More times than not you have to fast forward which only inches forward. I saw it on the first day when Robert Osborne was the host. I always thought it was a five star station. I’ve seen all the movies at least three times. I’ve been watching it that long. But the new update took away all the written material about each movie - behind the scenes stuff, bios on each actor, why it’s important, etc. And instead I get “what’s been added”. I get that on the Home Screen so it’s redundant. Bring back all the tidbits about each movie. There are people out there that do like to read. Make it a five star station again! This is my 3rd attempt to contact TCM for help :/ ### 1/5 — Unsupported Provider *2025-12-31, version 4.2.0* This used to be my favorite movie app. I had it installed on my old iPhone SE 2020 and didn’t have any problems. I’ve tried to sign in and watch this app on my new iPhone 17 but get an Unsupported Provider message. I have deleted the app restarted my phone and reinstalled the app. I keep getting the same message. ### 1/5 — WHY??? *2025-12-29, version 4.2.0* Where is all of the info on the actors/films??? Other than the films themselves that was the best thing about the app. I loved being able to read the info about the actors, the production, the crew, etc… It was everything I wanted & expected from a film loving company like TCM. It was all displayed in a no nonsense way & it was awesome. Now it’s just a “Recently Added” section where it used to be, like some kind of afterthought, you should just rename that section to “Recently Afterthought”. Why on earth would y’all get rid of all of the actor/production info/notes??? This has been prevalent on this app for a long time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to try to rectify this and I still cannot watch a movie on one of my devices through the app I think that this Is something that needs your attention. ### 1/5 — Tedious *2025-12-18, version 4.2.0* I have streaming apps that have kept me logged in for years, this ap forces me to verify at least once a week. I like TCM but this ap is awful. This ap makes you verify almost every time you try to watch. Very poorly thought out. Update. It doesn’t like my password now. Seriously, MLB and Netflix were updated when I got a new TV and not again since. This app makes you verify tediously, every time you try to watch. Maybe TCM should hire a tech pro. Has this glitch been fixed? Love TCM. Hat twenty login every time I try to watch. ### 1/5 — Previous app version was better. *2025-12-14, version 4.2.0* I do not like the new app update. I loved the information about the actors, directors, the film and all the information. It was also easy to see who was in the movie quickly. I don’t even have TCM, but still enjoyed looking up info on the app. I do wish we could have the option of subscribing to TCM without cable. ### 2/5 — No movie info *2025-12-09, version 4.2.0* Why are the cast names and articles about the movie removed? ### 1/5 — They got rid of all the information about the films. Sucks. *2025-12-07, version 4.2.0* They just got rid of all the information about the film – the backstory, the casting, the director, how it was received by audiences. There was a piece written about each film, and I read each one in order to decide what to watch. Try to run the app on the iPad says not authenticated. Try to sign in, get no option to. Run the amazon firestick version, just spins, doing nothing so many times. No network problem other streaming apps are fine. Now I’m getting not authenticated error in the app. Can’t play anything anymore. Love TCM, it was great to use when I am traveling and the hotel doesn't have TCM on their channel line up. Now SOL also Zendesk support page says page not found. Thanks guys More info if someone in support is reading this- the app works perfectly on my iPhone knows my tv provider- but on my iPad it asks me to login with an email or I have an option to login as an agent on a page that says Warner brothers Discovery. Doesn’t even ask me for the tv provider. ### 1/5 — Still Doesn’t Work! *2026-04-19, version 4.3.0* This app has had a headache for a long time now. A couple of years. I’ve submitted trouble tickets and gotten nowhere. I subscribe through Xfinity and the app refuses to authenticate. Support folks are just guessing or don’t care, I don’t know which it is. Regardless, the app just doesn’t work. I gave up and went to Roku. Even that is a pain since TCM expects a reauthentication every few days. A huge pain, but at least it can be made to work. The app and support deserve a minus star or two. ### 1/5 — Does not work with DISH *2026-04-16, version 4.3.0* I have TCM as part of my package. Have used the WatchTCM app for years. For over 6 months I have not been able to view movies from the TCM library - "provider not supported". None of the myriad of reported fixes do not work. Still unable to use. Tried to sign in on app- unable and directly signed in directly from Hotwire. I LOVE the easy to use interface and layout. It’s always worked very well throughout the years as well. Which is rare for streaming apps. Kudos to TCM and the developers involved. *one tiny complaint. The app has been the most buggy it’s ever been lately, I think it’s been since new big