I test the leak detector sensor once every 4 months. By that time the app has automatically logged me out not allowing a notification to go through. So In turn if I actually had a leak I would not know about it. Rendering the purpose of this device useless. ### 2/5 — App does not send alerts for smart plug for sump pump *2020-12-07, version 3.1.6* The app installed and I was able to install the smart plug for sump pump without an issue. However, setting up the sump pump gallon flow rate doesn’t work, and it does not push notifications to device running the app. Customer service (China) suggested I uninstall and re-install until it works. Tried 2x knowing it was a waste of time. Definitely a bug in the app for the Smart Plug for Sump Pump. Maybe a fix there would help.... ### 4/5 — Great Product *2020-03-29, version 3.1.5* I just received the kit with 3-sensors today. Installation and Setup was easy and fast. Notifications work fine when motion is detected and all units seem to be working properly. My only gripes are a) one of the sensor’s batteries are at 1/2 power, even though they were included with the sensor as new and the protective contact paper was intact until setup, and b) it would be ideal for your company to offer a text messaging notification service as an add-on option. This way if a person has their phone on silent mode, they can setup the sending number for the text messages as an Emergency Contact and force the Sound Notification. Considering a would-be burglar will likely trigger the sensors after dark, and possibly when the home owner is sleeping and has their phone on silent mode or Do Not Disturb, the text as an Emergency Contact will trigger a sound and wake the person. ### 4/5 — It is good but can get better *2019-09-24, version 3.0.9* It is a good product detecting leaks and sending notifications to my iPhone. It’s an inexpensive way to let you know there is an actually water leak. If you don’t constantly make the the app is connected and open you will not get warnings on your phone. I often get logged out and have to relogin to the app. I’m literally to the point that I have a reminder to tell me to test it every 2 weeks Just tested and when it got wet it never sent any notices to the phone. Opened the app and it said water leak detected The idea is great but the execution between devices is useless ### 1/5 — Garbage. Flooded basement no notification *2023-05-07, version 3.2.0* Our basement flooded and we received no notification. I have a mesh system with 2.4 and 5 GHz and the extender is 20 feet from 3 of them and the app say poor service connection. Battery shows full but when I put them in water I get no alert or alarm. When I opened the app, the updates must have disconnected me from their service because I had to approve several changes for anything to come up. I have invested around $100 in these and have zero faith in them!!! Customer Support, Can I return these? Went to recently add a plug and all data on app has disappeared and have spent almost an hour trying to initialise one plug. Fear now all products need to be thrown out as cannot get anything to work. Avoid. Our sump pump just failed and flooded the basement. Both sensors were sitting in water and neither alerted me. After the flood, I checked the app and it said both sensors were functioning and battery power was good on both. Just deleted the app and threw out the sensors- total garbage!!!! ### 1/5 — Non-existent customer service *2021-06-27, version 3.1.6* Wasserstein has no customer service phone number. The website offers a Live Chat feature, but it is routed through Facebook (which some of want to avoid), and once you get there, the “live” site says that you will respond within 24 hours. You need to set up automation in order to turn water off. Side note if you loose power it won’t turn the water off unless you put power supply on battery backup. Also if not the power goes out then back on the water valve will turn water off. Just FYI. I love the system. You can also schedule times to turn water off and on if you have a summer home.
