## What is WatchMyScore?

WatchMyScore is a standalone Apple Watch app for keeping score with quick taps — badminton or tennis — built for one-handed, on-court use.

Start a match, raise your wrist to arm scoring, then tap the blue half to score for Us or the red half for Them. Prefer the Digital Crown? Click it up to score Them and down to score Us — one point per detent, with a haptic per click. A firm directional haptic and a colour flash confirm every point.

The wrist-raise is what arms scoring, so stray taps with your wrist down never score. Lower your wrist and the screen rests dark to save battery. A "Hold to unlock" pill arms scoring when a wrist-raise is awkward.

Choose your sport and score goal in the companion iPhone app: badminton to 21, 15, or 11 (rally scoring, win by two, with a cap), or a tennis game (0/15/30/40 with deuce/advantage).

The iPhone app also keeps your full history — drill from a workout to a set to a match, with score and heart rate on a shared timeline — shows daily/weekly/all-time stats, and can overlay the recorded score and heart rate onto a video of your match and export it. Workouts appear in the Fitness app under their sport.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 3.10 — 2026-08-24

What's new since 3.2:

• Safer, easier controls during play. Larger Undo, Pause, and Hold to unlock controls are easier to use between rallies. Crown-side touch protection adapts
to how you wear your watch, and a longer Crown cooldown helps prevent accidental double points.
• Clearer match decisions. Native pause and match-finished sheets show the set score with full-width actions for continuing, ending the match, or ending the workout.
• Every workout can count. Save a session even when no rallies were scored, with useful duration and calorie summaries instead of an empty history entry.
• Faster match-video preparation. Video opening now shows progress, an estimated time remaining, and a cancel action. Overlay exports continue while you move
around the app or lock the screen.
• Better DJI timestamp recovery. WatchMyScore detects likely recording-time mismatches, lets you choose the recording time zone, explains each proposed
correction, and applies or undoes fixes one video at a time.
• Cleaner video overlays and clip matching. A compact live scoreboard and heart rate overlay stays visible throughout the clip, score events call out each point, and workout pages help identify videos recorded during play.

### 3.2 — 2026-07-15

What's new since 2.6:

- **A cleaner scoreboard on your video.** The overlay is now one tidy scoreboard
bar — match, set score, both sides' points, heart rate, and where you played,
all in a single strip — and it stays on screen for the whole clip instead of
blinking in and out. Every point sends a scrolling *US SCORE* / *THEM SCORE*
banner across the bar in the scoring side's colour, and the match-winning point
gets its own *US WINS* / *THEM WINS* banner.
- **Line the score up with your video.** A new *Overlay offset* control nudges
the score updates a little earlier so they land with the play as it happened,
not the beat later when you tapped — or tap *Auto* and WatchMyScore reads the
motion in your clip and suggests the offset for you.
- **Find the right clip, faster.** Each workout shows how many of your videos it
can score, and the picker lists only the clips actually filmed during play. If
your camera saved a clip with the time it was imported rather than filmed (DJI
does this), tap *Can't find your videos?* and WatchMyScore recovers the real
filming time and corrects it in Photos — undoable at any time.
- **Exports that finish.** Burning the overlay into a video now runs app-wide: a
progress bar rides above the tabs wherever you go, and the render keeps going
when you leave the app or the screen locks.
- **Fix where you played.** Indoor courts often leave the watch without a GPS
fix, or pin the workout to the wrong nearby place. Open a workout, expand its
location, and tap *Edit location* to set the right spot — search for the court
or, on newer iPhones, tap it straight on the map. Your original recorded
location is kept and never lost.
- **No more accidental double points.** A quick flick of the Digital Crown could
coast past a second detent and score twice. The pause between crown points is
longer now, so one turn means one point.
