscription plan. You can always cancel it through your device Settings - iTunes & App Store - Apple ID - View Apple ID - Subscriptions - Manage. Otherwise please contact Apple support directly. ### 3/5 — It’s decent *2018-09-28, version 1.0.3* I haven’t had it for long but I can already tell that all the controls are practically the same. Most of the filters are blocked off and you have to find them unless you wanna look green or blue you have to buy premium. But it’s not terrible it’s pretty good editing if you know what you are doing and know how to work with hard conditions. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. Misleading as in the App Store it’s free and no mention of a subscription. Since it is ultimately up to me. You won’t get a dime from me. Go with Adobe if you want to pay subscription. It’s not like most apps, it’s easy to use and edits more naturally. My favorite part is how I can blur the background to focus on something/someone. All you have to do is tap on the blur tab with the raindrop symbol and you have two options. On the left, is a on-screen spotlight that you can zoom in and out to focus right on where you want the spotlight to show.
