### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2024-08-19, version 2.6.2*

Excellent app to program your own workout.
Easy interface, work flawlessly.

### 5/5 — Amazing for my running

*2024-05-10, version 2.5.14*

Absolutely thrilled with Watchletic! I’ve been using this app nearly every day to track my running sessions. It syncs brilliantly with my Train As One calendar, which means as soon as I fire up the app on my Apple Watch, I’m all set with my day’s workout, complete with voice notifications and all the stats I could possibly need.

I used it for my recent half marathon where I could upload the route map and set my splits and goal time for perfect pacing. It’s like having a Garmin.

While it does cater to other sports, I’ve stuck with running for now. I genuinely couldn’t manage without it!

The modest fee is a small price to pay for such functionality. Plus, the developer is incredibly supportive and responsive to feedback. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Advanced running features

*2024-04-26*

Indispensable app for computing elevation-adjusted split strategies for race day. Simple and efficient!

**Developer response:** Race day is where it shines. Thank you for the kind review!

### 5/5 — The only way to train for triathlons and Trainingpeaks

*2024-03-15*

I have a training plan from Trainingpeaks and this app is the only one that works for live workouts. Screen customization is great and you can do pool swims.

One ask: would it be possible to have a target number of laps view in swim workouts? The current experience shows it in miles then feet which isn’t too helpful for us empirical metrics folks. Also I noticed that the first length of the pool isn’t registered so I’m offset by 1 length the whole workout unless if I skip

**Developer response:** Thanks for the great feedback, your request is noted and in the backlog!

### 5/5 — Incredibly full featured app

*2024-02-21, version 2.5.8*

I’ve been using this app for running sessions, and the customisability of workouts in unparalleled. You can create simple workouts such runs to pace, HR etc, but also more advanced features such as negative splits and running power. Plus, all workout features including Strava integration are at no cost, so what’s not to love?

### 5/5 — My favorite running app

*2023-12-13*

Update 12/2023:
Updated app provides automatic import of my running plans from TrainAsOne and with the optional voice overs announcing when I’m too far or too slow it makes it very easy to stay close to my pace without having to look at my watch. Updates keep coming and improving the app all the time.

Original:
I use this app when running and it’s great. I can easily set a variable distance when I want to start my workout. I create a few workouts (each with a variable distance) so that today my workout (1mi warmup, 5mi pace, 0.5mi cooldown) is the same saved workout for tomorrows (1.25mi warmup, 8mi slow distance, 0.75mi cooldown). I open the app on the watch, select my “workout” and enter my three distances for that day and off I go. No need to create each before hand or change distances before hand). Simply a time saver. Developer listens to feedback and implements features/changes where he can).

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review. I'm very glad that you enjoy using it!

### 5/5 — Import structured workouts!

*2023-12-03*

This app is finally going to allow me to get rid of my Garmin and go Apple Watch-only.

**Developer response:** What a milestone! I'm happy that you're enjoying the app.

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2023-10-30*

Not sure how long this app has been out, but it has perfect integration with TrainingPeaks and allows me to program workouts and sync them to my Apple Watch, allowing me to ditch my glitchy, needlessly complicated name-brand endurance sports GPS watch.

This app makes life easy for endurance athletes who prefer an Apple Watch. Well done.

**Developer response:** It was first released in April 2022 and has been steadily upgraded over the years. Glad you're enjoying it and I hope to continue giving you great updates!

### 5/5 — So Much Fun

*2023-08-30*

This app perfectly integrates structured workouts from TrainingPeaks to the Apple Watch. It makes training so much more fun for me by taking care of all the data-gathering hassle. The heads-up displayed on the watch is responsive, customizable, and pretty. I’m grateful for this app.

**Developer response:** I'm grateful for YOU! Thank you for the awesome review. ⭐️

### 5/5 — Just what I needed coming from Garmin

*2023-05-06*

I never leave reviews but Garmin users who use TrainingPeaks need to know this app is excellent for syncing structured workouts to their watch.

I originally bought the AWU just to try out with full expectations I would return it. One of the blockers was TrainingPeaks plan sync. I had some issues with the plan I use and the developer of this app went way above and beyond to provide a new release to fix my issue.

Not only will it sync my planned workouts but also syncs my zones setup in TrainingPeaks. I’ve also found this app is easier to read on my watch than others I have tried. Especially in the dark.

**Developer response:** My goal was to bridge the gap between Apple Watch and Garmin so this review means a lot!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2023-05-05, version 2.3.3*

Finally an app that integrates with TrainAsONE, and a damned good one at that. Shame it’s a subscription as I’d rather be able to buy it outright, but oh well

### 5/5 — Fantastic complement to your workouts

*2023-03-23*

I use it for running with power on my AppleWatch Ultra. I import training plans from Training Peaks and run the on their scheduled days. It also works with FinalSurge and more!

**Developer response:** Have you tried the Stryd integration yet? It’s amazing if you enjoy running with power!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2023-08-02*

My training appears on my Apple Watch but doesn’t on my phone . That being said I can’t import to training peaks .

**Developer response:** Hi Juliana, please contact me at viktor@hesselbom.net and I’ll gladly help you import from TrainingPeaks and answer any other questions you may have!

### 1/5 — Not syncing to TrainingPeaks or Strava

*2023-06-11*

When I try to export to these two, the app closes and nothing happens.

**Developer response:** Should be fixed in 2.4.1!

If not, please contact me at viktor@hesselbom.net so that I can fix it for you.