iOS update. Whenever I pause a movie, minimize the app, then come back in, it’s now a blank frozen screen. And the only way to return back to the movie, is to exit out, go back to the movie menu screen, and click resume. ### 5/5 — Old Movie Lover’s Dream App! *2025-07-29, version 4.0.0* Awesome app that allows you to stream dozens of movies at any given time! I’ve watched dozens of films from the Silent era through 1950 that I have heretofore only read about in books and been trying to catch on TV for 50 years! Love this app! ### 5/5 — My new favorite streaming app *2025-06-03, version 3.10.7* I’ve tried a ton of streaming apps, and this one has rapidly become my favorite. Yes, the catalogue at any given time is small, but they add new movies throughout the day every day! Plus, there are subtitles on 95% of the content, and I haven’t had a single issue with them being out of sync or poorly done so far—most streaming services fall short in this regard, so it’s a relief that they’re so well-done here. 10/10, no issues (well, it logs me out sometimes but it takes all of two seconds to log back in), and I’m so glad this app exists. ### 5/5 — What’s happened with Xfinity *2023-12-06, version 3.10.7* I just found out from Xfinity that I can no longer watch the TCM app. This makes me very sad. I love being able to pick movies to watch. Is there any update I can do on my Apple 12 phone to fix this? I was in the movie biz behind the Scenes for 35 years so I appreciate the care the hosts take to explain things about the movies to laypeople who also love the station. And between Ben and Eddie it’s as good as any collage course on Cinema. ### 5/5 — Die hard TCM fan *2021-01-13* This is the only channel I watch. It's like a history lesson with every movie. I don't even like current movies any longer, no morality, nothing about faith in them. In Many classics they were not ashamed to mention God, pray, love their country and be proud to live and die for our country. So many wonderfully beautiful love stories respectfully done. And I can't forget the dramas and comedies. I watch 24-7. My family knows not to ask to change the channel. I love the fact that I can take TCM with me wherever I travel and can watch on my phone or tablet!!!!!!! Love you TCM 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 I want to be a "guest "programer before I die 😃 This app is excellent. I only wish the movies could stay longer on demand 😟 I missed one the other day and tried to watch it and it has already been removed. Other than this, I am very satisfied with app. This is just some constructive criticism regarding changes to the app; when the app was revamped, you took away the ability to rewind a few seconds and viewing the movie schedule, I was very annoyed. Now with this latest update, you eliminated the ability to view in full screen. Thank you for providing me with such great content. 🍿 Handpicking which movie to watch is your best feature. 🎥 Searching is very easy based on title or actor/actress. Too bad films are deleted, but if it’s storage related that’s understandable. Having said this, I stopped using your app. Why? Cutting the cord, ✂️ or should I say, the Dish satellite 📡 back in December. My service provider login is no longer valid. This brings up the one & only suggestion I have for TCM: Please allow a one-time payment or subscription access option. It could be set monthly, yearly or lifetime. Most classic film apps are somewhere around $10/month or $100/year (lifetime apps run upwards of $300). 💰 If this is already an option you’ve implemented, please comment below to let me know. I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve probably seen most movies at least 2 or 3—maybe 15 or 20 times! I especially love movies made in the 40’s and 50’s. I love the clothes, the hair styles, the homes and cars, the attitudes! The introductions and information about the stars are my favorite. My husband loves the war movies and westerns. I’ve even gotten my kids to stay and watch an old movie! I’d love to see some movies that have never been shown on TCM before. Not from the ‘70’s or ‘80’s, but true Hollywood classics. By far,TCM is my preferred channel. ### 5/5 — Can’t Access Movie Information *2019-09-09, version 3.3* I love TCM and love to be able to watch other places than at home. However, at some point during an update the app lost the ability to access the information on the movie currently showing. Information such as cast list, articles, reviews, etc., I like to see if I can recognize an actor in a minor role or check out the articles. I don’t know why that was dropped, I still enjoy the site, but that ability was the icing on the cake. ### 5/5 — TCM is magic. *2019-03-18, version 3.2.1* I get enormous enjoyment out of watching TCM; the old movies are wonderful, and the commentary by the hosts is enlightening and amusing. I’m not so fond of the newer movies that you show, most of them can’t hold a candle to the earlier ones. I’m a huge fan of film noir, and the information delivered by Eddie Muller is inspired. When Robert Osborne died, I was concerned that perhaps TCM would falter, but the continuity provided by Ben Mankiewicz, and the addition of the two new hosts has kept the channel up to it’s usual high standards.
