## What is Watchmen?

Watch what's been watching you.

Watchmen maps the surveillance cameras in public places: license plate readers, road surveillance cameras, traffic cameras and fixed speed cameras. See the ones around you, or zoom out to see where they cluster across a city, a country or the planet.

Watchmen is a map for understanding surveillance, not a driving aid. It shows no alerts, makes no sounds, and has no driving mode. It shows fixed, mapped cameras only, never police or mobile speed checks.

Your location is not collected. No account, no ads, no analytics. The camera data downloads once and is read on your device.

Works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Camera locations come from OpenStreetMap. Camera data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.

### 5/5 — Love the fact it’s paid instead of me being the product

*2026-10-06*

The developer is awesome and I’m excited to support them again. I’m also glad to see an app like this exists.

As it’s brand new I’m excited to see updates and enhancements down the road! Still super useful (if a bit depressing) to see how many cameras watch me every single day.
