## What is Water Eject?

Sound muffled after rain, a splash or the pool? Water Eject pushes water out of your iPhone speaker with sound. It takes about 30 seconds and nothing touches your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
At about 165 Hz the speaker membrane moves the most and pumps air through the grille. Short pulses break the surface tension that holds droplets in the mesh, and slow frequency sweeps shake loose whatever is left. It is the same idea as Water Lock on Apple Watch.

CLEANING MODES
• Water: eject water after rain, a splash or a shower
• Dust: shake loose particles from the speaker grille
• Deep: a longer cycle for heavily muffled sound
• Earpiece: its own frequency band for the top speaker you hear calls through
• AirPods and Bluetooth speakers: clean external devices too

SOUND TOOLS
• Speaker Test: check the left and right channels and stereo balance
• Tone Generator: any frequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with sine, square, saw and triangle waves and quick presets
• Noise Meter: sound level in dB with min, average and max readings

ONE TAP FROM ANYWHERE
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
• Control Center button
• Siri, Shortcuts and the Action button
• Made for iPad too, in portrait and landscape
• Made for iPhone Duo, folded or unfolded

FOR BEST RESULTS
• Turn the volume all the way up
• Keep the speaker facing down and take the case off
• Run the cycle again if the sound is still muffled
• Never wear headphones in your ears while cleaning: the tones are loud

Sound can clear water and loose dust from the speaker grille. It can't repair hardware damage. If your phone was fully submerged, turn it off and let it dry first.

## Frequently asked questions about Water Eject

### How does Water Eject remove water from my speaker?

Water Eject uses specific sound frequencies, around 165 Hz, to vibrate the speaker membrane. This vibration pumps air through the grille, pushing water out. Short pulses break surface tension, and frequency sweeps dislodge remaining droplets.

### What are the different cleaning modes in Water Eject?

Water Eject offers modes for 'Water' (after rain or shower), 'Dust' to shake loose particles, 'Deep' for heavily muffled sound, and 'Earpiece' for the top speaker. It can also clean external devices like AirPods and Bluetooth speakers.

### Can Water Eject fix hardware damage to my speaker?

No, Water Eject can only clear water and loose dust from the speaker grille. It cannot repair any actual hardware damage. If your phone was submerged, turn it off and let it dry before using the app.

### Does Water Eject have ads?

Water Eject does not contain advertisements. The app is free to try with daily cleaning limits, and a Pro subscription unlocks unlimited cleaning and all features.

### What are the subscription options for Water Eject Pro?

Water Eject Pro offers two subscription plans: $3.99 per week with a 3-day free trial, or $34.99 per year. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

### What sound tools are included in Water Eject?

Beyond cleaning, Water Eject includes a 'Speaker Test' to check stereo balance, a 'Tone Generator' for frequencies from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with various wave types, and a 'Noise Meter' to measure sound levels in decibels.

### How can I access Water Eject quickly?

Water Eject offers convenient access through Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a Control Center button, and integration with Siri and Shortcuts. It is also available for iPad and foldable phones.

### What is the best way to use Water Eject for optimal results?
