## What is Wastee?

You know the moment: the yogurt was already there, but you bought another one. The vegetables slipped behind everything else. A freezer bag had a best-before date you only noticed too late.

Wastee helps you keep track of food before it disappears into the fridge, freezer, or cupboard.

Add what you have, where it is stored, and the best-before date you want to remember. Wastee shows what is coming up soon, sends local reminders on your iPhone, and helps before you shop because you can quickly check what is already at home.

What Wastee helps with:

Fast adding:
- Add items manually when that is quickest
- Optionally scan a barcode and look up product data through Open Food Facts
- Optionally read a best-before date from camera or photo

No account needed:
Wastee is a local-first iOS app with no login, no ads, and no tracking. Your inventory is stored on your iPhone. If you use optional barcode lookup or product image features, Wastee may request data from Open Food Facts. Support email, purchases, and the website use the services involved in those actions.

Wastee does not judge whether food is safe. It helps you organize saved dates, locations, and shopping needs so fewer things get forgotten.
