### 3/5 — Petite amélioration

*2026-07-11*

*2026-07-03*

マイクゲイン設定の仕様変更により、1.27では"too much noise"が多発した条件(iOS 26 iPhone with EarPods mic)でも計測できるようになった。

*2026-07-02*

Apple EarPods

Dommage…

### 4/5 — Can’t use with bluetooth microphone

*2026-05-16, version 1.27*

I tried with my air pods and an other bluetooth mic. it would be good if we can select the source. it always use the iphones internal microphone

### 4/5 — New to mechanical watches

*2026-04-09*

Certainly a dynamic app. Has all the features of a professional watch grapher. It does take a little manipulation of the settings to gather data. I am having a little trouble in auto detect mode. If you enter a manual mode rate first and then switch back to auto detect, it recognizes the bph. One request would be an audible ticking as that would put it on par with the professional models. Worth the investment, thanks.

### 3/5 — Limited to watches

*2026-03-20, version 1.27*

This works ok for testing watches, which is its stated purpose. I wonder: could the beats rate range be extended to include mechanical clocks too?

### 3/5 — Usable

*2026-02-19, version 1.27*

I use this app for some years already and can achieve that my mechanical watches run very accurate. For this it takes some time, I need to repeat measures, play around with the settings and be very accurate with the mic position (cable headset). Comparing them with the PTB-clock and after some days make final movement adjustments will give great results. But, as said, be patient!
Recently the app does not calculate averages anymore, although still activated in the settings!???

### 3/5 — Good

*2026-02-19*

I'm worried because it starts collecting microphones as soon as I start it. I want you to do it only when measuring.

### 4/5 — İyi

*2026-01-03, version 1.27*

### 4/5 — Works well… most of the time

*2025-12-24*

When it works, it works really well but sometimes it can be quite finicky. Some watches it can’t really pick up the ticks even if I can hear it audibly. I would say it works 80% of the time hence the 4/5 star rating.

### 2/5 — Only shows amplitude

*2025-12-12, version 1.25*

I am considering a refund. Does not display beat error or rate. "collecting data" does not change for those parameters.

### 3/5 — Fun app if you’re not serious.

*2025-07-15, version 1.25*

As long as you’re not interested in accurate results this app is kinda fun to use. I have an ETA 2892 and C07.611 (H10), an NH34 and an NH35 that I have graphed over months. The 2892 has been +10 spd over the last year. The other three are -4 to -5 spd using real world data. This app is like throwing a dart at the wall. Might read +40, might read -15. Or anywhere in between. I’d expect a little variance with the NH movements but the 2892 has been EXACTLY +10. Every day. The H10 is pretty consistent too. It’s a shame that Androids “Watch Accuracy Meter” isn’t on iOS.

### 2/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-06-14*

Provides poor and inconsistent readings using the phones microphone. Will recognise external microphone but won’t provide/analyse data (this external microphone works fine with another Timegrapher app).

### 3/5 — Works pretty good

*2024-12-28, version 1.25*

Finally got it working with the built in microphone. I used it inside a glass top box to lower noise. Wasn’t able to get the quality as much as I would like. If it estimates the BPH, wrong you just get snow and have to start over. Some more set up help would be nice, probably get to 5 stars. Couldn’t get it to work with Bluetooth buds.

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-09-01, version 1.25*

This app is useless and very difficult to try to get any accurate measurements.
Using a phone to get the sound just doesn’t work even when using the Apple ear buds. Don’t waste your money.

No funciona necesita actualizar

### 1/5 — Applicazione impossibile da usare!

*2023-07-23, version 1.25*

Ho acquistato questa applicazione per 8,99 €.
Ho acquistato le cuffie originali Apple a 18,99 €.
Ho visto tutorial su come utilizzare l’applicazione.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very accurate timegrapher

*2026-04-29, version 1.27*

This has helped me tremendously see the health of vintage Omega watches. It is extremely sensitive data-in, so a quiet space is necessary. It has never failed me and remains a great tool for all watches, not just vintage. It continues to blow my mind with how accurate the amplitude is as well.

