Problem with the app ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2024-01-21* FIH advertised to live stream the Olympic qualifiers on this app, ive created an account several times, but the app doesn’t works, every times it says to confirm the email address and click on the link, but the link never works, and it has been going in circles for the last one hour. International Hockey Federation should not be promoting such a non functioning app, which is probably just mining our email address data. ### 3/5 — Better but not great yet *2024-01-18* I’ve paid for one off access to a few tournaments - most recently the Olympic qualifiers. The main issue has been a consistent ‘play back error’ - mostly on live games but also on some of the replays. This requires you to close and reopen the app to resolve and in some cases restart my iPad. Really frustrating when watching live! Bit of a shame to pay and still get issues. The way it switches between landscape and portrait also not well adapted for tablet - feels like it’s defaulting to phone. ### 1/5 — Complete waste of money *2024-01-18* I spent $40 to get an all-access pass only to find out no full matches for the US can be streamed as replays. I can’t watch games live in the middle of the night. If someone is paying this much money for what seems to be on-demand streaming, they should be able to stream any game. This app is a complete bait and switch! 😠 **Developer response:** The FIH matches (FIH+ season pass) are made available as Full Replays once the tournament is over and are placed automatically on the App and the website at https://watch.hockey. There is sometimes a time delay (matches not available immediately post-match) as this is a production step that involves large Gigabyte transfers and time-zone differences. ### 1/5 — Disappointed fan *2024-01-13* Paid a yearly subscription, just rubbish. Tried logging on to watch a current game and it’s asking me to purchase a pass again. This is so substandard and frustrating - it is an embarrassment to FIH to be associated with it. Paying for access to content is just throwing your money away. However, the app runs poorly and can’t show the games you want to watch. Playback errors every few minutes despite being on a solid broadband connection. Landscape mode on iPad only shows 1/4 of a screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it several times on both my iPad & my phone but it still doesn’t work. The app opens but I can’t click in anything or open anything further then the main page. I can’t tell you what it’s like to watch a game as I never got that far. It’s a shame because there should be more hockey on TV but not through this provider. It jerks, crashes constantly when casting or screen sharing, audio gets out of sync with the picture. I’ve just tried to watch one full match replay and have had to reinstall the app and restart it 5 times. Also, the password reset doesn’t interact well with my mobile, button to reset was constantly hidden by the password keyboard. I had to go and get my iPad before it finally worked. The display doesn’t turn from portrait to landscape or go full screen on my iPad. Have paid for it a couple of times so we could watch Pro League & still issues with function. It has issues buffering the games, continually stops & starts. There seems to be no way I can reliably play these matches. It comes up with an account error every few minutes and doesn’t like to stream to Chromecast. Am hoping that the Tournament in The Netherlands will be available later on in June…. ### 5/5 — Improved App - New Features *2023-11-25* While the App is new and improved we rely on production from external production companies at the stadiums to deliver quality matches. If there are technical failures at the events these are beyond W.H control. Especially now that there’s a spoiler mode toggle in settings so I can watch a game afterwards without a worry of the score being spoiled. Love the quality too! My only complaints are: That there’s no dedicated Apple TV app. (There is an Air-Play option but, it can be a little hit or miss. Sometimes when I try to air play a game it gives an error and I have to close the app and try agin. Once it done work it seems to be fine for the most part). The only other issue I have is that I wish the entire app was usable in Landscape mode.