### 2/5 — Editing workouts synced from somewhere else doesn’t save.

*2026-03-24, version 3.0.16*

Learn to code. Also pace doesn’t sync

### 2/5 — Poor time for a 2x price hike

*2023-12-16*

The developer decided to increase prices 2x. Its there choice but with TrainingPeaks adding the integration with the native Fitness app I see no reason to pay for Watchletic, which I used for its integration with TrainingPeaks training plans. I might have continued to use the app at the previous price but with the 2x price hike I’ve just canceled my subscription

**Developer response:** Totally understandable, Yury, please email me at viktor@watchletic.com and I think I may have something nice for you as a surprise!

### 3/5 — Not sure how this app works…

*2026-06-01, version 3.1.1*

It’s supposed to sync with Final Surge but is not bringing over the details/plan of the actual workout. I’ve given permissions for everything…

### 3/5 — Poor time for a 2x price hike

*2023-12-18*

### 3/5 — Gah. Great idea with a heartbreaking bug.

*2023-03-24*

Great little app, nicely priced to fill in the huge hole in app workouts not allowing imports. I used it this morning for some speed work and loved not having to look at my watch for the intervals. Unfortunately, it looks like the app didn’t pick up my location permission when I initially set it up (granted “While using app”). Which was fine for me during the run - Distance appears as “Distance Off” - I’m doing time intervals, so don’t care. But when I end my work out, the hour long workout was cancelled by the app because “it was too short”. 😭I would have expected it to save an export without map data. Another minor issue which would be nice to fix is that the exact heart rate doesn’t show on the screen (just where you are in your desired heart rate range).

**Developer response:** Fixed in 2.3.0!

Hi, the issue with not storing workout if too short should be fixed in 2.3.0 (now only checks that duration is more than 10 seconds)

Regarding the issue that you're not getting any distance, you might need to allow "Walking + Running Distance" permission under Settings > Health > Apps > Watchletic.

I apologize for the inconvenience with the bug and thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Regarding heart rate, please email me at viktor@hesselbom.net and tell me more!

### 4/5 — Great potential but Strava elapsed time way off

*2023-05-07*

Strava elapsed workout time for a pool swim (possibly more activities) seems to be double what was actually done.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! Please reach out to me at viktor@hesselbom.net and I would love to take a look and see if we can find the issue.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2026-05-31, version 3.1.1*

Very useful app but workouts synced from somewhere else doesn’t save.

### 5/5 — great app

*2026-04-10, version 3.0.18*

my number 1 app for apple watch for running

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Athletica Companion

*2026-03-30*

I recently switched to Athletica from another app but was stuck on getting the workouts to my Apple Watch via Apple Workouts app… Watchletic to the rescue! It just works, and when I hit a completion syncing snag, the developer responded and fixed the issue in 24 hours… 10/10, just download it. You won’t regret it!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the very kind review, glad it works so well for you!

### 5/5 — Not active in Apple Watch

*2026-03-21*

What’s up?!! The app is no more loading on my Apple Watch 8 - the icon is still here but doesn’t load the app at all. It iso ok on iPhone meanwhile.

It’s ok today. Any comments, will the service be unpredictable again?

**Developer response:** Thank you for the report. There was an issue with older devices with version 3.0.15 but that should be fixed in 3.0.16. Please let me know at viktor@watchletic.com if you're still having issues.

### 5/5 — Well balanced app - enjoy smart/utility features of Apple Watch with the sport features of a Garmin

*2025-09-17, version 3.0.5*

I’ve been using my Apple Watch to track workouts for over 5 years and like many of us have tried multiple apps.
Came across Watchletic as I’d started a training program on Training Peaks and wasn’t keen on switching to Garmin and losing the smart features of my Apple Watch.
I did try using the stock Workout app as it has Training Peaks integration however small things annoyed me (like not being able to see pace and heart rate zone on the same screen).
Watchletic solved this by providing plenty of features and customisations whilst maintaining a clean/simple feel.
I particularly enjoy the audio cues which are really well done and allow me to sometimes get through a full workout without looking at my watch!
Developer is also very active and passionate about the app which is awesome too.

### 5/5 — Great app great support, and now a great interface

*2025-08-28*

Been using this for a while and find it very useful. Especially for using with footpath and uploading to/from Train As One. Great integration providing directions and instructions.

**Developer response:** I’m glad you enjoy it!

### 5/5 — A must for structured training.

*2025-06-26*

I’ve been using Watchletic for years. Every time Apple announces fitness updates at WWDC, I try the native fitness app and then run back to Watchletic. The dev is awesome, super open to feedback and responsive. Training peaks sync works beautifully and it does a fantastic job coaching you through structured/interval workouts.

What can I say - it just works!

**Developer response:** What a wonderful review, I'm so happy it works well for you!

### 5/5 — great app

*2025-06-24, version 2.6.12*

my number 1 app for apple watch for running

### 5/5 — So helpful!!!

*2025-06-20*

I love this app! It allows workouts from StrideOn to be imported to your apple watch. When I had an issue, Viktor was so responsive & helpful & he helped fixed my issue! Couldn’t recommend it enough!

**Developer response:** I’m so happy you enjoy the app, it means a lot!

### 5/5 — App not working with Apple Watch anymore

*2024-09-21*

Many users including myself are experiencing issues where the app will not open and crashes on Apple Watch that started a few days ago. Please fix I really enjoy and have a subscription.

**Developer response:** Hi, this should be fixed in 2.6.7, can you please verify if that’s the case for you?
