It won't let you log in unless you are connected to an internet. Will freeze if you try restarting it. Won't even let me connect to a new personal hotspot. You will only be able to log in to places where you have been connected to internet/wifi previously. Even after authorization done it’s asking every minute for authorization. Never ever seen this kind of app in my life. Don’t waste your time on this app. It’s killing your battery life. ### 4/5 — Great alternative to Google Authenticator *2019-11-30, version 1.8.0* Regardless if you use AuthPoint for your corporate MFA needs; this app can also be used to store third-party tokens. Just point it at a QR code, and voila - I use this instead of Google Authenticator for GMail, AWS, etc. Much better looking/colourful UI (ability to have custom icons next to each service is great). Oh, and push notifications from WatchGuard AuthPoint in a corporate environment work flawlessly too. ### 3/5 — Needs iCloud backup compatibility! *2019-06-11* Great product but I switched iPhones and was expecting for my entries to be restored in the app from my iCloud restore. All my other MFA apps returned their entries with no issues. This app needs to be able to support iCloud backup. ### 5/5 — Free, easy to use, MFA token manager! *2019-05-21* You can use this FREE application to manage third party tokens from social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and even AWS, TeamViewer, Google, etc. too. This is one, if not the only, token manager/application that allows you to protect your tokens with additional biometrics, from inside the application. WatchGuard has made MFA so easy to use and manageable from your smartphone. ### 5/5 — Hands down the slickest authentication app I’ve seen! *2019-05-21, version 1.6.1* I love AuthPoint as both a business MFA solution and for my third party tokens. I’ve thrown away all other apps I used for MFA and just use this great product. Well done @WatchGuard! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Awful UX *2026-04-08* Still does not complain to new icon theme to iOS, had to put the app in my visual trash folder so it doesn’t mess up with the red icon while all other app use dark mode. New UI is absolutely horrible and frustrating. When you accept a login request for example, clicking on accept does nothing for a second and then a random loader pops up and it accepts the request. New version added icons for tokens and login request but it shows nothing. Now app looks like an half finished product. And you still cannot export token to a third party app. We all use password manager and we have to use this damn app only for the tokens. ### 1/5 — Unreliable - crashing *2025-10-02, version 2.4.0* Crashing all the time at the worst possible moment when a connection is needed. Prior to the update, I could get 2FA notifications on my Apple Watch and could unlock my computer via the the notification on my watch. Now, since the update, I can still receive notifications on my watch but no longer have the option to unlock straight from my watch. Now I have to big out my phone to unlock. This is a big regression. ### 1/5 — Questionable *2022-02-10* Collects more information than other more reputable MFA apps (MS Authenticator, Authy). MFA does not need this information to function. Very questionable why this app does. Could be easier to move other tokens and would be nice if third party tokens retained images more consistently. Could be clearer to end users that non “third-party” tokens will be emailed to them instead of migrated… though that needs to be addressed via the IDP portals self activation feature in case they don’t have access to a cached email login. Other than those specific knit picks the app works great and features a biometric scanner in-app for viewing the TOTPs. Also allows custom images for each token. ### 5/5 — Awesome *2021-07-07, version 1.16.1* AuthPoint is being more and more integrated with the Watchguard ecosystem. AuthPoint is also a nice solution for you to manage your personal tokens, like Facebook, Amazon and others. ### 5/5 — Einfach, effizient und preiswert - mehr braucht man nicht *2021-03-06* Nur die App muss installiert werden, der Rest (Managment, Reporting...) wird als Cloud Service bereitgestellt.
