### 1/5 — Not working!

*2025-11-03, version 1.1*

This app is just not working!
Crashes every time I try to use it.

### 1/5 — Potentially useful... Potentially.

*2025-09-24, version 1.1*

I decided to use this app because KDE Connect wouldn't work on my PC unfortunately. While with this app my PC and phone could see each other, this app would crash immediately so I couldn't even complete the transfer.

Rather unfortunate really. Perhaps more development is needed before it can be used. Neat concept though.

### 1/5 — Still Not Working

*2025-09-18, version 1.1*

I concur with the other reviewer, this app crashes continually and can’t context to my Linux PC at all. Given it up as a bad job and the pp has been deleted.

### 4/5 — Does what it needs to but won’t run in the background

*2025-09-13, version 1.1*

File transfer fails if the screen turns off on its own or if you go to the Home Screen

### 4/5 — Potentially useful app

*2025-09-06, version 1.1*

- Now works with Linux Mint 22.2
- Note the group code is case SeNsiTiVe, so be aware of that.
- I did have it fail when sending four, ~100MB files at a time from my iOS device to my Linux desktop. But one at a time seems to work fine.

Overall, a slightly technical app to get to work correctly, and could use some polish.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-08-07, version 1.1*

The IOS Warpinator does not work over lan, my computer does not recognise it on the network (both my phone and computer has Warpinator) and when I attempt to send files over the network the app crashes.

### 1/5 — Non functional

*2025-06-26, version 1.1*

The app sees my desktop, but crashes when sending files, and my desktop cannot see my phone. Running Mint 22.1

### 3/5 — a review

*2025-05-07, version 1.0*

i managed to make the program connect with my computer (steamdeck) but i can't send photos? i thought it was for file sharing.. and photos are a kind of file.. maybe it's just user error. hopefully, it is user error because i'd really like to be able to move my photos to my pc.

### 2/5 — Crashes when sending files

*2025-03-28, version 1.0*

Whenever I try to send a file, the app crashes and the selected file is not sent. Picks up everything just fine, but will crash when attempting to send something. iPadOS 18.3

### 1/5 — Not compatible with Linux Mint

*2024-12-12, version 1.0*

Unlike the previous beta version run on TestFlight which worked well, this general release version of Warpinator is unable to connect with either Mint versions 20.3 or 21.3. It sees and attempts to connect to each machine on the LAN, but displays a “Disconnected“ message after 5 seconds. (Yes, Warpinator is running on the other machines first.)

Very disappointing, especially since the beta versions worked well.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2025-05-30

- Refactor of connection functionality should result in better connection, reconnection & stability.
- UI for manually accepting transfers has been reworked, you can now initiate a transfer from the transfer list itself
- If, for some reason, the devices can see each other but are not connecting right away, you can try refreshing the device-detection by tapping "Warpinator" on the main screen
- Compression is now enabled

- Fixed a memory leak causing crashes when receiving large files. Still investigating a similar, different memory leak that causes crashes when sending large files ( >2GB)
- Fixed the "Overwrite Files" option not taking effect
- Fixed an issue where starting up without internet access generated a faulty SSL certificate
- fixed numerous smaller bugs

Work is ongoing, but hopefully this will resolved some of the issues in the meantime.

### 1.0 — 2024-11-02

No release notes.