### 5/5 — Perfect for Seiko build

*2026-04-23*

I was building a grand seiko using an NH35 mechanism. The watch was gaining 6 minutes a day! Used this ap to confirm how out of sync the mechanism was and managed to get the watch to -1 second a day

### 5/5 — Great app, the best I have seen so far

*2026-04-09*

The detection algorithms seem to work well. Depending on the watch, I had to play a bit among the three algorithms, but so far so good. I was able to measure every watch I tried.

Can we please add a “monitoring” function to route the post-processed audio signal to the audio playback device? (Similar to the app Garage Band). This would allow us to use the audio output to optimize mic placement before measuring. Also it would allow the user to hear the ticks while taking the measurements.

### 5/5 — Average values

*2026-02-25, version 1.27*

Average values are not calculated! All others are fine.

### 5/5 — Excellent Timegrapher

*2026-02-03*

### 5/5 — Excellent with care

*2025-12-02*

This is the best iPhone app I have tried (I have not tried all). It gives you all the settings and output you need to access the performance of a mechanical movement, and slo to troubleshoot certain issues. It is as good as a special machine BUT is heavily dependent on correct microphone usage. This is what I did. I bought USB-C ear pods from Apple for £19. The button has a microphone on it (it’s the side of the picture of the microphone). Basically wedging that between the back of the phone and a cushion from a watch roll (picture of microphone facing watch back). Then closing the watch roll, running the cable of course out to the phone. Then putting the watch roll under my duvet and covering it further with a pillow (don’t know if the pillow is necessary). Make sure the watch is fully wound, as if not low amplitude may show better results then you get when the heart is fully pumping. The settings I use are tick detection noise cancelling on. Super gain off. Tick detection algorithm v2. Diagram noise reduction period medium or high. Beat detection auto. Works like a charm

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2025-08-21*

Worked for my old pocket watch and my new watch (nh35). Could. Adjusted my pocket watch easily. My orher did not need adjustement but could mesure it easily. V1 works fine, V2 was detecting a lot of noize.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2025-06-04*

Works very well if you input your watch specific BPM and lift angle (mine is Seiko turtle so I manually entered 21600 BPM and 53 degrees).
I googled these for my specific watch movement (the 4R36A).
I used apple wired headphone inline microphone taped to watch case and placed it in a padded box (a pelican case for a camera). I was able to tune my Seiko turtle to 0.1 ms beat error and +12 seconds per day (face up).
Best $8 I ever spent!
Thank you to the developers for building this fantastic and user friendly app!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2025-05-14*

I have a Seiko 5 automatic that I’ve owned for about 13 years and which never really kept good time from the factory, typically losing a couple of minutes every 2-3 days. I’d tried regulating it a few times by myself, just making a slight adjustment this way or that, but no matter what I did it never seemed to make much difference, so I’ve just put up with it and changed the time regularly.

Fast forward to today and using this app, I was able to immediately discover that the “beat error” - that is the timing between the “tick” and “tock” of the balance wheel - was wildly out, and must have been since the factory. Previously the only thing I knew about this adjustment was that it was the lever you mustn’t touch, because you need a timegrapher to set it correctly, but using this app I was able to set it properly for the first time ever, and then go on to make adjustments to the timing. Lo and behold, I now have a watch that’s accurate to within a few seconds each day. Complete game changer for my Seiko 5 which is finally working as designed after all these years. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Works well!

*2024-11-27*

Got this to track the accuracy of my mechanical watches. In conjunction with a wired set of EarPods with mic, this app does a great job of measuring accuracy and beat error. The chart is easy to read, displays quickly, and overall tells me what I need to know.

Not sure what the poor reviews are about but I’m finding this app to be excellent. Especially for the price.
