The text in this game is nigh illegible. It’s either far too small or has poor contrast, especially with red or darker backgrounds. It’s a shame too because this game is right up my alley and I don’t mind paying for a game I really enjoy. The intro text was bad enough, but when I logged out and back in, “New Server” was written in what felt like size 4 font with decimal kerning. Had to take a screenshot and zoom in 3.5x to read it. The main UI is flooded with a useless chat I have no interest in reading when getting started with no way to hide it. If they could get rid of that so everything could be a bit bigger I might try it again. Gameplay wise, recycling is not explained well. Poor writing to explain the out of town merchant (a sentence with 3 x ‘but’) doesn’t help. Anyway, some minor stuff that adds up. I wish I could zoom in and out. Or scroll text. If your eyes are great or you have a magnifying glass/ jeweler’s loupe then enjoy the game. Lets be honest, thats pretty dishonest, but like most I wanted my rewards. I felt compelled to leave a more honest review after receiving said rewards. The game is decent. I don't have a lot of experience with AFK games, so I don't have a wide comparison, but by & large I've been having fun. Like most pay to win cash grabs, everything is for sale. However, if you have patience, there is tons to do for free. They are endlessly giving away gift codes with little bonuses, pretty much every weekend, and other random times as well. And the game has quite a lot of depth, as far as how to build your character stronger. That's where most of the cash grab comes into play, "get stronger faster". At the end of the day though, why? That's the rub... the actual adventure part is pretty static. You get stronger to do the same exact same thing over and over. Give it a go, it's easy to get into, but have some patience. You can spend money and speed your development, just so you can do the same thing at a higher level. Or you can take it slow and enjoy the endorphin achievements as they come in, over time. I've been playing 2 weeks and spent about $20. A newbie pack, an option to get rid of all the ads - the best $4 you will spend (the game doesn't show random ads, but there are some daily rewards you get by watching ads - this option just gives you those rewards for free), and a pack, a little later, that gives a helmet with +2 all skills (that you can use for a long time). I don't mind spending a few bucks, e.g. buying the game as I view it, but beyond that I'm pretty cheap. As long as you have patience, you don't need to spend money. Oh they also have very detailed guides on their discord channel, which are massively helpful and well worth the read. Highly recommend so you don't put effort in the wrong things. If late game gets more interesting then I'll come back and bump up a star. At the moment though, it's fairly repetitive. But maybe I'm being unrealistic and thats what you should expect from an AFK game. Anyway, there you go, a more honest review.
