### 3/5 — Great when it works

*2026-04-05*

I've had both the usb and pod for a few years, and while the usb is reliable, the pod being used with a Karoo bike computer became highly unreliable. It would often never connect even after restarting the app, restarting the bike computer, connect from my watch, connect from my
phone, reconnecting to the Karoo, or it would just come in and out of connection through the ride if it did connect initially. After reaching out to support, they said it might be too far from the head unit, which ignores the fact it worked reliably for a long time, and also curious they'd sell something potentially unable to hold a connection regardless of where it's stored on a bike. After so much troubleshooting, too many rides without heart rate data, and support unwilling to resolve it.. i'm done. I get there's a lot of complexity trying to get all these proprietary connections to play nice together, but at some point it's just not worth it if it doesn't work reliably.

### 3/5 — Not working on IOS 26

*2025-09-21, version 1.54.3*

Unfortunately, the app on the Watch is no longer working after updating to iOS 26. It crashes right away. It would be greatly appreciated if you could fix this issue.

### 4/5 — Brian

*2025-04-12, version 1.50.13*

Great app but missing a few audio prompts

### 4/5 — Good but not perfect

*2025-02-05*

I had a lot of connection problems with Apple Watch to iPhone HR apps to link heart rate data to my head unit. Watch Link Pod gives me a solid connection when I clip the pod to my bib strap near my chest. The pod doesn’t work as consistently when I put it in my jersey pocket though. I’ve only been using the Watch Link Pod for a week so no long term opinion yet.

1 Month Update: I’m very happy with the Watch Link Pod so far. I’ve done about a dozen rides now without noticing any disconnections or significant inaccuracy in tracking my heart rate. I often take a coffee break during my rides and leave my head unit (Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt V2) on and the Watch Link app running on my Apple Watch and the heart rate data resumes fine even if I’ve gone out of range of the head unit during the break. I don’t notice any significant battery drain on the Apple Watch when running the Watch Link app. I can’t review battery life or durability of the Watch Link Pod yet since I haven’t had it long enough.

**Developer response:** Appreciate the review. Usually the Pod does well as long as it is in front of your body. Putting the Pod in a jersey back pocket usually doesn't work well since it connects over Bluetooth/ANT+ which don't do well through a body.

### 4/5 — Had issues… out of warranty, developer still said they would send a replacement.

*2024-07-02, version 1.45.12*

I didn’t even ask for the pod replacement, just wanted to figure why the issues connecting. Waiting for the replacement.

### 5/5 — Works better than before!

*2023-11-26, version 1.45.0*

New app that replaced the Heart Pod app connects more reliably and doesn’t have drop offs! Much improved!

### 5/5 — Zwift + wahoo elemnt

*2023-11-07, version 1.44.9*

Works great on both of these devices.

The Zwift watch feature was not working so I booted this unit up and it worked like a charm.

I had been using it on my wahoo with no issues. Thank you devs for making this app easy to use.

### 4/5 — Could be good

*2023-09-22, version 1.44.9*

Directions are not consistent in how to connect Apple Watch and Elemnt. Got it working first ride. Didn’t work second

### 5/5 — A brilliant piece of equipment

*2023-09-22, version 1.44.9*

I use this for outdoor road and MTB constantly. Battery lasts most of a year, app and firmware updates have solved any connectivity issues - it just works all the time every time! THANK YOU devs for keeping this product supported and ongoing. 💯

### 5/5 — Works great and convenient

*2023-09-20*

I have absolutely no desire to strap on a HR chest strap every time I ride my bike. This app along with the watch link pod solves that. It displays and allows my Garmin cycling computer to record my heart rate data. The app starts up and connects to the pod from my watch easily, then the pod connects to the Garmin automatically. The customer support is also excellent should you have any questions about it. 100% would recommend.

**Developer response:** Music to our ears! Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate it. support@pkfitness.com

### 5/5 — Great product

*2023-05-22, version 1.44.0*

If you have the Apple Watch, this product is the best way to go when hooking up to your Garmin bike computer. You don’t have to wear an uncomfortable strap or buy an expensive Garman watch. Great product well worth the price.

### 5/5 — Watch Link Pod

*2023-05-10*

I primarily use my Watch Link Pod while outdoor bike riding. I stared using the Watch Link Pod after purchasing my Wahoo Element V2 and realized Apple Watch doesn’t talk to Wahoo Element. I did my research and found my solution Watch Link Pod. The Watch Link Pod was easy to setup and pair with my iPhone, Apple Watch and Wahoo Element. It filled the missing link providing pulse data to Wahoo. I would also like to mention Customer Service is excellent.

**Developer response:** We appreciate you taking the time to provide a review! support@pkfitness.com

### 3/5 — Does NOT work with Hydrow Rower 4/15/2023

*2023-05-01, version 1.43.13*

Update 4/30/2023 Vendor has been responsive with emails and follow ups. The usb Watchlink finally connected to HYDROW for the first time today. It is beneficial. Hoping it continues to work. We’ll see. Apparently HYDROW updates can cause it to fail by not connecting. Upgrading rating for customer support and finally connecting. Old review follows DOES NOT WORK WITh HYDROW Rower $96 with Tax ripoff to buy the USB Hydrow package- vendor in CA does not accept returns- complete fraud - save your money. Vendor blames Hydrow’s latest updates.

### 4/5 — Works Great would be perfect with a few changes

*2023-04-18, version 1.43.3*

Works as advertised without any hiccups. Currently using at F45 as my studio does not have the F45 hub that would allow me to use my watch without the pod.

