# Washread: Laundry Care Labels — Keep drying instructions clear > Keep drying instructions clear (iPhone/iPad app by Robert Corbin.) - Source: https://appshunter.io/ios/app/washread-laundry-care-labels/id6777079140 (this page in markdown: same URL + `.md`) - Developer: [Robert Corbin](https://appshunter.io/developer/1890247992) - Category: Utilities, Lifestyle - Price: $1.99 - Age rating: 4+ - Requires: iOS 17.0 · 4 MB - Languages: American English - Released: 2026-06-11 - Data updated: 2026-10-08 ## What is Washread? Build a run from saved garment care cards and keep their instructions alongside cleaning, drying and put-away checkpoints. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open Laundry Runs and select the care cards for the garments you are handling. 2. Review the saved instruction snapshots and record each garment’s cleaning and drying progress. 3. Share a handoff or complete the put-away step. Undo checkpoints in reverse order if needed. Care-symbol guidance and saved cards remain available. Load advice now distinguishes explicit cycle instructions and does not suggest washing a do-not-wash item separately. WHAT TO KNOW A run is a tracking list, not proof that garments belong in one load. Follow each label and consider fabric, color and soil. Unknown or missing washing instructions are not treated as machine-wash compatible. Label temperatures are maximums, not required settings. iPhone and iPad. ## Is Washread safe? New Learn tab gathers four tools: • Symbol grammar reference: what the dots, bars, triangles, and letters mean, and how ISO numbers map to US/ASTM dots. • Symbol quiz: a multiple-choice quiz over the full library with scoring and review. • Detergent dose helper: the right amount from load size, soil level, and water hardness, with a pods-overdose warning. • Dry & iron reference: a drying-time estimator and a per-fabric safe iron-temperature table. • Plus a printable "Save as PDF care card" for any garment. Everything is decoded on-device. No account, no network — your tags stay on your device. ### 1.2 — 2026-06-16 Version 1.2 - Stain Guide: a new tab with 30 common stains across 7 categories (beverages, food, oil & grease, protein, ink & dye, grass & dirt, makeup). Each entry has step-by-step treatment instructions, fabric-specific notes (silk, wool, cashmere, etc.), and a list of common mistakes to avoid. Urgency badges tell you which stains need immediate action. Filter by category or search by stain name. All offline, no network required. Data sourced from American Cleaning Institute, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, and Consumer Reports guidance. - Wash Load Advisor: in the History tab, tap the menu to check whether 2 or more saved garments can share a washing machine load. The advisor reads the care symbols from each saved card, flags any garment that requires hand wash or no machine wash, calculates the most restrictive safe temperature for the compatible items, and tells you whether to use a delicate or normal cycle. Each garment gets a pass/flag result with a plain-English explanation. - Colour Sort Advisor: from the History menu, split your saved garments into Whites, Darks, and Colours before loading the machine. Each group shows the right wash tip for that load. Items with ambiguous labels are flagged to confirm. Mixing colour groups is the most common cause of dye transfer and colour fade. - Laundry Timer: a new Timer tab with a circular countdown ring and eight cycle presets - Quick Wash (15 or 30 min), Normal (60 min), Delicate (45 min), Heavy Duty (90 min), Tumble Dry (45 or 60 min), Air Dry (90 min) - plus a custom duration up to 180 minutes. Pause and resume at any time. - Export as CSV: tap the menu in History and choose Export as CSV to send all your saved care cards - garment label, date, symbol names, and full decoded instructions - as a properly formatted spreadsheet file to Numbers, Excel, Notes, or Files. ## Apps similar to Washread | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [ZeroExif - Photo Privacy](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/zeroexif-photo-privacy/id6764007500) | 1.0 (1) | Free | Utilities | | [SnapFrame - On-device AI](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/snapframe-on-device-ai/id6773542560) | — | $3.99 | Utilities | | [FlowClock - Standby Clock](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/flowclock-standby-clock/id6755359506) | — | Free | Utilities | | [dB Meter: Decibel SPL Spectrum](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/db-meter-decibel-spl-spectrum/id6767850405) | 5.0 (1) | Free | Utilities | | [TwoCamera](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/twocamera/id6764466424) | 1.0 (1) | Free | Utilities | | [Boundless Screenshot](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/boundless-screenshot/id6762754449) | 3.7 (6) | Free | Utilities | ## More apps by Robert Corbin - [Daily Word Journey](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/daily-word-journey/id6761548266) - [Hush Secret Text: Encryption](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/hush-secret-text-encryption/id6761658175) - [Renew Guard](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/renew-guard/id6761755447) - [Receipt to PDF: Expense Report](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/receipt-to-pdf-expense-report/id6761782025) - [Route Your Pay: Mileage Log](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/route-your-pay-mileage-log/id6761783719) - [Tip Arbiter](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/tip-arbiter/id6761786879) All apps by Robert Corbin: https://appshunter.io/developer/1890247992 --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