The watch app is very hard on the eyes. Would love to see the colors switched to be on a black background and to also change colors based on your current heart rate zone. Implement that and this would be the perfect app and accessory.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-01-20, version 1.50.13*

Doesn’t display hr from Apple Watch you have to put your finger on the camera

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-04-13, version 1.45.12*

Misleading garbage to get you to buy something. Doesn’t do what it appears to do.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect to Zwift or Wahoo

*2024-02-07, version 1.45.2*

I cane…I tried….I deleted. It won’t connect a series 8 Apple Watch to either wahoo or Zwift.

### 1/5 — Wast of money

*2023-04-10, version 1.43.3*

Was able to connect to my Apple Watch but am not able to connect to anything to make it work. Not Zwift, wahoo trainer, nor wahoo elemnt. I followed all the directions, uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing works and couldn’t get any support. Complete waste of time and money. Unfortunately, can’t even return it now. Be warned…

### 1/5 — Won’t pair

*2023-03-25, version 1.43.3*

Sometimes it pairs right up but the last few days it won’t. My Wi-Fi is on and I’m literally away. Very frustrating for what I paid for this.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2023-02-21, version 1.43.3*

It connects to my Hydrow maybe 25% of the time. When it did connect, it has displayed the heart rate on the screen a total of 2x! I emailed customer support 5 days ago and I still have not heard back from them. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Unreliable connection

*2022-11-26, version 1.40.3*

I thought I’d found the solution for using my Apple Watch as the HR sensor when riding. Connected as described and seemed to be keeping the HR on the Garmin Edge updated. However once out on the road the connection dropped constantly and required the watch app to be closed and reopened to connect. I gave up after 4/5 times and just ride on without it. Back to the strap for me.

### 1/5 — Never works

*2022-04-22, version 1.35.1*

Developers like they should be taken off the App Store. This app is flooded with a bunch of fake reviews and the real reviews tell the real story that this app is not reliable and will not work 100%

### 1/5 — No Returns

*2022-03-13, version 1.3.5*

Bought this with assurance it could be returned if I wasn’t satisfied. Before even receiving, developer changed their return policy to not allow returns. Pretty lame! Just threw away $90.

### 1/5 — Rarely works

*2022-02-18, version 1.33.12*

Feel like I wasted $60

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-03-09*

I went from a Garmin watch to an Apple Watch. I hated the Garmin but started sweating when I realized it was no easy feat to get my heart rate incorporated into my Garmin Edge cycling workouts. The Watch Link is great. I put a rubber band through the little handle on the POD and keep it attached to my Edge when in the house so I don’t misplace it. I toss it in my handlebar bag when riding. I just have to start a Watch Link workout on my watch and I’m good to go.

### 5/5 — Best App for NordicTrack Rower & Treadmill

*2025-11-05, version 1.54.4*

I have the RW900 Rower and Commercial 2450 Treadmill. This app and USB are the best solution if you’re looking for an easy, foolproof way to connect your iWatch to your equipment.

### 5/5 — Broadcasts Apple Watch heart rate to bike computer

*2025-06-21*

This amazing app meets a real need for Apple Watch wearing cyclists. This app and the associated pod allow the Apple Watch to send heart rate data to a bike computer in real time. With this solution, I no longer have to wear a chest strap or a Garmin watch to read heart rate data on the Garmin Edge 530 bike computer. The Watch Link app also sends cycling activity to Apple Health so the activity shows up in your activity ring totals.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review! Glad the app is working well for you with your Garmin Edge bike computer. We love user feedback. Reach out to us at support@pkfitness.com.

### 5/5 — Reliably transmits Apple Watch heart rate

*2025-05-23*

I can now use my Apple watch for both outdoor cycling, and indoor cycling with Zwift. This effortlessly connects my Apple Watch heart rate to my Garmin 840 bicycle computer for outdoor rides. I have done 50 mile rides and it barely dented the watch and phone battery capacity. It also makes connections to Zwift super easy, as the Zwift workaround is flaky. I could not be happier with this after trying some other similar products that were not consistent in their connections.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to review the app! Great to hear it is working well for you for both indoor Zwift and outdoor Garmin rides. We love feedback, reach out to us at support@pkfitness.com

### 5/5 — Love my Watch Link

*2025-04-24, version 1.50.13*

I have been looking for an alternative to a chest strap for my Garmin cycling computer. Watch Link does the trick - I can simply use my Apple Watch as my heart sensor. It works great and is definitely more comfortable especially on longer rides.

### 5/5 — 잘된다 굿굿

*2024-09-26*

심박 측정할때 자동으로 절전모드 실행 설정해놓으면
워치 배터리도 15시간이상 심박 측정 가능

**Developer response:** 리뷰를 남겨주셔서 감사합니다

### 5/5 — Be sure to RTFM!

*2024-06-07, version 1.45.12*

It worked like a charm with my ProForm treadmill as soon as I followed the directions for that specific treadmill, instead of trying to wing it. A widget for the Watch would be nice to have. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Amazing little device

*2023-12-17, version 1.45.2*

I’ve been testing the Watch link for a few months now and once you get the hang of it the device is a great option. Now I can leave the standard HR straps at home. Well done

### 5/5 — Hooked up my Apple Watch

*2023-12-13, version 1.45.2*

Hooks up my Apple Watch to my Peloton bike which is what I got it for.

### 5/5 — Great product!

*2023-12-07, version 1.45.2*

WatchLink works flawlessly with my Hydrow. In the rare event of a glitch, the customer service has been extremely responsive and quick to resolve. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
